"Roto-Rooter Plumbers has been operating successfully in Madison County since 1963. It was the first company in the county to specialize in Sewer & Drain work, then, 30 years ago because of demand and began plumbing services also. We have a client base of over 25,000 repeat customers, both residential and commercial. We receive their unsolicited appreciation in cards and letters, and receive overwhelming positive feedback in our follow up calls. We have never had a customer have a problem to which a satifactory resolution was not made, and everyone happy - even to our detriment. To these customers, and others that may be considering our services, we say only that the facts are, but the truth is. We do not claim to have done everything right. We tried to satisfy the perceived desires of the client, as well as her sister, the tenant. We will not debate the specifics of Ms. [member name removed]'s job in a public forum. We only ask that you read the dissertation, imagine yourself as the service provider, then customer, and make your own assessment of the situation. As a prospective customer, remember, what you read on the internet is not always applicable in the real world. Asking a contractor to perform specifically to knowledge gathered in this manner can create a chain of events very difficult from which to recover. Finally, we would not be much of a company if we did not support our wonderful staff. Although Jack (the plumber) is very much a "fall guy" in this situation, he is an excellent plumber. Jack has a nature of being overly accommodating and trying to do whatever the customer wants. Admittedly, that was the wrong personality for this situation. Jack is knowledgeable, dependable, trustworthy and very much a team player. His skill and experience is respected by the rest of our staff, and he is a "go to" person if they encounter a problem; he is always available for advise. He gets accolades from our customers for service calls he makes for which he charges nothing or greatly reduces the price. He has a heart for people, and is not one to rebuff or refute. We truly regret Ms. [member name removed]'s situation. Everyone contributed to the molehill becoming a mountain. No one is blameless. We are in agreement and understand her statement that she will not use our services again. We can appreciate her decision. However, we ask that you make your own assessment. And if you do decide to use us, we thank you in advance for choosing to use Roto-Rooter Plumbers!"
