I called tech support due to an unusually large number of emails showing up in my Inbox that were not even addressed to me. The tech wanted to take control of my computer to fix the problem. I told her the problem was not my computer. The problem was AT&T mail server. She took control of my computer and made several changes that caused the computer to freeze. Then she said, "Your computer is too old for me to help you," and hung up.
Description of Work: I have been a subscriber to DSL Extreme 6 MBs for 10 years. The company is no longer called BellSouth as AT&T purchased them. The speed has slowed to less than 4 MBs. Technicians are not trained. One told me to delete my registry and reboot my computer. Tech personnel ask to take over your computer to repair it. DO NOT LET them do this. They make changes that cause you to have to restore your whole system. And they locked me out of my home page and mail.
