** DO NOT USE ** RFCU is dishonest and fraudulent. DO NOT USE THEM. They are crooks. They have a very reputation and are being investigated by fer feds. for their dishonest business practices. Your money is NOT safe. They are going out of business and will take you doen with them with they fail. GET YOUR MONEY OUT AND PUT IT INTO USAA!!

We have used RFCU since 1988 for most of our banking needs. They are good for checking and notary services. They are very very slow at processing vehicle and personal loans and their FICO scores for users are always 50 points less than from the credit reporting services. They have recently become somewhat fee heavy as though their board membership must have had for profit affiliations in the past (not sure, but seems as though they run the financial money end primarily by user fees). They are not your small town credit union if that is what you are wanting. Suggest the NASA Federal Credit Union if you prefer personal first name recognition and service with less fees and no FICO manipulations for personal loans. Overall, RFCU does offer services and locations that are convenient and their online banking services are very good.

The tag line would just have to say very good all service banking.

I switched to them after regions started wanting to charge for debit card transactions. I love the bank. I haven't went to a branch that I did not like. I have used them for savings, checking, and loans. I have been completely satisfied with all.
I will have to say, I tried to use them for my mortgage and it didn't work out. Sarah Hearn was great and tried so hard, but underwriting held her up. I had go with another lender instead. She apologized and worked with me to get all of my information to the new lender.
I love Redstone and will stay with them, but I do not recommend them for mortgages, especially if your on a tight deadline for closing. They are really slow. But as far as banking and loans, I highly recommend.

They have been my bank for over 15 years. I have had multiple checking accounts, a savings account, and a couple loans through them. Their online services are easy to navigate with many options for managing your accounts.
Every time I have personally interacted with them (in any way) they were helpful and quite painless. They even helped us catch a $516 fraudulent charge and refunded the money to our account within 24 hours.

I would highly recommend them for any of your banking needs.

While I have had my account at RFCU for over 25 years, I moved away 11 years ago and closed my checking account only at that time. I am now returning to north Alabama in the near future and wanted to reopen my checking account before I moved back. I e-mailed them via their Secure E-mail service and they responded immediately with the information I needed to reopen the checking account with mail-in forms. I made a mistake and was called as soon as they got the paperwork to clarify the problem and resolve it. The person I spoke to was very helpful and pleasant. I have never had a problem with RFCU in all the years I have done business with them.

The person (I can't remember her name now) who help me open my accounts with them was super nice. She took good care of me, but took a little bit longer than usual because she was making too much small talk. But, she gave a lot of helpful information about this city, so no complaints!

They were recommended by friends and I would tell others that they do me right and they are okay which I think so.

It is a really nice family environment. They do not demand that you have a lot of money, only $5 in your account. They are really there to help you and not make a ton of money off of you. I like that about them. I like also that it is local and here in America. They do not charge me a monthly fee, but I do not have a high interest rate. They are really busy and sometimes you have to wait in the drive through for a while.
