Dave, the workman, arrived at the time scheduled and finished all work in five hours. His workmanship was excellent, with care to details. Moved between jobs to allow sealant or primers to cure before proceeding with successive stages of repair. Carpentry work done on site was exceptional which gave finished work a clear professional edge. He cleaned up the area after work was finished. Initially, I thought the estimate was a little high for the work that was to be done. However, I would rather pay someone well, for an exceptional job. This is our first experience with Angies List, and we were very pleased with our selection.

They came when they said that they were going to arrive and they did what they said that they were going to do. They were on time which was very important. The job was relatively small. They nailed it and it looked like new with no complaints. The job cleanup was not done which was a small thing. Their price was on a higher side.

They were on time, reasonably priced. Project took longer than should because of trying to save time and steps. As a consequence this finish was not as good as it could have been. I did sign off on the project because of the effort to make it right.

After significant water damage to my condo from upstairs pipe burst, ceiling and walls needed repair. We decided to also replace kitchen cabinets. The appointment for an estimate was made quickly. The man who did the estimate was very professional and courteous. The lady who answered phone calls and scheduled the work was very friendly and responsive. The work was done by two men who were both skilled and professional. I had no problem trusting them in my home. Even though my measurements were a bit off when I ordered the cabinets, these guys stepped up and found a way to work it out and make it look good.

I was not even at home when they came. I had put out the can of paint they needed to use. The work looked good to me, and they charged me the amount they had estimated, They even eliminated the rodents - I had put a mousetrap up in the attic, and they had driven a mouse into it.

They installed some light fixtures, refinished our breakfast bar and replaced the outside part of one of our windows that was beginning to rot. It’s a national franchise, and we have a local office here. I like them because they make sure that they do good work. A couple of times we have had to have them back because the work was not quite right, and they were really good about making sure that we were really satisfied and that the job was what we expected it to be. The price is a little bit high but it is probably worth it to get someone to come in who has the equipment and the know-how. They show up when they say they are going to. I would use them again in the future.

They had the high rating in Angie's list but I didn't get a good opinion after working with them. They were very expensive and they took a long time to finish the work. They changed the price from the initial price. The manager came and finished the job but the workers refused to do it.

"Our records indicate that House Doctors did sixteen jobs for the member in the spring/summer of 2006 off of four different estimates. All but 2 tasks were completed for the original quoted price. One task was increased from $50 to $90 because the scope of the work doubled. The other task was reduced from $430 to $190 because the work was less extensive the originally expected. Overall, the price was 6% lower than originally quoted. Nearly four years have passed since the work was completed so nobody has a clear memory of what happened. The work that the member requested was completed for less then the quoted price. House Doctors was committed to completing the work even if it meant the manager had to complete it."

The estimator came when promised. They called a day before to remind me. He was very clear about the solution he proposed, and also had specific suggestions for reducing the water overflow that caused the rotting. The replacement siding was cement composite which cannot rot. The repairer also came when promised (though a little late) and allowed me to watch the work which involved removing and reinstalling the entire window. His demeanor was friendly but professional. The job was completed by about 3pm including one coat of paint (I supplied the paints). It will need a second coat of paint which I will do myself later. All in all I was happy and would definitely use them again for smaller jobs that I don't want to do myself.

We were very satisfied with everything. They had someone who actually did the job give an estimate and he was very professional and knowledgeable. He came two weeks before to perform the estimate. He was very helpful and actually called me back because I forgot to give them a coupon I had. They said the work would take 3 days, but they actually did it in 2.5 days.
