Hoppe Tree Service

August came out to provide an estimate immediately. They have great customer service and expertise. It was a complicated job due to a fenced in backyard and size of the trees. Hoppe took down our fence to bring in the bucket truck, laid boards to protect the lawn, hauled all debris, raked up the backyard (including some remaining leaves), and had the fence back up within 1 day. They did minor scheduling mishaps for the work, but Hoppe more than made up for the inconvenience.

Great experience. I emailed and called Hoppe Tree Service. They sent out a representative to give us an estimate. There was no charge for this. After we decided to use their service, we gave them a call and scheduled the appointment. The tree guys showed up around 8:30 and were finished by 12:30. It was quite impressive. They made this look easy. I was impressed with how efficient they were. I thought that I would have to spend the following weekend cleaning up the yard after this. This was not the case. They cleaned up after the job. I was delighted.

They did a good job. I asked for the tree limbs and they left them. I asked for some of the wood chips, and they left them also. The only thing they did was leave the limbs and chips on the grass. I have a very busy schedule, but I had to stop everything and move the wood and chips to the garden and sidewalk.

Crew arrived on the scheduled day. Did the work and cleaned up afterwards. The tree looks great. It enhances the house now instead of overpowering it.

I thought the price was great, I agreed to let them do this upon on their schedule - since I was in no rush and we didn't need to be home to perform this.

They were really knowledgeable about tree care. He had a lot of technical knowledge and gave professional advice, that other companies did not seem to offer.

August returned our call quickly. He delivered the requested quantity of firewood within the promised time frame a day or two after making initial contact. The firewood is very nice.

They were on-time and I was not for the estimate visit, but they provided a quote based on a phone discussion. The work was done on-time as scheduled, but they did the work they had suggested, but that I had never authorized, and sprayed not only the wrong trees, but a different type of tree than was on the estimate. I paid for the spraying, but they waived the charge for work done not authorized.

Service was excellent. They arrived at the scheduled time, were friendly and accepting of small changes in the original order, and I thought the price was very reasonable.

They came when they said they would and did the work according to what I wanted and for the amount estimated. I thought they could have removed some suckers growing on a few of the trees. If I could, I'd give a grade of A minus instead of B for quality.

I was very satisfied. They came right away to check it out. I cannot complain.

August Hoppe was very helpful, and thorough. He provided a detailed list of the work to be performed, and did a very good job on all accounts.

Job 1: August returned our call promptly and presented a job estimate within 48 hours of first call. Very professional, work was done quickly and work area left clean of debris. Plan to use Hoppe Tree Service again for additional tree service and would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family. Job 2: August and his staff were very professional and were extremely efficient. We were actually apple to harvest apples off the tree this year. We won't hesitate to have Hoppe Tree Service come again next year to spray and trim our apple tree.

The work was good and the price was reasonable.

Awesome job. The stump was really close to the house, but there's no sign of it. Spots where bushes were removed were filled with dirt and no debris was left behind. The only complaint is that no one called to let me know they when they were coming out to do the work.

It took a while for them to come out because they're so busy. When they did come, the job was done very quickly. They did a good job.

They did an excellent job of removing the tree and cleaning up after themselves. Although they accidentally forgot to put us on the schedule, they came immediately after I brought it to their attention.

We have used Hoppe Tree Service since finding them on Angie's List a couple of years ago. They have always done great work. However a few weeks ago, a "chain saw" accident put us in a time crunch to get shrubs removed from our home in order to allow painters to begin painting the exterior. August Hoppe prioritized our project and got the work completed in time. Outstanding service and responsiveness! Could not be more pleased.

Excellent. He came out to look at it right after I called, and they returned to do the job within a few days. Cleaned up well and took everything away with them. He even allowed me to deduct my 10% Angies List discount after the fact, because I forgot to tell him about it before receiving my bill.

Very responsive & responsible. Mr. Hoppe is very knowledgeable and helpful. I had an elm tree tagged by the city with Dutch Elm Disease. Fortunately it is in its early stages as I hate to destroy a 50+ year old tree. Mr. Hoppe offered a removal of the 1 diseased limb and a 3 yr. fungicide treatment as an effort to save the tree. He had already spoken with the city to confirm this as an alternative to taking the tree completely out. There is no guarantee the tree will survive but there is a very good chance it will since there was only 1 infected limb and the disease was caught early on.

They did an excellent job, came when they said they would, and the tree looks great now.
