About us

We are a family business (father, son, and daughter) who have faced and overcome our own health challenges related to hidden mold in our home. We decided as a family that we are going to turn our struggles into something positive and help other families avoid the pain and costs we experienced. Now with over 20 years of experience in the field, including the development of 3 wellness-related books and 5 contractor related training programs, we continue to grow our services so we can help more families. Especially, those families that are vulnerable to molds, like the elderly, children with allergies and breathing issues, and those with compromised immune systems. I hired Thomas Clay and his crew to remove mold all throughout our basement. Their quote was incredibly detailed, and they spent time explaining everything thoroughly to me and my father. They even brought more crew to do the job in less time than was quoted so that we didn t have to be without air when it was quite hot out. They cleaned all the mold from our basement and gave us tips for preventing further mold growth. You can tell Thomas and his son care a lot about what they do. They re very honest and genuine people, and I d definitely hire them again.

Customer service is top priority with this company. The crew is very thorough and eliminated the mold in the basement. There was also mold in the house. They cleaned out the air ducts, the furnace, and all surfaces in the house to eliminate the mold problem. They went out of their way to schedule a time that would work best for me. Then we did a followup walk through to address any lingering concerns or questions. I am very happy with the work they did and the cost. Other companies wanted the same or more but didn't want to do anything about the air ducts and furnace. I highly recommend Smart Healthy Homes.

The Staff that came to my mother's home were very professional and respectful. They scheduled a time that worked with the schedule of the household. My mother is 92 and the concern they showed for her health impressed the family. They explained what they had found, what they were doing to correct the situation and what we needed to do to keep the mold from returning. The following week after treatment the business owner followed up to see if we had any questions concerning the work that was performed. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a professional, knowledgeable and respectful Staff.

A home inspection indicated mildew in a master bedroom of a home for sale. Thomas was very thorough in his inspection. He checked both this room and the basement not finding moisture. With further testing he was able to discover what looked like mold/mildew was in fact discolored varnish on the baseboards saving much expense for the seller.

They did an excellent job from the attic to the basement. I'd recommend them to anyone. They wanted to make sure they got all the mold and did. We appreciate what they did and I never worried about them being in our house when we weren't there. We're very satisfied.
