Jerry Qualls Roofing

We had wind damage from a storm that passed through the first part of August.  Our insurance came out and assessed the damage and let us know we needed a new roof because of both wind and hale damage.  We wanted to get a few estimates of course so I called several different roofers and construction places.  I looked on Angies List but there were none for this area so I looked in the phone book for ones that were closer.  I called 7 different places and only 3 came and gave estimates.  Then our friend recommended Mr Qualls who had done some work for him and said he did a really great job.  Now you have to understand that this friend is very picky about his home and property so if he recommends someone you can bet he is good at what he does.  So I called Mr Qualls at about 7 pm, apologized for the hour, and asked if he could give us an estimate on the roof and he said he would come out in a couple of days.  He did just that and we decided to go with him.  He was very professional and let us pick out what we wanted for the color and type of shingle.  We did not know there was a shingle that would withstand high winds, needless to say that that is what we need here.  It was a little higher price but we think its worth it. The first shingle we picked out was no longer available and he called us to let us know and we picked out another that he had to order but was available and he called us when it came in. He did show my husband where eaves needed to be replaced and that did cost a little more, about $200 but he still was cheaper than the other 3 that gave us estimates just for the roof without any replacing of eaves or maybe wood under the old shingles.  He planned on coming out on Sept 28th and finish on Sept 30th.  But it rained and he couldn't start the roof until the next day but said that he would still be finished on the 30th because he was bringing his entire crew.  He did deliver the supplies on the 28th and the crew showed up on the 29th and stripped the old shingles off and put on the tar paper.  When I came home from work there was nothing in the yard or driveway to give any evidence that they had torn the old roof off.  They came today and laid all the shingles and left no mess behind.  If you did not know that they had come out and put an new roof on you would never know.  We would definitely recommend Mr Qualls and his crew to do work for anyone who would ask us to recommend someone for roofing.  They did a great job
