We have been a trusted member of this community for over 30 years. Located in Madison AL we are family owned business. The owner comes out and is hands on. We are a licensed and insured general contractor. We specialize in roofing, siding, remodels, decks & patios, painting and so much more. We are an insurance claims specialist. We are an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau and a member of the Huntsville/Madison County Builders Association.

Josh explained that the roof will likely need to be replaced within the next few years (it's about 25 years old). When it comes time for the replacement, we will definitely contact 1Stop Roofing and Exteriors again!

Our insurance adjuster agreed, and cut us a check which was closer to this estimate (suggesting that our first estimate was indeed probably over-priced).
Josh returned to confirm the shingle choice and provide answers to any remaining questions. We were especially pleased to learn their expectations for payment would not require us to hand over the full cost at the time of service, which would have required loans or credit card usage until the insurance paid us. That was a huge relief, and was very generous of them. That's the way to make the customer happy!
1Stop arranged the work very quickly, and were instantly responsive to our calls and emails, and arrived exactly as scheduled, on time. Work was completed in one day, and cleanup was thorough. We have not found any roofing nails left behind on the driveway or walk, the bricks and tarp I had placed on the roof myself were neatly taken down and set out for us to put away, and everything looks terrific!
We've had several heavy rains since the service, with no evidence of leaks.
1Stop has followed up with us to provide all the paperwork we need to finish up with the insurance company.
Everyone we dealt with, from the person who took our first phone call, to Josh who was our main point of contact, and the roofers themselves, all were pleasant, trustworthy, competent, careful, and considerate.
While we don't expect to have any more roofing needs for the foreseeable future, if damages occurred and we needed it, we'd go right back to 1Stop Roofing. We'll definitely consider them for other exterior work we may need in the future, and will recommend them to friends seeking roof repairs.
As I was getting multiple quotes from other companies, I decided to go with another company strictly on price. However, 1Stop Roofing seems to me to be very professional, punctual, and prompt. I wanted to give them kudos for that even though I didn't go with them in the end.
After doing the measurement of my chimney the first cap was a tad to small and they had to make another one. They could've used it but they wanted it to be right. I appreciated that to.
Work was done promptly, quickly. They did a good job in cleaning up any remaining debris after the job was complete. However, I have found numerous roofing nails >50 in the driveway. Just waiting for a flat tire..... Their price quote for installing the patio access door was almost double competing offers I received. The door was installed warped such that it wont close properly and the trim around the door was incomplete such that small animals can come and go from the enclosed patio. I will have to complete the job myself. Other than the warped installation, the door was what I wanted.
The patio cover withstood several days of torrential rains we had shortly after the job was complete and appears to be water-tight. Unfortunately, they removed the existing powered attic ventilation fan and did not replace it. There are just loose hot live wires dangling from the patio ceiling. Installing, a new roof ventilation fan is another part of the job that I will have to do myself.
The roof of the home addition appears to have been installed well and so far seems leak proof. I don't know what happened while they were up on the roof as there was non-trivial sheetrock cracking on the ceiling inside of the building. I hope that was just a side effect of having roofers nailing on roof support beams. I can fix this myself.
I pay good money for contractors to do a complete job so I won't have to take time off of work and do it myself. Once again, I have a job that, while 90% was completed satisfactorily, I have to go in myself and complete the job and repair their errors and omissions. With many many years of home ownership behind me, I can't think of a single job that i didn't have to finish myself.
