I shipped a damaged receiver to this business, got an estimate for the repair, and authorized them to proceed. After several months of evading my attempts to inquire about the repair status, they finally informed me that it could not be repaired. I told them to ship it back which they did. The receiver was damaged in the return shipment plus the face plate came back scratched under their care. I sent them pictures of all the damage and asked them for compensation for the damage. The owner, Jack, instead accused me of trying to scam his company with some kind of scheme to shake him down for money. Needless to say he was lying and evading my attempts to be compensated for damage to my receiver. He greatly insulted and offended me. This man, Jack, has no ethics and was very, very rude. I was always polite and civil to him. I also believe that his shop was not very competent given the run around I got for months before they gave up on my receiver. I strongly suggest that you stay away from this shop.

When I looked online, there were some TV repair places specializing in large screen TVs. We have a 54" and a 74" TV, both of which needed fixing. I called the phone numbers, but one was out of business and another had no answering machine and nobody answered. We'd had 3D out to the house one time when one of the two TVs was still under warranty, and the guy was fine, so I called the company for this problem. I called late on a Monday, they were booked up the next day, and we made an appointment for 3D to come out mid-morning on Wednesday. They were over a hour late, and explained that they'd been on a call earlier that went longer than planned. OK, fine. They almost immediately knew what was wrong with the larger TV, and had the means to repair it on the spot. It was a burst light, which explained the loud "pop" I heard before the screen died. For the smaller TV, I knew the fan was out but that could not be fixed by novices such as we are. Also, 3D determined that the color wheel was kaput and would have to be replaced. This would necessitate another visit to the house, unless we wanted to have them take the TV with them. Oh, that sounded fraught with danger, so we opted for another visit to the house. By the way, the charge for a house call is $169. They did not charge for the follow-up visit to our home. This company gives me great confidence in their ability to analyze and fix anything that goes wrong with our TVs, and I recommend them to anybody in the area with problems with any size television.
Description of Work: Our Mitsubishi 74" TV made a loud POP sound and quit. 3D came to the house, identified the problem, and fixed it. Our Samsung 54" seemed to try to come on, made an effort to show a picture and failed, and I gave up. 3D determined the color wheel had to be replaced, as well as a fan.
