bad experience all the way around!

We've worked with Metro before for a different renovation project, and hired them again because the work was done carefully (e.g., to minimize dust) and done well, pretty much on time, and at a reasonable price. The subcontractors are good - reliable, friendly, and do good work. The only exception was on our first job: the cabinetmaker was terrible and we would not use him again, which Metro understood. Subs also were excellent at cleanup and didn't damage anything outside of the renovation. The contractor doesn't always schedule in the most efficient way and needs some reminders to get things done (otherwise we'd give them all A's), but he also didn't hide or add any costs so the benefits outweighed the minor inconvenience of scheduling glitches. We'd recommend them for remodeling.

Got a mass mailer which is why I choose this company.  Called him and he said he would be out that week.  He was out within the week and measured and asked questions about what I wanted done.  I told him what I wanted and was very straight forward.  I was waiting for a price/estimate and am still waiting.  I have tried to contact this company over 5 times now and have yet to receive a call back.   His business parter answered his phone once and said he would call him right back, but still has not.  I would not have had a problem if he just was straight with me and told me he was too busy with other jobs, but he has not. 

They are very detailed in explaining what is wrong and why it is wrong, and what can be done to fix it. I mean, it gives you confidence in hiring them when you hear them explain exactly what they think is causing the problem and what is even going on underneath and can't be seen. They worked very hard in the high heat; in fact, one of the days they stayed for nearly 12 hours. At some point we smelled a gas leak, so they went all around trying to locate the source. Eventually, I had to call Alagasco. Metro Contractors did not cause the leak - it was a coincidence in timing. But I was impressed that the took an hour trying to find it and to ascertain if they were the cause of it. I have to say, too, that I like that they sent me a pdf of my contract before they started, that they did not go over the amount agreed to, and that they were friendly and responsive throughout. I will hire them again.

My remodeling projects were completed by another contractor.

They had to add insulation to the existing insulation. They did a good job and didn't leave a mess around. They did what ever they were supposed to do. The price was exactly what I had expected.

Metro contractors was extremely easy to deal with from beginning to end. I had no problem reaching them if I had any questions. They kept me informed during the whole process, and they seemed genuinely concerned that I be happy with their work. They arrived on time, and everyone was very friendly. My front stoop and new door unit have been the talk of the neighborhood, and everyone says that the additions change the look of my house. Several people have requested the name of my contractor, which I was happy to give them. When I changed my mind about a color for my front flashing, they repainted it without complaint. I would have no hesitation about calling them again for additional work.

Our home is 41 years old. One of our original wooden columns blew down in a storm. We decided to replace all four. We had them special ordered for us. They painted them to match the house. It took four guys to lift each one up to install it. They did a good job with getting them up. We knew they would we had used them on other projects over the years; our friend also got a sunroom from them.

The company did an awesome job! I was very pleased with the work. Now I know that my family can enjoy the back yard patio. The workers all did a great job considering the work that was done and they finished it in a great amount of time.

The kitchen is beautiful, I would not think twice about making a referral to anyone. They removed all the old cabinetry, lighting flooring and appliances. Everything is very modern now. The whole process took a little over two weeks, but they handled everything. I know they also did their best to keep the refuse cleaned up keep the noise down as much as possible. It was just a great renovation. Before I forget they also built a great deck off of the kitchen which is great to have for entertaining.
