Thoroughly professional services; team is punctual and friendly. Explained reasons why certain features may not be right for our yard and proposed alternatives. Workmanship is excellent. It was/is a joy to interact with Mr. Serna and his team - we will be asking for their services again should the need arise. It is VERY difficult to find trustworthy services in this category in El Paso; I am still amazed that Landscape & Concrete Impressions was/is as professional as the experience has turned out

The first time the sales guy, Freddy, was supposed to come by and give us a quote he was a no call no show. He said that he got busy helping the installers on another job and forgot about us. He came by twice after that and arrived on time both times. He took time showing us fabric samples from Sunbrella and one other company. He was only one day late getting us a quote, which is good for this town. We only got one other quote, but ACS was slightly lower and seemed to want our business more than the other company. We signed a contract and paid half up front. The next morning Freddy called to ask if the installers could come by that day and remove the old awning. The guys were nice and polite. We were told that since it was just a recover job we would have the new canopy in one week, maybe two. They said it was usually three weeks for a completely new canopy. When it had been 19 days without any word we called Freddy and left a message. He never called back, but that afternoon we got a call that the installers were sitting outside our house. The new canopy looked great from the outside but we had two complaints about the view from inside the house. They put a big patch with their name and phone number smack in the middle of the canopy so that every time we look out the window we see their patch instead of the view. We complained and the installers were good natured about it. We loaned them a seam ripper and they removed it right then. Even they agreed that the patch should have been put on the side. The only other complaint is that the frame is aluminum and the rivets on the shade are brass. It bothers me that they didn't match the rivets to the frame but it doesn't bother my husband and I am hoping that as the brass tarnishes a little it won't be as noticeable. Overall, the customer service was very mixed; either very good or pretty bad. The awning itself looks great from the outside and okay from the inside. I would probably use them again since there is not a lot of competition in this field in El Paso, their price was competitive from what we saw, and even at 19 days the turnaround time was pretty good. I had a lot of problems with them. I contracted them to do a 20x15 foot canopy. They cut the posts the opposite way, so it did not fit. They had to re-cut the posts to make it fit the canopy. Then they had to cut the canopy to make that fit, and it was too short because they cut the posts too much. They came back with the canopy and put a patch in the middle, I did not wanted it patched, I wanted the canopy brand new as it should have been. After another week they brought a new canopy. The posts are also kind of crooked, but they said they could not do anything because they are under three feet of cement

"We just completed installing a motorized retractable awning from [*** Link removed ***] and are super pleased with the quality of the build, appearance and customer support.? This Italian-designed, engineered and manufactured awning is assembled and shipped from RetractableAwnings.com Florida plant, so if you need assistance with the install, you should contact a local handyman, carpenter or contractor.? Ours is a Palermo Plus, 16 ft. wide, with an 11 ft.-10 in. projection.? The Internet salesperson, Eric Scop, V.P., really worked with us to understand all the options and get fabric swatches.? We ultimately selected a combination Rain/Sun sensor and Vibration sensor to automatically retract the awning in case of heavy rain or excessive wind.? I spoke with Rocky, their installation expert, for advice on preparing the ledger board to attach the awning to our vinyl sided home, right below the soffit.? His advice was instrumental in making the install go so well.? Further, the awning arrived already programmed to the Soliris transmitter and the motor limit switches were also set.? It shipped in a fiberboard box (this one was about 17 ft long and 1 ft x 1 ft square, weighing over 200 lbs.), which was extremely tough.? The truck driver ignored the box orientation stickers and used a hand truck to move it from the center, rather than two hand trucks, one at each end, per the clear placarding on the box.? Despite this, it arrived in great shape, other than a couple minor paint scratches, which we will fix with touchup paint they are sending at no charge.? While the enclosed wall brackets were different from those described in the installation manual (an improved design), installing them was no problem. An extra bracket was included, which we also installed as this will be a large ?sail? on the side of the house and we want it to stay there. "Torres Construction LLC was referred by a neighbor here in Port St. Joe Beach, Fl. After contacting Mr. Torres a meeting time was set for the following day. Mr. Torres arrived promptly, he was courteous and he came prepared to discuss the outdoor patio shower. First, he listened to our ideas and answered our questions regarding the design and materials available. He then showed pictures of outside showers he had constructed in our area and guided us on the preferred materials for a beach area. After deciding the type shower we liked, he then prepared a quite reasonable and acceptable estimate. Surprisingly, he was prepared to begin the project the next day. The quality and craftsmanship in the finished shower were excellent. In fact, his company will now begin on our kitchen renovation and interior painting projects. "Patrick did the estimate and he was very friendly, very helpful and intelligent. We received 4-5 bids and Patrick was the only one that listened to what we wanted and had good suggestions. He took measurements and drew a diagram of what the finished product would look like. The price seemed reasonable but our decision to hire them was based heavily on the work that Patrick did. The day the work started we were impressed by how quickly the work was getting done. Everything seemed prefect until my wife and I had a couple conversations with Chris (the owner) that raised a few red flags. Chris complained to my wife and then later to me about how the job was under bid. He said he was using more material than was quoted and he also mentioned that he had to do some work that was not included in the bid. Almost every conversation we had after that included a reference to him losing money. It turned out that Chris actually put rock in a section of the yard that was not on the bid or contract. It probably was best for the area to be covered with rock, but he should have talked to us before doing it. We could have even adjusted the contract and paid for it so we could have avoided all the abrasive conversations that resulted from it. There was a large area in the front of the yard that was supposed to be rocked that he missed and when I contacted him about it, he threatened that if he came out and measured everything they did we would end up owing him money. I told him to come out, by all means and lets get it straightened out. He then sent me a text to let me know that Patrick was going to come out and work things out with me. I could not believe that Chris could be in business for very long with the attitude that he had taken toward me when I had done nothing wrong, so I asked Patrick why Chris was so hostile toward me. Patrick indicated that it was a personal problem that unfortunately got transferred over into our professional agreement. Patrick was very understanding toward us and toward Chris and he said he would make everything right. He finished filling in the rock that was missing along with one other thing that was missed. The job overall was done very well. The quality was above average. I think if Chris had been able to visit the job site prior to beginning work and before signing the final contract the errors and abrasive conversations would have been averted. I would recommend having this company bid your job but I would be cautious to make sure the job is clearly understood before beginning work.
