Description of Work: They trimmed a large Oak Tree next to our house. It looks great. They cleaned up all the debris and used a chipper to grind it all up.

Description of Work: I had a concern over a larger tree with some internal decay. Hoppe came out and took a look at it (on time). They said the issue was common and that although eventually it would need to come down it still had some years left. Also the ball park figure they threw out there for removal and stump grinding was a few hundred less than another place had given me. I will definitely call them back when that time comes.

Description of Work: Treated my ash for Emerald Ash Boarer.

Description of Work: We have a 40 year old green ash tree in the far back corner of our 1/4 acre lot. It provides about 80 % of the shade in our back yard. We contacted Hoppe to have them come out and give us their assesment of the tree's overall condition and to discuss the potential application of the treatment to prevent Emerald Ash Borer. Fred Hoppe arrived on Friday, within 15 minutes of our scheduled appointment (He left a message saying he was running a few minutes late) and toured the entire yard making suggestions on several large trees condition and possible needs. We agreed on quite a few items, including the pruning of the Ash tree (to relive stress) and the treatment of the emerald ash Borer, the removal of a diseased Magnolia Tree, and some additional pruning on two very large evergreens. Fred e-mailed to me on Friday, his proposals (3 different ones). On Tuesday morning, the Ash tree was treated, and the invoice for that came via e-mail, at exactly the agreed upon price. We are waiting for the rest of the work to be done. Fred said it would likely be late October as they are quite backed up with work now. | |I liked Fred, and he was very easy going, no pressure, just a professional diagnosis and open conversation of possible treatments of the issues in our yard. At this point, I am very happy with the service and prices.

Description of Work: I had them out for an estimate of multiple tree trimmings and removal. I was so happy to get a full break down of each tree/area so I can have the work done when I am ready to go. There is no reason I haven't had the work done yet except for my own financial needs. Hoppe will get my business though. He knows his stuff.

Description of Work: Removed and cut down fallen tree. Only problem was they're so booked, it took 3mos to remove (dangerous) broken tree.

Description of Work: Hoppe trimmed and cleaned up many trees on my condo property. They also cleared out invasive trees and plants around our pond. They are very efficient at what they do and clean up after themselves. This was the third time we used them cause they do such great work. They are also true arborists and full of useful information.

Description of Work: Purchased firewood (including stacking) via special sale on Angie's List. Unfortunately would was damp and not seasoned and did not burn. Hoppe immediately sent out replacement wood and restacked. Overall have always found the people at Hoppe wonderful to deal with.

Description of Work: Hoppe came out to provide a free estimate in March. They were the most reasonably priced vendor we received an estimate from, and they were also not pushy about what services we chose to have done. They did have a mix-up between the office and the work crew on what day they would come out, but they made sure to get us on the schedule for the next work day. | |Their two-man crew was speedy and efficient. They did everything as promised and didn't surprise us with anything.
