We hired this company to pressure wash our fence, paint shutters and install a gate. They started the pressure wash and stopped midway. Took them a week to come back and finish at which time they washed half of our shutters and asked for 100 dollars to buy supplies. They took the cash and never came back even after several phones calls in which they always promised to come "tomorrow". They did a lot of work for our neighbor and left owing him hundreds of dollars as well. Do not use this contractor! They lied to us repeatedly and stole our money. Even the fence washing was a sloppy job!

Juan Gonzalez, who does work in the Birmingham Area, was recommended by a friend. He installed carpet throughout my entire house. Before I gave him the money to purchase the carpet, I asked him why it was so expensive when I only needed 121 square yards. Mr. Gonzalez told me that Issis & Sons (where he was going to purchase the carpet) sold carpet by the linear foot & not by the square yard. I requested my invoice for the carpet purchase several times during the day while he was installing my carpet. After he completed the work, I paid him the labor fee and Mr. Gonzalez gave me my invoice for the purchase. I was really confused about the invoice & thought about it for a week. I called Issis & Sons in Pelham (where the purchase was made) and asked the manager to look at my invoice and explain it to me. I was told that the carpet was sold by the square yard and not by the linear foot as they do not sell carpet by the linear foot. Mr. Gonzalez purchased 170.67 square yards of carpet and 150 square yards of pad with my money. According to the measurements of the carpeted area, I only needed 121 square yards. (The last time I carpeted, I purchased 128 square yards for the same area.) Mr. Gonzalez left with an extra 49.67 SY of carpet & 29.67 SY of pad that I paid for. I talked with the salesman that sold Mr. Gonzalez the carpet. He told me Mr. Gonzalez used to work for Issis & Sons and that he (the salesman) often recommended Mr. Gonzalez for carpet installation. The salesman told me that he would not be able to recommended Mr. Gonzalez again if he was going to cheat people & offered to talk to Mr. Gonzalez for me. I also called Mr. Gonzalez and confronted him. He denied having stolen the carpet. I also told him that I expected him to make it right and that he also needed to come back and repair the seams as they were unacceptable. The second time I called Mr. Gonzalez, he admitted taking the carpet and would make it right. He offered to paint and clean my garage. He said he would repair the seams at that time. When I didn't hear back from Mr. Gonzalez as to when he would take care of all of this, I called him again. This time, Mr. Gonzalez was verbally abusive and said he wouldn't do anything for me because I told the salesman at Issis & Sons what he had done. He refused to come back and repair the carpet. I had to hire someone else to try to repair the mess Mr. Gonzalez made with my carpet. The man I hired, Doug Ferrell, (& paid $200) said he could not fix the seams as they were too bad. He cut & pieced the carpet together in my doorways and the entire length of my living & dining rooms (464 square feet). Doug Ferrell made a mess, too. I have brand new carpet that has been pieced together all through my house with seams that p***** and do not meet. I?ve been a home owner for over 35 years, & I know what carpet is supposed to look like. I don?t know if these people took advantage of me because I am single, or if they just simply lack integrity.
