TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Huntsville

We had a good experience with them.  They worked very hard.  I don't remember the price as it was a while ago.

I almost want to knock one of the ratings down so it doesn't look like I just rushed through the rating and review, but I can't in good conscience reduce any of the components. They were excellent in all areas. Although my wife and I are still youngish (29), I've yet to have a better experience with a company.

My wife and I hired Two Men & A Truck to move our 3 bedroom apartment (on third floor) in Madison, AL to our new home in Somerville, AL. The estimate / quote stage was simple; I spoke with a rep over the phone who took an inventory of what each room contained and took care to ask about potentially uncommon, oversized, or special handling type items (piano, large mirrors, large televisions,etc.). I liked the quote and hired them. I panicked the night before when we ran out of boxes, but a simple phone call had the movers bringing boxes with them and we packed odds and ends while the movers worked.

The three men arrived, verified all details (destination, another review of quote to make sure everything was understood), made a quick plan about when and how to load irregularly sized or fragile items. They packed the truck carefully and quickly and drove slow enough that I got frustrated following them and went on. They arrived and put down plastic runners to avoid soiling the carpet. They unloaded the truck and staged all furniture where we requested. They even moved several items that didn't fit where we'd intended or didn't look right in the room. They assembled all beds and tables. They unfurled area rugs and re-staged furniture as needed (e.g. dining room table).

We've all heard the stories about movers breaking things and being inconsiderate with your belongings, or dealing with rude and unprofessional employees, but I now know that those folks were not using Two Men & A Truck. Give them a call - you won't regret it.

I chose them because of price.  They took great care wrapping the edges of furniture so that they weren't damaged.  Even when they didn't think I was looking, they were real careful with my stuff.

They were on time, quick to load the truck and careful when unloading the truck. There was a minor damage to a piece of furniture and it was repaired at no cost of ours.

They did an excellent job for me as always.  It was fine overall and they did as they quoted.  They were professional and able.  You call and you make a date and time to show up, and you could be within 2 weeks out.

, Job was scheduled with ease, work was performed as stated and it was an excellent experience.

We packed everything but they moved all the boxes. We bought the boxes. They pretty much moved the whole house. There were a lot of boxes and there was one refrigerator that was moved. They pretty much did a great job. They were on time and took care of all of our things. They did not damage anything and set everything up. They took all the boxes into each room that they were supposed to go. They were very quick and we were very satisfied with the job that they did. They were local and they seemed to have the best prices. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

I’ve used them several times and I’m very pleased with their services.  They didn’t have to truck the furniture to move.  The job went very well.  They have a really good crew out there to take care of it.  I think that they’re reasonable.  I think that they’re the right group.  They seem to have good strong people working for them and they’re very careful with their work.  They come with experience and I’ve just been fortunate I guess that I have them.  Every time they seem to come out, they seem to have a big crew and don’t seem to struggle with the heavy stuff.  They’re right up and take them all out.  I will use their services again in the future.

Contacted company on the 15th of October for a move date of October 29th.  The earliest an estimator could get there was the 21st, but the office manager assured me they would reserve the truck in order to meet the move date.  Cue the estimator on the 21st, very professional, did a great job of explaining the services.  He left to provide the estimate, and I get a quick call back that the office manager did not remember to reserve the truck for the 29th.  Big issue.  The estimator made every effort to provide a work around, even to the point of loading up a day early when a truck was available.  Eventually the best option for us was to postpone the move until the 1st.  The only reason the above ratings are less than 5 is due to that single mix-up.

The proposal was professional, and reasonable.  Billing was done based on an hourly rate plus fuel charge, which was very easy to understand.  Cancellation charge (if we canceled less than 48 hours prior) was two hours.

The movers themselves were fantastic!  They were careful of our property, polite, professional, with great attitudes.  By the time of the actual move, I had rented a U-haul and moved all of the boxed items myself, leaving only larger bulky items for the team.  They jumped on it, moved the remaining items, and because they bill by the hour I saved some money (if not my back).

I would recommend this firm without any reservation for future moves.

I had initially assigned somebody else for the job and it was a family owned business but I was very disappointed with them.  They were walking by holding their pants up with one hand and they wanted to move my furniture but I said no. I basically fired them. They were awful and pathetic. I basically told them to turn around and that they would not be touching my things. So, they left. I was desperate because I had already hired the rental truck and I had hired them to load the rental truck for me. I then called Two Men And A Truck and they sent somebody over for me that afternoon. I called them back and told them as well. They came in while these other people were arguing on how they wanted to load my truck and I had told them what I wanted on there. I thought that they were good. They were not even supposed to be working that afternoon as they wanted to watch the football game which I don't blame them for because I was freaking out by watching all of that. They were wonderful. They helped me out a lot. They came in and worked. I said to them that it was all the money that I had and told them to walk over there and do the job. They did a great job. I would like to grade them as the best. It hurt but their price was reasonable. Their price was in par with everybody else.

They were here on time.  They worked really hard.  They did exactly what they said they would do.  I was just impressed with all the effort they put in.

They showed up at the agreed time of 8:30.  They quickly packed the apartment, within about 3 hours.  They then set up the furniture in each room.  Some of the furniture, especially the bedroom set is complicated, but they got it working right away.  My husband then took them to the storage unit, back near the apartment.  There was extra furniture and lots of boxes, but they had it done in no time.  They completed their moving within the time stated in the estimate.  Their service was professional.  This was the easiest move and I would definitely hire them again.

I scheduled the move over the phone about three weeks in advance and had no trouble making an appointment. They asked questions to determine how much furniture and other household items I had. I encouraged them to visit my home for a walk-through but they declined. As a result, the actual final cost was approximately twice their  estimate – so beware. They delivered boxes one week prior to the move. (I did my own packing and did not use their packing services.) On moving day, they showed up on time and went right to work loading the truck. The movers were college kids – VERY polite, courteous and responsible. They immediately informed me of any nicks or dings they created (which were minimal). They worked constantly from 8am to 9pm with only a 45 minute break for lunch. I’d use these guys again. Pros: very conscientious, hard working kids Cons: They do not haul away any packing residue/wrapping material

I’ve used them several times to move. They are a nationwide company now. They started out locally in the Southeast and then pretty much moved. They started out as local movers and now they move anybody just about anywhere. Their price and quality is good. They use young college kids to move so the guys are young, energetic and want to do the job. I’ve had some other experiences with movers. I was in the military and I’ve moved 17 times in 20 years and I’ve had some pretty bad helps on occasions. I always call them back. They moved us form to the South. They moved us form our old house to an apartment and from the apartment to this place when we built this house. They also moved some of my dad’s things and they’ve done a good job on several occasions. I would use them again in the future if need be.

My wife and I were extremely impressed with the professionalism, knowledge and attitude of the young men who moved us. They worked tirelessly for over eleven hours and took special care of our furnishings. To be honest we expected something less than the old line movers who have been around for years but I would say they equal or excede them in every category. While we haven't moved often it was refreshing to see a small business enterprise that took all the steps to do it right!

Overall, I was pleased. There were a couple issues that were quickly resolved by 2 Men and a Truck.

The move went well. Two Men and a Truck arrived on time, they did not damage any of my belongings or furniture, and they were very professional. They were very accommodating on scheduling, too.

The movers arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently. They were very friendly and professional, taking great care of the furniture. Moving a piano cost about $50 extra, I believe. They are pricier than some other moving companies, but did a great job for us.

I couldn't be happier. They were on time. During the move, I reconsidered what exactly I wanted moved, and considered having them move significantly more than I'd originally estimated. They had no problem with that, they sat down and made me a new estimate on the spot. They charge a flat $99/hour, so however long it takes, that's what it costs. They worked like beavers the entire time, and were careful with my stuff. Your could probably get similar work a little cheaper - maybe - but why risk it? I would absolutely use them again.

I was completely happy with them. The price was the minimum charge they charged which included an hour of labor and an hour of travel time. They were very courteous and careful. They used furniture strap which they put underneath the furniture and then they strapped it around themselves. They took very large entertainment center through the back door around the side and then to the front because of the doorways. They did very well. I was very pleased with their willingness to help and their concern for the furniture. At first I felt the price was high but when they got here they stayed back doing other things which I originally did not intend them to do. They said they would be here at 8:30 a.m. and they were here at 8:30 a.m. The billing was handled very professionally.

The two-man crew was on time, very professional, took great care with my belongings, and worked non-stop until the move was complete. I could not be happier with the service provided. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

Went great and we didn't have to lift a finger.

It went like a dream. Making the appointment was totally no-hassle. They provided an estimate that was right on. The lady I spoke with to make the reservation talked about our needs & provided reasonable suggestions on how much labor/truck power to be expected, but totally did not make the decision for us. She let me make the ultimate decision on what we wanted. When the time came to move, they (actually for us it was four men & two trucks) showed up on time, were very professional & moved everything on time & ahead of schedule, with a great attitude. In fact, during the move they noticed two things broken & immediately brought it up. The first was already broken, the second (side table leg) chipped during transit. They were totally up front about it & took care of it without me having to do much at all. We had two toddlers, we also asked them to move items to specific locations and do assembly, and they were totally willing. Highly recommended with no hesitation.
