Description of Work: HVAC stopped working with a cold night coming on. Called Conditioned Air Solutions LLC and Todd set me up for a same day appointment. The technician (Greg) arrived a little later then scheduled but was very curteous and professional. He worked for well over an hour isolating the problem and fixing it (burnt out transformer). He also talked me into a one year servicing agreement to avoid further problems and keep the HVAC running clean and efficient. He was not pushy about trying to talk me into the contract........just gave me the details and let me decide. He was very knowlegeable about his profession and stayed well after dark to make sure we had heat for the night. Highly recommend these people for all your heating and air conditioning needs!!

 + -1 moreIt was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good. I had to pay for 3 pounds of freon which was about $300. I have an R22 so the first pound was $258 and subsequent pounds were either $25 or $50. I bought their preventative maintenance package as well.
Description of Work: Conditioned Air Solutions LLC did a tune up of my air conditioning, checked the freon level and told me it was low and it needed a couple of pounds. I have approved him to put a couple of pounds in it.

 + -1 moreCompany arrived on time (called about 20 min. ahead of time to be sure I was home ). Technician had on uniform with his name on it and presented me a business card with his name and photo on it. Very professional, wore shoe covers inside house. Went into attic to check the part of the unit up there. Changed all the inside air return filters which I provided. Showed me areas of the units outside that needed work. Gave estimates for leveling the concrete pad hybrid unit rested on (someone else had installed incorrectly, which allowed condensation to pool away from drain and cause mold). This price of $225 included this Fall inspection of the 2 units and this coming 2014 Spring inspection of the 2 units.

Description of Work: The provider arrived promptly. He asked the "right" questions and was clearly knowledgeable. He investigated the situation which had troubled us for some time without resolution. We live in an old house and there are elements to the problems we were experiencing in which cold air never seemed to make it to our son's bedroom. David took time to understand our home and develop a plan both immediate and long term. He was able to create a much cooler and comfortable environment very quickly. He designed a solution which we will be implementing in the near future. The cost of the service was very minimal and they honored the coupon we received from Angie's List. We were very PLEASED with the results and would highly recommend Conditioned Air Solutions to our friends.

They were prompt and very responsive when I called and talked to them. Their prices were in line. I would definitely recommend them.

 + 0 moreThe technician showed up on time and did a good job. He actually used a plastic tie-wrap to tie down a capillary tube that had broken because of vibration. I thought the price was excessive, but in fairness to the vendor, freon is very expensive.

 + 0 moreNobody likes to spend nearly $10,000 unexpectedly on anything, but when its time for a new heat pump, you really have no choice, not in Alabama anyway. But, since I had to do it, I'm glad I went with Conditioned Air Solutions. They were excellent in every way. They did all the work in two days, as promised, were very careful about keeping things clean in the house, and they even cleaned out my crawl space for me, without being asked. They even removed an old water heater that the previous owners had left. While they were under there, they noticed some pipes and things not related to the duct work that needed to be strapped up and they did so. They added two new vents and moved another without charging extra. Did not ask form payment until I was satisfied with everything. I will not be using any other company for AC service as long as they are around.
Description of Work: Replaced entire HVAC system; heat pump, duct work, thermostat, vent covers, return vent cover.

 + -1 moreConditioned Air Solutions scheduled our appointment for the first available date after receiving the new cooling coils. They called the day before the appointment as a reminder that they were coming and verified the time. The technician was on time and immediately started work. He evacuated the system of coolant, disassembled the cooling coil unit and replaced it with the new unit. He kept me informed during all the steps he was performing and showed me the re-test with the leak detector that everything was in good working order. He installed the programmable thermostat and showed me how to program it for the conditions that I wanted. This started in the morning and was an all day job. He informed me when he took his lunch break and was back to work when he said he would be. He presented me with the bill, which matched the estimate. I paid with a credit card and he sent the receipt to my email account. I could not have asked for better service. Very professional.
Description of Work: The Air Conditioner was not cooling properly and we were getting pieces of plastic from the duct work at some of the ceiling vents. The technician arrived on time, was in the company uniform with his name on it, in a company truck with their logo and name on it. The technician introduced himself, presented me with his business card with his picture on it. I explained the problems we were having and he told me his plan for trouble shooting the problems. I also asked for the thermostat to be upgraded to a programmable one, which he said he kept them on hand in his truck. The technician checked all the duct work throughout the attic and found no leaks, breaks or tears in the flex ducts. He checked the coolant pressure/level and found it to be about half of what it should be. He checked the Air Conditioner cooling coils with a detector and found multiple leaks. He recommened that the coils be replaced. He asked the age of the unit, which was less than 5 years, and he said it should still be under warranty from the manufacturer. He took down all the information concerning the unit including the Serial Number. Conditioned Air Solutions contacted the manufacturer with that information and the manufacturer sent them a new cooling coil unit, which saved me over $500.

 + -1 moreIn June of 2011, Conditioned Air Solutions designed a 3 zone A/C and heating solution for our residence, and installed a 5 ton Carrier 'Infinity' series HVAC. Their price was excellent, and their promptness and professionalism led us to continue using them for planned and emergent maintenance on the system. Unfortunately, in April 2013 we began experiencing problems with the unit (the compressor system began 'icing up'). They responded quickly, but their efforts over the course of three visits (including by the owner of the company, and an expansion of a duct run - at company expense) were unsuccessful in resolving the problem. After consultation with Carrier, they learned that the original single speed Infinity unit was improper for the application (the multiple zone requirement called for the Carrier 'Infinity' control system, but a two-speed compressor unit was required - a detail that the factory failed to communicate to Conditioned Air Solutions at the time of the design effort). Upon realizing the error, Conditioned Air Solutions procured and installed a new two-speed 5 ton Carrier 'Infinity' unit - again, with all labor and material at their expense. To say the least, I am impressed with their professionalism in this matter.
Description of Work: Removed unit installed by them in 2011, and replaced it with a new unit.

 + -1 moreI used an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service. They found the problem but we had other people quote the job to, just to be sure they were on the right track. We ended up going with someone else but I was happy with their service and everything. They came out the same day I called them. The only thing they did not do is measure all of the windows or how much we would need tonnage-wise for the air conditioning. They were prompt, polite and did everything we wanted them to do but they did not take the extra step to make sure that the air conditioner we already had in the house was appropriate for our needs.

 + 1 moreWe returned from vacation at approximately 11:15 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2013. The house was 87 degrees. I called Conditioned Air Solutions, and a representative called me back in about 15 minutes. She scheduled a technician to come on Sunday morning. At 8:15 AM on Sunday morning, the technician, Bryan, arrived. Bryan was professional and courteous. It took him about 10 minutes to diagnose my problem -- a faulty capacitor. Bryan took time to describe for me the function of the capacitor, the HVAC in general, and ways the capacitor could malfunction. He went into great detail. Bryan also provided detailed tips for maintaining my HVAC unit and cleaned the grill for me. I was very pleased with the promptness, level of service, and knowledge. Great experience.

 + -1 moreIt was fine, they were good but we decided to go with a different company. They came and they were very professional and told us what the problem was. We had a second opinion because we had lots of problems with our system so we had a second company come so we could get a second opinion. It's the same problem, just a different way of fixing it so the company that first came out did the diagnostic test, it was a lot more expensive in a different way of fixing it I guess. They were very good. Their prices are comparable to any of the other estimates we had, with the fix they were recommending, that particular fix was comparable to any other company. They told us what the problem was and that was the problem. I don't remember them being late and they're very professional. We really like the other company we went with so we would probably go with the other company, we probably wouldn't call them back.

 + -1 moreThe installation went very well. They only replaced one system at a time since it was very hot during the replacement. The install team was very courteous and professional. I was explained in detail everything that was being done. The installation team took the time to make sure that everything was done to my satisfaction. I took the time to review this company because I wanted to give the system time to work through a summer and winter season to see how the system performed. It worked flawlessly with no issues.
Description of Work: I had the upstairs and downstairs system replaced. I also added a whole home filtration system. This also included installing a new reurn system since the orignal was too small in the first place. I upgraded to a variable speed unit for energy efficiency. I also use them for my yearly maintenace service.
