If you don’t want to deal with BS, Ted is your guy. He shows up and works hard. He does all the work himself, and he does a good job. The quality of his tile work is definitely expert level. His pricing is very transparent, as he provides an itemized list for everything he charges for. He’s just a real solid, old school type of guy that you can trust to do what he says he is going to do. He’s also very up front about anything that he doesn’t feel qualified to do. He keeps his job site clean and hauls off all the debris and waste. He’s very flexible and easy to work with. I messed up and bought the wrong kind of tile for the floor, but Ted worked with me to get it all straightened out. I would advise you to clear anything you are going to buy with your contractor first before you buy it. Overall, I highly recommend Ted.

Our plastic insert broke so we needed it fixed. Ted was amazing! He knew exactly what needed to be done and was $2k less than the competition. Worked quickly even through hard weather conditions. The shower looks amazing now and couldn’t ask for anything better! Highly recommend!!!

Outstanding! Ted was a pleasure to work with, gave excellent recommendations on what components and materials to purchase, was always on hand to advise as project progressed, didn't add in charges for unforeseen issues (based on original home construction), and finished on time! Ted is quick to explain what his areas of expertise are and what be better being farmed out to someone else. I value this as I'm fine hiring the right people for a particular task...and I'm glad that Ted was clear and honest up front on this subject. Everything he did was exceptional in quality and I look forward to hiring him again to do my other bathroom soon!

Anyone can write a great review on any home service referral site, and they sure are a great way to praise good service. I just wish there was an even more powerful way to describe the outstanding, professional service and workmanship we received from Ted at First Class Tile. From the very first call through the day of completion was a first class experience, and we could not be happier with the entire process. The day I called Ted for an estimate, he was able to come and provide detailed recommendations and pricing. His formal written estimate was exactly what he described in person earlier that day. He got us scheduled quickly, and worked with us on questions and design elements in the days leading up to the job. AND guess what ! He showed up on time or even a few minutes early each day to begin work. And WORK HE DID ! He quickly set up and protected our floors all the way to outside the house. He worked Clean, fast, and efficiently. Each day he explained what would be completed that day, and he always accomplished what he said he would. He cleaned up the work area spotless after himself every day. He gave great instructions on preparing and maintaining our new shower. And the bill was exactly what was estimated, no surprises ! He was so friendly and agreeable. I have spent my entire life in the service industry and Ted’s customer service is truly a refreshing thing! Trust him with any job he promises to deliver on, you will be so glad you did.

Ted and his coworker were amazing!! They were able to work with our schedule around the holiday's and were always on-time. They were able to demo our bathroom in a day (removal of closet, jetted tub and single sink vanity). They were tidy and made sure to keep dirt and dust off our carpets and newly installed hardwood floors. They were priced lower than the other two estimates and didn't attempt to sell us anything we really didn't need. Would absolutely hire again for any future needs!

I can't say enough good things. You owe it to yourself to call Ted first for a remodeling job. I know there are tons of companies out there -- make sure you call Ted. His estimate for both time and cost was better than the others, and he didn't charge any more (except for things I added) or take longer to work than what he originally said. Ted was here every day Monday-Wed, and finished early on Thursday (maybe Friday, I can't remember). His and his associate's work were exceptional. His advice was always spot-on. Everything was beautifully done -- there's no way the other companies could have matched his work, although they wanted to charge me more and spread the work out over a couple of weeks. Everyone compliments us on how it looks. I intend to re-hire Ted for other projects . Thank you, Ted.

Ted did an amazing job. Not only was he extremely professional, he was always on time and delivered exactly what he said he would. His contractor for the frameless door was also outstanding. Bathroom turned out better than expected.

From the reviews on Angie's List, this provider seemed to be quality, but hard to schedule due to his busy schedule. My job was small, but I caught him between bigger jobs and the timing worked out perfectly.
Ted is very professional and on-time. He came by the house to assess the job and we agreed on a tentative time to complete the job and cost. He said it would take less than 90 minutes to complete. I told him I have allergies and asked if he could contain the dust when breaking up the tile as best as possible and he said no problem. I was very concerned about matching the grout. We considered several samples and made a selection. I am very specific about what I want and like, but in this case I know it is difficult to match exactly the grout, especially with 18 year old grout surrounding the remaining tiles.
He called and confirmed the time and when he was on the way called again to let me know his ETA. Ted and his assistant Joe arrived, prepared the area and in an enclosed bathroom, broke up the tile using a vacuum to collect as much of the dust and debris as possible. They laid the tiles, wiped down the tiles and removed all of the debris and work materials and presented me with an invoice in under 90 minutes. I was amazed!! Ted did a wonderful job and no one will ever notice the newer grout.

Ted did an excellent job. My bathroom looks beautiful! The shower in my master bathroom leaked into the bedroom due to an old shower liner that needed to be replaced. This resulted in needing to retile the shower. I also wanted to expand it. Upon knocking out the tile Ted found that the studs needed to be replaced due to previous termite damage. He replaced the studs, sheetrock and retiled as well as expanded the shower and added a frameless door. He also retiled and replaced the tub. Ted does most of the work himself along with another worker. He contracts out for the frameless glass door and the paint job. Both of the workers were also excellent and did a great job. Ted was very professional, friendly, courteous, and on time. He gave me a detailed estimate and explained everything up front. I had several estimates and Ted's was the most reasonably priced. He also was the only professional who explained everything in detail prior to beginning the work. He was always easy to get a hold of and returned calls promptly if he was not available. I would definitely recommend him and hope to use him in the future to remodel another bathroom.

They did a tub conversion to a shower, Excellent work very neat, they cleaned up every day when they where finish. Ted and his associate where very professional and accommodating to our request. Wanted you pleased with every step of the work.

Ted worked with us every step of the way. His estimate changed twice and he updated us each time and went with our recommendations as well as his own. The project took two weeks to complete. No subcontractors, just Ted and another worker. We were extremely pleased with his work and commitment to excellence. I'd highly recommend 1st Class Time and Bathroom remodeling.We are going to use this company to remodel our kitchen next.
