Hellenbrand Water Center

Description of Work: We called Hellenbrand because we had a 22 year old Hellenbrand water softener that seemed to have a timer motor problem. They offered to send out a technician so see if the unit could be repaired, which would involve a $89 trip charge, but advised that it was probably time to replace the water softener with a new model. If they did send out a technician, but we decided to have them replace the unit, they would not charge the $89 trip charge. They then promptly emailed us information on the newer units that were available, together with pricing info. After listening to our Hellenbrand contact and to others we called about our water softener, and doing some online research, we decided to replace, rather than repair, our existing unit. Although the Hellenbrand unit is undoubtedly a very good water softener, we ultimately chose the Capital Water Softener on the basis that their unit seemed comparable to, if not identical to, the Hellenbrand unit and was almost $200 less expensive. Other than the price difference, we had a very positive experience with Hellenbrand.
