"Hey [Member Name Removed], I am truly sorry to hear about your negative experience with us. I remember speaking with you initially and thought it went quite well. Your home was a little out of our normal service area but I know you had an issue with another plumbing company that was unable to discover a problem so we wanted to try our best to help you out. We had someone out the following day to look at the issue. During that time we were experiencing an unusual amount of rain across the state and the issue you reported to us was a leak in the basement along the wall. Due to the heavy amounts of rain, we were unable to find an active leak and we determined that the water intrusion was due to rain water entering the basement from outside. We did not charge you anything for our visit and our technician told me that he mentioned to you we could come back with our leak locating equipment but we never heard back. I apologize for the misunderstanding but we do not like to run up a bill on our customers when we are not comfortable with the potential issues reported. We just felt like the water was due to the heavy amounts of rain. I hope that our explanation can help resolve any negative feelings about our company. "Mr. [Member Name Removed], It is very disappointing that you have chosen to inaccurately describe your experience with us by trying to damage our business as well as Angie’s List’s credibility, with a review like this. We did not charge you an emergency fee. We spoke with you on Saturday and gave you the rates for emergency services and you chose to wait until Monday to have the work done. We came out Monday, we charged you the price you agreed to over the phone, you paid it in full, and then a full 24 hours later, you called to complain with the cost. I asked you what we could do to resolve your grievance, you told me a $100 gift certificate would suffice. I agreed to the certificate and the day I was mailing it to you, you then called back and began complaining again. You said you wanted a refund this time and acted as though you never asked for a gift certificate. Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide you with anymore services. We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and as you can see from all our 5 star reviews, plenty of other customers would say the same thing. Sometimes you can’t please everyone, even tho we tried our best to resolve your complaint."
