I had extensive mold in a vacation rental condo after a storm and the unit received a lot of moisture along with a number of other units in the building. I contacted three mold remediation companies and selected Smart Healthy Homes of Gulf Coast, LLC for the mold removal. The owner came out and rather than spending a lot of time trying to sell me on his services, he made an extensive survey of the approximately 1000 Sq ft 2-bedroom 2 bath unit. He took a number of pictures and then sent me a detailed report explaining the process and actions his company takes. His 20 plus years in this business made it an easy decision to make. I was in the unit during part of remediation and saw that the personnel performing the work were very professional and courteous.

Mr. Clay and his crew are very knowledgeable and efficient. Remediating the extensive mold and repairing the ceiling and wall damage from a hailstorm-damaged roof was a daunting task, but it was nonetheless completed to our satisfaction. Given the quality of the work, we elected to add an additional job for our detached guest quarters, which was likewise performed quite well. I endorse Smart Healthy Homes without reservation.

Thomas at Smart Healthy Homes was prompt in answering my call, making an inspection of my mold problem, and explaining the work required to remedy it. He was very thorough in his inspection and showed me with pictures throughout the process of working on my home. Jon’s crew did a great job. Very professional and did good job cleaning up and keeping us up to date on what was going on. Took care of the mold problem. Installed a roof fan for bathroom and gave good advice on how to keep air flowing in the area.

A month ago I had a smelly, mold - ridden, sickly, and frankly embarrassingly disgusting turn of the century home. I now have a clean, fresh smelling, non - moldy and inviting house! This is due to the unbelievable and fantastic work on my garage, basement, HVAC, attic and bathroom thanks to Jon, Levi and the rest of the crew at Smart Healthy Homes. From the first meeting with Jon until the end of the project, I was always impressed with his sincerity, character and overall knowledge of the process of removing the mold from my home. He was able to make me feel at ease with every step of the project and answer all questions I had along the way. The fact that he was in constant communication with me was not only a comfort, but it also allowed me to know what step in the process his team was encountering at that moment. Not only would I highly recommend Smart Healthy Homes to everyone, but I am also keeping their number in my favorites list for future projects because they are able to provide remodeling services which is invaluable for old home owners! Today I feel better, sleep better, and don't smell strange things. This was hands down THE BEST experience we have ever had with a company. If you need any restoration work for your home, look no further. We had a horrendous black mold infestation in our basement that was taking over the drywall on our walls, ceilings, and even destroying our cabinet under our kitchen sink. After reading the amazing reviews for Smart Healthy Homes, we called them to schedule an estimate. I was impressed that someone was able to meet me the next business day to perform the inspection. John Clay met me at my house and was able to inspect the areas of concern. Right away I could tell the John was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his work. He took the time to explain in detail his plans for removing the current mold, as well as how he planned on preventing the spread of the mold in the future. John prepared a very detailed estimate for us the next day. This estimate broke down his plans step by step, the cost associated for the repairs, and was very easy to understand. He was able to get me on his schedule in a timely manner and was able to complete the removal in the original time that he quoted. During my final inspection with John, not only did he review with me the repairs that they performed, he went over some things that he noticed to help us avoid any future repairs. He gave me advice as if it was his own home. He truly went above and beyond. Bottom line is that John Clay and his team at Smart Healthy Homes are very professional, reasonably priced, care about their customerâ s satisfaction and well-being, and are as honest as they come. I was very pleased with this company! From the time Thomas came in to give me the estimate and the two men who came in to do the work. I had mold in my attic. Not only did they remove the mold, they also pin pointed where it was coming from and fixed the problem. Very professional, friendly and polite. They did excellent work and cleaned up all their mess before they left. I don't think you will be disappointed if you contract with this company. I would definitely use them again.
