"If you read (Member Name)’s Description of Work you will find that HE contracted a roofer off of Craigslist. He did not check his credentials, licenses, or references as his intentions was to hire someone for the cheapest price as possible. Our company does have two roofers that are licensed and insured and do not required their money up front. We are a license and insured company and are not willing to supervise any unlicensed, uninsured contractor that competes without proper credentials. Nor were we asked to supervise this individual, (Member Name) got himself into this mess and the predictable happened. I will supply some attachments with this explanation. As a matter of fact, (Member Name) put my company at risk for a liability lawsuit by asking us to JUST WRITE CHECKS to the contractor. (Member Name) even bailed his “contractor” out of JAIL to get him to do the work. We have never used this contractor before and would not use him again without proper credentials. Furthermore, (Member Name) has contacted the current tenant and told them to not pay their rent at our property management company. We have a legal and binding contract with these individuals and (Member Name) has interfered with this contracting putting them in danger of being taken to court. Torturous interference with a legal contract puts (Member Name) at risk of being taken to court also. (Member Name) came to my office after this individual allegedly cost him money. He was not only given the entire file to copy (at my expense) but was given an office to work in, now he files a complaint with Angie’s List? I find it interesting that (Member Name) admits to using Craigslist to find his “contractor” but uses Angie’s List to try to blame my company for his stupidity. I suggest that if (Member Name) had used Angie’s List to find his vendors that he might not have allegedly lost money. Sincerely, Walt Wyatt"
