They came when they said they would come, and they were very friendly. I remember I had to get out of my backyard with my car, and they had come before I had a chance to leave. However, they were very gracious when I had them move their stuff out of the way. They cleaned up their mess.

They have done such a good job. They are very professional, they know their business, and they do a good job. Their prices are reasonable too.

I got two different bids and they were the lowest. They did a great job. I had worked with this company in the past at another time. I called them to come out and had to tie a pink ribbon around the trees I wanted removed. I never even saw the workers. They seemed very competent when I talked to them on the phone. I came home from work one day, and they were hauling away the last of the saw dust from the tree removal. They cleaned up thoroughly and I would recommend them and hire them again in the future.

Excellent response from Elizabeth and August. Driver was outstanding in professionalism and courtesy. Stacked the wood in very cold weather without complaint.

They redid my entire garden; expanding it, planting flowers, shrubs...etc. They also trimmed one of my oriental trees and installed rough gravel by my driveway. I am very happy using them and am confident enough to recommend them to others.

I had a very positive experience with this company. I have a large yard and needed quite a bit of work done. August Hoppe came out for an estimate within a few days of my call. I was very impressed with his knowledge. He gave me what I thought to be a very fair estimate based on all the work I needed done, five trees removed, three very large Norway Maples, a Box Elder and a Weeping Willow trimmed and a treatment for two very sick looking trees. The Norway Maples in particular needed extensive work and they were the bulk of the estimate. The work crew, headed by Fred Hoppe, was punctual, friendly and very hard working. They got to work right away and even though a lot needed to be done they finished within three hours. The crew was very professional. I am very happy with the job they did and would recommend them. I will definitely have them back again for any other work I need done.

I have used Hoppe before and was very satisfied - and this time was no different. August came out to inspect my two issues, and gave me a quote that day. They came out soon afterward to fertilize the large trees, and left a note that they had been there. He had told me it would be awhile (4-6 weeks likely) before they came out to prune the Linden tree...and it was. They called the Friday before and said they would be out on Tuesday. They did the work while I was at work, and the only way I knew that they had been there was that they had left some of the branches for me - as I had requested - so that I could use them in my fireplace. The tree looks SO much better!! August went above and beyond when he agreed to look at one of my neighbor's trees for me while he was giving me the estimate. She is 92, and was afraid the tree was going to fall on her house - but it looked ok to me. He looked at it and confirmed for me that it was fine - though it could use a good pruning. It put her mind so at ease to hear that from a professional - of course she asked for the company name and number so that she could call them to do the pruning when she was ready. I was more than happy to give it to her. They are just an impressive company !!

They came to our house during the day after we contacted them and left us a quote (about $300). We called them up to have the tree removed, which they came and did within the next week. They were only here for a couple of hours and ground the stump as best they could (there was field stone around the base of the tree, which made it difficult to get all of the roots). After removing the field stone and discovering many other surface roots, we called Hoppe back to regrind the stump and roots, which they did a couple of days after the call. There was no charge for the second trip to regrind the stump. Total cost for the job was $285. I can't say enough about the positive, professional and timely service they provided. The cost was FAR less than we were expecting, having received some verbal estimates that were 3-4 times the price from other tree service companies at a recent Milwaukee Home Improvement and Remodeling show. We will hire Hoppe Tree Service again without question the next time we have any need for tree services.

They promptly came to trim the tree. They cleaned up after themselves. If it weren't for the bill, we would not have known they were here.

It went just fine. The only snafu was that they scheduled a certain day to remove the vines & asked us to move our cars. So we did, but on that day it rained, so they cancelled the service. It was only slightly inconvenient & I was waiting for them to call back & reschedule so we could move the cars again & then I came home one day & the vines were gone! Hoppe just came as soon as they could & got it done. They did a great job--everything was cleaned up perfectly & they were right on the price they quoted us. We really appreciate it & hope to use them for more extensive yard work in the spring.

They came right away to give an estimate though he arrived earlier than planned and went over what I wanted over the phone instead of in person. They came fairly soon after to do the soil injection but waited several weeks to trim the trees. They sent a bill immediately after they did the soil injection for that portion of the job. When I called their office to make sure that they were going to do the entire job, I was told that they have different crews and it would be done. So they send out invoices for each job. I told her that I had a coupon from the Angie's List magazine for 5% off. She said that it wasn't valid for the soil injection (though the add/coupon lists soil injection) but that I could apply it to the tree trimming bill when I received it. She asked if I would like to be notified when the tree trimming crew would be coming and I replied that I would. They never did call before they came to trim the trees.

Received the estimate and agreed to the work in August. We were advised work wouldn't begin until the ground had hardened up, which was quite understandable. Advised us of the scheduled date in October, arrived promptly and completed the entire job with clean up, even stacked the firewood where we asked.

Excellent job. There was minor damage to the sidewalk but Hoppe Tree service took care of it. The tree removal went very well considering the close proximity to both homes. They cleaned up the yard before they left.

When we got our quote the quoter was able to easily see what needed to be done and didn't have to bother my wife. Left a quote on the spot. Quote was a bit more than other tree services, but we felt that Hoppe would do a better job based on their reputation. Tree was overhanging house and was set in wooded area among other trees that we didn't want damaged. They arrived a bit late ( I believe it was an equipment failure), but they called to inform us that they would be late. When they got there they verified with me the work to be done and got right to work. They took down the tree, cut the trunk up into firewood-sized rounds which they left for us. They ground up and hauled away the rest. I asked them if they had time to remove a thick ash branch that was overhanging our driveway for an extra charge. Although it required 3 men and some rigging to get the branch down they did it at no extra charge. I observed the removal and noted that their men all observed good personal safety rules and also worked carefully to avoid damaging the house or other trees. When they were done they billed us instead of asking for payment on delivery. Several weeks after they finished we began to receive a quarterly newsletter from Hoppe Tree Service. I contacted them by email and they graciously removed us from their list at my request. Hoppe has a well-deserved reputation, and I think they are worth the extra cost.

I would say that they are very personable people. They are willing to come out and consult the customer without a charge, even between the times we had work done with them. They are prompt.

They were good. The man was very patient with me as far as the swing goes. I had to go get hardware and he waited around and did other things while they waited for me. They were laid back about my schedule. They gave me advice about a tree that has an illness.

The Hoppe Tree Service crew was outstanding. My yard went from old, overgrown and dying trees to beautiful in one day. The crew missed one of the bushes; so I phoned, and the crew returned the next day and removed it. This is the second time I've hired Hoppe, and I couldn't be happier with their work!

An estimate was provided promptly. Other than the work being done a few weeks later than originally indicated everything in the process was handled extremely well. Work was all performed quickly, efficiently and extremely well. I will definitely use their service again.

It was a a very good experience. I talked to the owner directly and he gave us a very nice estimate. He came out several times, he was very nice and we would defiantly have him come out again.

Everyone I dealt with, the estimator and the two tree trimmers, were accommodating, polite, helpful with professional suggestions such as how much to prune, where to cut, why "here not there" all in all, it was a first-rate experience. This is the second time I have had them do work for me and I wouldn't think of using anyone else.

Very pleasant. I had to call them back to remove some exposed roots they missed. It was fairly minor. They were very responsive to this request. We had a difference of opinion regarding the soil the bushes should be planted in. I would use them again for tree service, but not planting services.

They were responsive when we first asked for a quote, but after that he was a little hard to get a hold of, but once we did get him scheduled they did a very good job. They didn't leave a mess and I was really impressed. They did damage a window but they were very good at coming out and fixing it.

They were quick to respond. They did a good follow-up via e-mail. They showed up on time. They also did not exceed their estimates. They got the job done very quickly and efficiently.
