Beyond happy with the experience I had with them! Midsummer AC went out, called them and they came out that night to see what happened. Our AC unit was 40 yrs old and we knew we were on borrowed time, so they did a quick fix and we replaced the unit that following week. Having some plumbing issues and they are coming out tomorrow.

Called VAR on Monday, March 31 for maintenace and for repair of excessive vibrations from the fan in the 2010 Amana Dual-pack on the roof. Scheduled appointment for Tuesday, April 1. Technician verified the request was for routine maintenance and for excessive vibrations. Opened the gate to the back yard to the access to the unit on my tile roof. Technician brought his ladder in and asked for a hose. He used my hose for cleaning during the maintenance. When finished, technician said a pulley needed replacement and he would order it and VAR would call when received.
Received a call the next day Wednesday, April 2 from VAR that the part would arrived tomorrow on April 3 and they would call me to schedule an appointment. Waited until Monday, April 7 then I called VAR to ask about the status of the part. VAR called back in the afternoon to say the part was in and scheduled an appointment for 9-12 for the next day.
Technician arrived at 10:45 am, Tuesday and did the repairs. The excessive vibrations were gone from the Dual-pack. Gave the technician a check for $89 for the maintenance service. The parts and repair were covered under the manufacturer's extended service agreement.

The installation was done smack in the middle of the hottest part of the year. Valley Air Conditioning and Repair provided this portable Air Conditioning Unit, you have to vent it through a window. They are not meant to cool a really large area, so unless I was standing in front of it, I can't say that it was a tremendous amount of help. That is not their fault, though! They quoted me a price, and overall I was pleased. There were a couple of little things that irritated me and I had to call them back. They installed new duct work, and you cannot avoid 100% some insulation getting in those ducts. I had quite a bit of insulation and it was coming out in to my kitchen, my bathroom - I was a little unhappy with that that I had this little bit of a mess. The first time I went to use my heat I didn't have any! They forgot to turn the gas on to it. They came out the same day I called and took care of it. It is the little things, but you go "How the hell did they forget to turn the gas on???" That is just a little thing, but overall it worked. I have a part of my house that was really bad before I got the new system - in fact, it is still the warmest part of my house. It is never going to be as cool as, say, my living room. That's the way it is. When I was selecting the company, they weren't the lowest price, but the warranty of the equipment was good. They gave me the option of three years at no interest to pay the costs. You can't beat that! I set it up for online banking and I didn't have to put that money out of pocket up front. So their financing option would get an A if it was graded. Their responsiveness to a problem was great. I had a leak in my utility room the first time I used the heat. I think someone stepped on the condensation line and disconnected it. They were straight out - it took them a little while to find where it was leaking, but they did take care of it. They weren't so great at responding to telephoned questions. They were here when they said they would be.

We live in a house with a crawl space under the house that is used as a plenum for our heating and air conditioning. Not the cleanest way to heat/cool a house, not to mention the layers of dust it generated. Several companies came out, looked over the situation and made suggestions about how to improve things. Valley A/C came out and, after checking out the system from attic to crawl space, presented us with the best, most economical solution. Within two days from the time we signed the contract our whole ac/heating system had been mapped out and the crew began work. Using our existing unit, they reversed the system to use the floor vents as the intake and the duct the ceiling to be used as outlets and make adjustments in several other areas. From the time these guys showed up until the end of the day they never stopped working. They knew exactly what they were doing, and went about it with minimum fuss and noise. They were friendly and always let us know what they were doing and what to expect. The second day was more of the same hard work and efficiency. We now have a and quot;newand quot; ac/heating system and couldn't be happier. I would totally recommend Valley Air Conditioning and Repair and would absolutely use them again in the future. Great work, guys!!

My heater broke down on a cold Saturday evening. I had to quickly find a company that worked on the weekend. I saw this company on Angie's List and decided to call them.
I called and got the answering service at 8 PM and the tech in the field called me back at 8:30 PM. He was pleasant to talk to and sounded knowledgable about heaters. He said he was now booked for the evening but could come out Sunday morning between 9 AM and 10 AM. He explained that their weekend rate to come and diagnose the problem was $89. I should say I had also called and quot;Vern'sand quot; and was told they would charge $120 to come out-- aside from the higher price, I was also not impressed with the tech I spoke with. I'm glad I called Valley Air!
The next morning at 9:30 the Valley Air tech arrived and explained a part needed replacing. Luckily he had the part with him so he was able to fix it right away. The above price is the total--which includes the $89 diagnostic fee and then the cost of the part replacement. I was pleased with the tech's professionalism, knowledge, and willingness to explain everything he was doing.
I should say I normally use another company for my heater/AC, but they don't work after hours or on weekends. So I feel quite lucky I discovered Valley Air for and quot;emergencyand quot; service. And, If you are like me desperately trying to find a company that works on the weekend, I hope this review helps you.

They've been around for fifty years and they are reputable. They did a good job and everything went well. The price was very fair. They've also done air conditioning installation in my office and they were very good. That's their specialty and plumbing is in sideline.

They allowed me to make payments which they don't normally do. So that was good. I thought that they were a little bit pricey but I don't really know how their price is compared to others. The unit works fine. They also worked on a mini split system for me. The guy was honest with me. He put in a booster on it and said that it was getting tired and worn out. Though he said that the booster will help but he couldn't guarantee if it will last for a few months or few years.

I would give them high marks. They have been fantastic. The work was all done under warranty because the problem started when the unit was initially installed. I haven't paid a penny. They have been out multiple times. They have been so attentive and responsive to the problem. They have been really good. Their service calls are about the same price as anywhere else.

House wasn't cooling down at all. Mark came and found my AC unit was basically empty of refrigerant. He had to come back a couple of days later to leak check the system and then re-filled the unit. The leak turned out to be a faulty valve stem where the refrigerant gets checked/filled. This was a home warranty call so I just had to pay the insurance service call fee of 60 bucks. Very professional staff from the person answering the phone to schedule and the technician was very friendly, courteous and he walked me through every step of the process as he was testing and isolating the source of the leak. Would recommend this company.

We've been happy with everything they do. The workers are professional and do their work and leave. We've used them for many projects in the past and have always been pleased.
