G & A Heating and Cooling

Mr. Walton identified the problem and fixed it. I have used him for many years but never got around to writing a review. I appreciate his professionalism, the quality of his work, the care he takes in covering up the work area with plastic, his attention to detail, his clean up after the job is completed, and his follow up contact. I would highly recommend his services if you have cooling and heating issues in the Tuscaloosa, AL or surrounding area.

Mr. Walton was completely unprofessional. He showed up without adequate tools or supplies. he did not appear to be qualified to do the work.  he had obtained a coil from the supplier.  The coil was rolling around in the back of his truck when he showed up. He had damaged the coil prior to coming to my house, and it was leaking from the time he installed it. The unit quit working within several hours.  The refrigerant had completely leaked out.  He did not know how to instal the coil. He was using improper tools to work with th coil. He was unable to solder correctly. He left without testing the system for leaks. I am amazed that he supposedly has a license from the State of Alabama to do refrigeration.

I like everything about G&A Heating and Cooling. They were very pleasant to deal with, clean dressed, and their vehicle was clean. I would definitely use them again.

We had used G & A for cleaning service for our air conditioner a couple of years before their latest service last year, and had been happy with the service. So when our air conditioner developed ice on its exterior and started blowing hot air, we called G & A first. However, the owner, Gerry, was on another job and we had to leave a message. Since it was summer in Alabama, we were impatient to get someone out to fix the air conditioner, so we called another company. What a mistake! The other company sent someone out who did next to nothing, didn't fix the problem, and charged hundreds of dollars along with the concern that we would need to spend hundreds more to get the cold air blowing again. We told this other company we'd get back to them. Luckily, Gerry (pronounced "Gary") called back that afternoon and came right out as soon as he could. He worked in the blistering sun to thoroughly work over our air conditioner until it was working again and charged only a fraction of what the other company had charged. We will never call anyone for heating and cooling service except Gerry Walton and G & A Heating and Cooling.
