Great! shower was a simple fix. Whirlpool tub a little more involved. They had to track down a part and order it from Jacuzzi. Actually had to cut and remove an elbow joint that went through the side wall of the tub and connected to the circulating line. Everything worked out great and the whirlpool tub is back in use. This was all accomplished after another plumber had attempted to get the tub part over a period of several months. That company never got back in touch with me. That's when we contacted Jackson Gas and Electric.

I called with some electric concerns. The woman on the phone said she would have someone call me in a week. OK, I can live with that. A week comes and goes and no phone call. So, I call again. He'll be here in the afternoon, I'll have him call. Didn't happen. I call the next day and ask, what gives? Then she bothers to tell me that they are over loaded with work. Why I wasn't told that for two weeks I will never understand. I called someone else.

My husband and I were in need of a new central heat and air unit as ours had bit the dust . We called Jackson Gas and Electric for an estimate . They came out and looked over the situation estimated approximate size unit we would need offering detailed explanations and differences of available units for our size house. I had done some research about the different units and knew that they had been forthright and honest with their answers to the various questions asked about the units. They were prompt in getting back to me with a price. We agreed upon a price and scheduled a time for installation. The installation date was 4/15/2013 for 8:00 AM. Two installers arrived promptly and immediately began work and worked diligently until approximately 3:00 PM. The installers were careful and respectful of property. Their efficiency and knowledge of their product was commensurate with their years of experience. My husband and I were very pleased with the end result and have had no problems with our new unit since installation. We would definitely recommend this company to friends and family and have in fact already recommended them to a friend that is also in need of a new unit.
Description of Work
I have no complaint with this company. They arrived promptly on the day of installation and immediately started to work installing a new central air and heat Helio heat pump. They were diligent and efficient in their work taking care to be respectful of property. The men were very knowledgable about the unit and their years of experience were well represented.

I called to request service and had already purchased items to be installed. They responded within 1-2 days and completed the work within a couple of hours. Ours is an older house and things don't always go as planned since things tend to break or not fit like they should.

It went very well overall because they made my mother feel at ease about the task they were there to perform. They even got my mother to calm her nerves by just being friendly and courteous.
Description of Work
We had a storm blow our service pole down and Alabama Power wanted an licensed electrician to hook the breaker box back up to the wire coming from the main pole. Then the electrician connected the power back to the house. They were at the house a long time before the Alabama Power man arrived, so they cleaned up some of the storm damage while they waited. They were very professional and courteous throughout the whole process.

He spent about 45 min checking stuff. He gave me his cell phone number and told me to call him when it shut down so he came right out when I called him. He found that it was an electrical problem and replaced the part. He wasn't trying to rip me off. Other companies wanted to take out the system and put another in.

They are extremely dependable. We are very, very pleased with their work. We have never had a problem with them at all. We have used them a lot for the past few years. I would rate them highly. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

Her response was that she was leaving the messages on Mr. Bobby Jackson's desk and she couldn't do anything about it if he didn't call back. She said perhaps I should get another company to help me. MY COMMENTS ON THIS EXPERIENCE: Mr. Jackson did a good job when he arrived and the charge was reasonable. BUT, the fact that the receptionist and company made NO EFFORT WHATSOEVER to contact me as to the status of finishing the job, even to say they could not do the job, indicates there's a HUGE customer service problem, unless I was singled out for NON-RESPONSE. I felt that the receptionist was the obstacle. I don't know if the man was too busy, or if the receptionist did not let him know I called. In any case, NON-RESPONSE is NOT the way to treat customers, and I would be embarrassed to have that kind of track record. As of 12-05-09, the installations have been completed and resolved by Mr. Jackson. He has not billed me for the 2nd trip. I don’t know if my comments on here are the reason that he called back or not. I would use them again, but it's just the getting a response from them that is difficult.
Description of Work
I called the company needing installation of 2 propane space heaters and repair of a propane stove. The receptionist said the repairman was busy but would call back and discuss an installation date. Four or five days passed and I called again. This time the repairman, Mr. Bobby Jackson, did call back and we set up an appt for the following afternoon. Mr. Jackson fixed my propane stove settings and installed a new one I'd bought for the house next door. He spent some time on the propane connection for the space heater, but we decided to wait until I could get a piece of hardi-board for the floor and wall prior to installation to prevent fires, so we agreed he would come back a few days later to finish the installation. We did not name a date. He was working on another project elsewhere and I said I could wait a few days, but wanted to get the heater installed before we had cold weather, because that was the only source of heat for my brother's house and he has children. Mr. Jackson's work and professionalism was outstanding, and the cost was reasonable. The problem was that I couldn't get anyone from that company to call me back after that to finish the installation, although I called at least 4 times over a period of 2 weeks and was told they would leave him a message. Finally, on my last call, I asked to speak with the manager. The same lady who is the only receptionist said SHE was the manager.
