He showed up on time was nice and professional. He cleaned the chimney and showed me a bag full of pine needles and trash that was stuck in the top and probably would have started a fire! He also told me there was no cap on the chimney. He quoted me a price of $100 but since it was just before a holiday, I told him I'd call in a week or so. I checked online and chimney caps are around $50, so another 50 for him to get on the roof and install seemed good. And he didn't charge me additional to come out a 2nd time. I called about a week later and he said he was very busy but would call me when he was nearby or make an appointment farther out. I opted for having him call. 2 days later he called, showed up half hour later, put the cap on in about half an hour. Great service and good rates

Also at that time, we discussed which chimney cap to order. When no one called or came, I called again (late May), and was told the work could be done in mid to late June. This would have been approximately 3 months from my original bid and at least 2 months from the original estimated date of completion. When I complained about the company's timeliness, I was told I didn't understand how weather affected the business, that there were some problems with a truck, and that I could go to the Yellow Pages and find someone else

We are a medium based subcontracting business of approximately 20 employees specializing in sales/installations of fireplaces, garage doors and automatic entry systems.
"Joel came out as promised, installed and vented out the fireplace in less than a day. Unfortunately my wife was not there at the time. When she saw where the fireplace was positioned, she was upset. She had told myself and Joel that she wanted it up off the floor, (more centered in the wall), and we thought that meant approximately 1 foot. Not so. She wanted it higher, more a focal point for the room. Joel had to come back to install a lever, and I asked him if he would raise the fireplace another six inches. He wasn't real happy to go through all that work again but said he would and only charged an additional $250.00. My wife was very pleased with the positioning. Joel Walker was prompt, and really went out of his way to accommodate us. The fireplace is a beautiful product.
