We called for some one to come check the unit they didn't show up till 3:00 next day i ask before how much the service call was they gave me a price they were supposed to have showed up that mourning but at 3:00 he finally arrived took about 30 minutes to check out the unit and it ends up being a bad thermostat so we ask how much that would cost us to fix he said. $300.00 i said why so much he said because he only had the more expensive thermostat left on his truck he already used all the cheaper ones today. after telling us they would be there that mourning so i ask how much is the cheaper ones $ 30.00 to 40.00 dollars so i told him i would just pay the $67.00 service charge and i would go to home depot buy it fix it my self but they charged me $ 67.00 service call and $90.00 diagnostic charge so they charged me $167.00 to do no work didn't fix anything. I called there office to ask why told me couldn't tell me why till they got the tickets in for the day would call me back the next day when i called them they just said that s the way we charge but i had other people call that day ask what they charged gave different price each time but called other companies they said they don't charge but sevice call unless they do any work and then they take off service charge just bill for work done.so they lied to me about price. And this wasn't after hours.regular day time call but now i know i want ever call them again for nothing i tried to get some of my money back but they refused. But i went to home depot bought 30.00 thermostat fixed it my self hope everyone has better luck with this crooked company than i did ..i didn't mind paying for service call but not to diagnose fee no body charges for that i called 5 different companies..sad what some people will do just to make few dollars they would have made more on my repeat business.....AlAbama. CLIMATE..CONTROL..I've told as many people as i could about company..

We had used them on all three house and they had been wonderful. He is the only one who has serviced us. I know the price was reasonable and I wouldn’t object it. They are excellent.

My daughter needed a new a/c unit in her home and asked for me to look on Angie's List for her - for a company that provided Trane units.  Alabama Climate Control is a certified Trane dealer - and when she contacted them (after receiving price quote from non-certified Trane dealers) she was impressed with the honesty of the staff, along with their pricing.  My husband was at her house for much of the work that was done, and found the workers to be very punctual and informative in what they were doing.

Nightmare for 15 years. My bills doubled immediately. Found out the system was too small as was the new duct work. Left a hole in the back wall of my house that a fist could fit through. Charged me to come out and verify the system was dead when they had charged me to "fix" it a few days before. They didn't notice a leak. I could write a book on bad experiences with this company. They were called to come out, on average, 5-6 times a year to do warranty work. They now claim I never called them to come out. Same guy came out until the last few visits. Makes you wonder who got the money from the warranty.

They did a good job and I did not have to call them back.  Their estimator was courteous, helpful and easy to talk to.  Their installers were courteous, helpful and easy and good to work with when a question or two came up with regards to matching what was there and so forth.  So, I would give their installers good marks for that.  Their pricing was considerably better than that of their competitors.  The $8000 that I paid would have been a lot of money if it was a 2 ½ ton system, but the one I got installed is a pretty big one.

I have used Alabama Climate Control for all my AC needs for the past three years. In fact, they are the contract AC representative used by my home warranty policy that I have kept in effect for 6 yrs, just for cases that always seem to come up with my AC unit. They have always been responsive to my initial calls for service (with 24hrs) and have diagnosed the problem within one visit as well as having the needed parts on their service vehicle. Always professional, highly recommend.

We have a contract with them. We have paid only one flat fee and no matter what goes wrong they will come and fix it. They are responsive and courteous. They call before they come out and do a good job.

I called them about 3:45 this afternoon (on a Friday) and told them about my thermostat problems; there was someone at my door about 10 minutes later!  He was pleasant and professional.  The thermostat I chose cost $135, and they charged $67.50 for the service call.  I have used this company before, when I had a leak in the A/C.  That time I called late Friday evening.  They apologized profusely for not being able to get out till Monday.  Again, the worker was pleasant and professional and the cost was reasonable.

We had this company come and service/inspect our heat pumps.  They are also the company that installed them seven years ago.  The service man informed us that a drip pan and sensor that is included on installation wasn't there.  The pan and sensor is a safeguard in case the drainage is stopped up and overflows, and the sensor cuts the unit off.  We were told we'd be contacted when the pan and sensor came in so they could install them.  We still haven't heard back from them on that matter (two weeks later).  Also, almost two weeks after they came to service our units, the downstairs unit stopped cooling.  It had been fine for seven years, then stopped only after being serviced.  It could be a fluke, but it's a bit fishy for me.  They arrived today to have a look, and said the compressor is kaput.  Luckily it's still under warranty, but labor will be $450.  Frankly, I'm afraid of what detail may be overlooked upon installation of the new compressor.  Fingers crossed.  If I had it to do over I'd go with another company in the first place.  I hope ours is a simple case of bad coincidences (a string of 'em), and that no one else has to deal with these types of problems with this company.

They made a mistake with the Freon and all of it leaked out, but they replaced it. They were honest and corrected their mistake. I would use them again in the future.

They were very prompt in returning phone calls regarding their quotes and installation. They were very responsive. I have not had any problem since they installed the system. They did their work exactly when they said they would do it.

I performed a competitive proposal between; All American Comfort Consultants, Alabama Climate Control, Conditioned Air Solutions, Garrison & Garrison, One Hour Heating & Air. I saved $700 over the nearest competitor by request bids from multiple vendors. Dennis Veal was the sales representative; very personable and efficient. He was professional and responsive. He performed a load analysis, recommended 3 solutions in various price ranges and did not try to up sell. Alabama Climate Control provided superior system and cost. The installation team was very clean, respectful and efficient. I would recommend them again. I gave them a "B" in professionalism only because they did not have clean crisp uniforms. Clearly it doesn't make a difference in quality. Clean crisp uniforms only make a difference for appearance sake, but other companies do.

They put down plastic on my floor to protect it. They had to get the old unit out of the attic down folding stairs, and get the new unit up the same way. In getting the new unit up they broke the folding stairs. Neither Lowe's nor Home Depot had the right size stairs, so they said they'd order the right size. They finished the job, picked up the plastic, vacuumed, etc. The very next day they showed up with the stairs in a box. I had left town and my husband was one his way to work. They said that the installation of the stairs might mess up our trim, and we were having company for Christmas. My husband asked them to put the stairs in the garage and come back after the holidays. They were very polite. After Christmas I called to set up an appointment for them to come install the stairs. They came the first day they could get out here after the 'big snow' and installed the stairs. They did not mess up the trim. Once again they put down plastic on my floor to protect it, and vacuumed after the job was done. It was impressed.
