We called the shop to ask about the process and were a little hesitant when they told us they don't make house calls and they have to have a $125 deposit just to look at the TV because of its size.  We weren't sure how to get the TV to their shop, but we had been told by several friends/family that this was the place to take it.  We were given a rolling cart at the entrance when we arrived and one of the guys helped get it in.  We paid the $125 fee and he told us he would give us a call in a few days after they determined what the problem was and the cost to fix it.  He assured us they use only genuine Samsung parts.  So, we waited a couple of days and didn't hear back from them.  We called the shop and the guy told us he had forgotten to call, but told my husband how much it was going to cost and said if we weren't willing to pay to fix it, the guy was interested in buying it from us.  My husband agreed to fix it.  Several days later we called to check on the progress and were told that Samsung had shipped them a part that came in a beat up box.  The guys refused the shipment and had to wait for Samsung to send a new part.  He told us that there was probably nothing wrong with the part, even though the box was not in good condition, but he said that he didn't feel good about putting that part in the TV.  A about a week and a half after we originally dropped off the TV, they called and said it was ready.  We went to the shop and paid the remaining balance.  They applied the deposit to the repair cost.  The guys in the shop were both friendly and helped get the TV out to the truck when it arrived.  The TV was on and working when we went to pick it up.  There were no scratches or flaws to the TV as a result of the repair.
