If high quality service flooring and excellent customer service has a name, it would be Floor Covering International. I had them install a custom wood floor and carpeting in my condo. There are several elements that make this business better than anyone. Not only is the installation and products first rate- but also the people who work there. They work well with each other and there is excellent communication between the office staff, sales and installers, along with their customers. And ALL of the people I worked with love what they are doing. And all paid great attention to detail on all areas of my project, which made it turn out so well. When I first called Floor covering International I was little surprised to get answer service, but found out that don’t like to miss calls. When Michelle - office and project manager is out checking on a job, the answer service takes the call. I received a call back not long after I left a message. Matt- the salesguy came to my condo to give me an estimate and options for a bedroom wood floor. The company brings the wood floor or carpet sample to you, which was alot more convenient than having to go to a store. Matt was personable - and NO hard sell- but instead explained everything I needed to know about wood floors and very patient with all my questions. I told him that I had several pieces of oak floor leftover from my parents house, I wanted installed for sentimental reasons, he looked it over what I had and said no problem! I was pretty happy about that. About 2 weeks later, I decided I also wanted carpeting, and asked Matt to come back. And again, was easy as he brought carpet samples with him to the condo. And again, no hard sale, just lot of great information. You could tell, he loves what he is doing ( another sign of people who do quality work ) I decided to get both carpeting and wood floors, and now worked with Michelle the office manager, also knows about flooring and construction, also She scheduled the job- For my situation, it worked best that we do the wood floor first, then take out the carpeting and then install carpet, which was fine with me. The day they were to put in the wood floor, I was there to pick out the stain I wanted. And Michelle also stopped by, as I wanted a 2nd look at what I had picked out for carpet sample. I was bit uncertain between 2 colors, but Michelle has a good sense of colors and what would fit with the colors in my condo and helped me make a choice that I was happy with. Looking around the room, she also notice some water damage was exposed on the subflooring, years ago , as it was not wet. She took a look at it and discussed options of what to do about it, and then looked at the window frame itself and outside, pointed out what the issue likely was, what needed to be done. I have alittle sense of building construction also, and could tell she really knew what she was talking about. Before she left, she looked over where the wood floor was to be installed, and pointed out to the floor installer a few different things he needed to be aware of in the project. And the floor installer - Kevin is an artist - really, as that floor was put in perfectly !!! It looked amazing! After the carpet was installed, Michelle came back to check to make sure everything was done as requested, and to be sure there was no mess, carpet fuzzies, or anything left. Great company, great people, great products , outstanding service !!!

The whole team at Floor Coverings International of Waukesha were terrific. From the first meeting, to the color selection to the finished product, this family owned business took great care to make sure I understood the process. They executed flawlessly and I would highly recommend them.

They did a good job and would hire them again

Everything went well from start to finish. They were very punctual and returned phone calls timely. It was nice to have someone come out to see the rooms and make suggestions as to flooring options as well as what colors would work. The installation went smoothly and they cleaned up after. I thought the pricing was very reasonable also. It was painless. They even did a walk through after to make sure everything was done accordingly.

Very well. The carpet guys took a little longer than at first estimated, but they did a fine job and cleaned up after themselves.

Excellent. Hubie was very knowledgable and easy to work with in finding out that the wooden floors in the house were yellow birch and the new floor matches the old. The installers were a pleasure to have in our house and the new floor looks great.

Found them here on Angies list. Everyone was nice, Courteous, Prompt, and professional. Would definitely recommend and hire again in the future.

The whole process was great. I had Matt come out and measure and had proposal the same day. Once I signed the contract I had their production manager schedule the work. The schedule never changed. I have also used this company for multiple other flooring projects and they have always done an awesome job. I know when using them there is no concern that there will be any issues when they are done. They go above and beyond to make sure the customer is satisfied.

The sales person Matt came to our home and spent about 3 hours with my wife and I. he took the time to answer all of our questions. He asked what our concerns were and helped us pick out the right product for our home and life style. Two weeks later they came and installed the new floors. They communicated with us daily about the job and the workers were friendly and helpful. The job was done on time with no big delays or issues.

The customer service is off the charts! Matt came out to prepare a quote and we were very impressed with his knowledge of the products and the process (what will work best for the climate in the rooms, what will match the existing flooring best, how to lay it down to make the rooms look bigger). We accepted the quote right away because it was slightly below what we had budgeted for and what we'd gotten from other companies who were much less impressive. The scheduling and installation when very smoothly. Michelle followed up after the first day to ensure we were happy and after the project completed. It just could not have been a better experience. Each job was competitively priced, using good quality flooring (not some cheap junk), and was done very professionally and quickly (one day jobs in all cases). i cannot complement these guys enough, and have quoted more flooring at my work, and a complete re-flooring for my home (kitchen). If repeat business is the sign of good work at a fair price, then i can't give them a higher rating....

Loving our new floors! We had our original red oak wood floors refinished in the entryway and installed new wood floors in the dining room and living room. Turned out beautifully. All the wood floors look as if they had been installed at the same time and are lovely. Matt was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and Michelle was an excellent project manager. Loved that she followed up at the end of every day and gave us updates on how the project was progressing. A wonderful team of people to work with. Highly recommend.

FCI did what they said they were going to do, delivered on time, and provided the service for the agreed price. Matt is extremely professional and knowledgeable and anticipated my questions before asking them. He provided great suggestions that recommendations that assisted in guiding our decision. He went above and beyond to schedule our job on a very tight schedule - truly amazing. Michelle communicated with me almost daily on the status of our project. She did an incredible job ensuring that there was as little residual dust remaining as possible. An issue did arise with my project, but Michelle and Matt ensured that it was remedied in a timely fashion. They earned a lifelong customer that will recommend FCI to friends and family.

They are outstanding in every capacity. Matt and Michelle do a great job.

Matt was on time for the appointment. He was very helpful and patient. He explained that the carpet had to be ordered and called me Monday morning of the following week to set up an appointment for installation. The installers were on time and very nice gentlemen. The work was done quickly, they even vacuumed before they left! Michelle stopped by approximately 15 minutes after the installers had left, checked out the work (it all looked great), and took the time to talk to me about the care of the carpet. I was impressed and will recommend them to family/friends.

Matt showed up at 2:00 on Thursday 3/31 My wife and I both took off work as they had no evening or weekend appointments available. He took about 10 minutes to do measurements of the space I needed flooring He then said he would go to his van run some quick numbers and come back with some flooring samples. After watching Matt talk and laugh on his cell phone for 25 minutes I walked out to his vehicle He ignored me for the first 5 minutes I patiently waited for him to acknowledge me. After literally getting inches from his window, he begrudgingly rolled down the window. I told him he could leave and just email me his proposal as I did not have time to wait for him to finish his long and presumably personal cell phone call. Never heard from him again.

We were getting competitive bids for carpet installation. After looking at Angie's List, we had settled on two providers to check out. I called up FCI-Waukesha and asked for a ballpark estimate so we could decide whether we should move forward and get a full quote and they said, No, they have to come look at the place. So we scheduled an appointment. We also had an appointment with another provider. The other installer came first, and when they did so, we learned that they were going out of town soon, so we would need to make a decision about who to hire before the appointment we had scheduled with FCI-Waukesha. So we needed FCI's estimate this week, in order to get back to the first provider in time. So we called FCI-Waukesha to see if they could move up our appointment by a week. They did this; that was nice. At that time, I also asked them again for ballpark price info because of the timeframe problem, and they did call us back with that info (with the disclaimer that "this is just an estimate, not a quote"). That was also nice of them. That reassured me that their prices were in the right ballpark for us to proceed with getting a more solid estimate or quote from them. I didn't hear back any further from them. In particular, they never told us that they were cancelling our appointment. I actually stayed home from work so I could be there to meet the provider (I want to meet anyone who comes to work on our house) and confirm that the ballpark phone estimate was in fact accurate, since I was previously informed that for a real estimate they have to come look at the place. Unfortunately the time came and went and no one showed up. When I phoned up the office, they were very apologetic, which was nice. And they called the owner and gave him this information, which was nice. The actual phone call with the owner was a little disappointing, though, since there was no apology, and no acknowledgment of what the office had confirmed, which was that we had in fact had an appointment, and that it was someone other than me or my husband who had cancelled it. They just said that there was no appointment. Technically, that was true, because someone had cancelled it. But it wasn't us who cancelled it and there was no way I would know that it was cancelled. It would have been fine if they had let us know as soon as they had cancelled it. It would even have been mostly fine if they'd apologized after the fact. And they did lots of other things right. But not telling us that they cancelled the appointment, and acting like that was okay, is what's disappointing.

Working with Floor Coverings International was a great experience. My initial consultation was with Matt and he really took the time to explain the whole process and was very patient with all my questions. I chose FCI because of the price, the good Angie's List reviews and because Matt said his sister Michelle would be overseeing everything - including a walk-through at the end. I'm happy with my decision. The workmen were friendly, hard-working and cleaned up every day. Michelle stopped in every day and walked me though everything....even staying late on a Friday to make sure everything was done to my liking. A+

The project described above went absolutely fantastic. They held our hand through the entire process. Emails were responded to immediately. Phone calls were returned within the hour and all questions were answered. They never let us feel any question was too small to address. From the initial visit with Martha (design consultant) to the final walk through with Michelle we were in the best of hands. The actual floor installers, Bill and Brad (also including Michelle and Mike for some finishing touches) went above and beyond to provide quality work throughout the project. After Michelle did the final walk through, Martha called and wanted to come out and see the project in its entirety - questioning if we were happy with the result and workmanship. They wanted us to be happy with the results and went out of their way to make sure we were. As a gift they brought out a floor cleaning kit to help us get started. Working with Floor Coverings International was one of the best experiences we have had in terms of remodeling. As a family run business (within a franchise) they are proud of their work and expect only the best from themselves and each other. Floor Coverings International was a great company to work with. We are in the process of readying our house for sale and needed a few cosmetic improvements to rooms that suffered lots of wear and tear over the years. Every step of the process from design consultation to actual work was made easy and clear by the professional, friendly approach of Matt and Michelle. Matt came out to our house with carpet samples and discussed recommendations and details regarding the process of having our basement carpet replaced and hardwood floors refinished. Once we made our decisions, Michelle was in regular contact with us throughout the entire process. She called to schedule installation dates, gave reminder calls, promptly answered questions any time, came out to our house regularly to check on the quality of work being done, and was readily available for any questions or concerns. In addition to the professional approach of Matt and Michelle, the workmen that were sent to our house to complete the jobs were prompt, friendly, professional, and provided high quality work. Our hardwood floors and new basement carpet look so good, it's a shame we need to move! I will definitely recommend FCI to my neighbors and friends and would definitely use them in the future!

Provider was a no call - no show. Extremely unprofessional.

We were very pleased by the service that Matt provided during the sales process. He came to our house to show samples and understood what I was looking for. He explained the differences in the type of flooring and the pros/cons of each. He didn?t initially have the hardwood floor I was looking for but had no problems promptly getting the samples. There weren't any high-pressure sales tactics; it was just a very up front and straight forward approach which I appreciated. After the order was set, I found a carpet I liked better and he was very understanding about changing the order. As the project manager, Michelle provided excellent customer service and contacted me before the project to review what we needed to do and how the work would progress. We had a little misunderstanding on the product selection but FCI proactively reserved the materials so there wasn?t any delay in the project. The installers were prompt and worked diligently throughout the day. The job took longer than expected but they came back the next day (Saturday morning) to finish the work. At the end of the project, Michelle went over everything with me and made sure all the little details were taken care of. Both Matt and Michelle were very accommodating in meeting our schedules which was really nice! We have a friend who is a professional appraiser and he was very impressed with the quality installation of the hardwood floors. We are very happy with the service and love the end results from FCI and would not hesitate to use them in the future.

Service was quick and painless. They left our house very clean. Product was as expected and for a good price.

Everyone arrived on time, every aspect of the process was supervised and every worker was courteous and professional. The managers of our project checked in every day, and were available anytime we had a question or concern. It was an enormous project, but they held our hand through the entire process, and gave us excellent advice on anything we needed. Clean up was awesome!

Floor Coverings International did a fantastic job! We are extremely happy with the quality of work, as well as the communication with the company. When we worked with Matt, the sales representative, he showed us a lot of samples and asked good questions to be sure that we ended up with the exact product we wanted. The installers showed up on time and cleaned up thoroughly. We even screwed up and melted some of our carpet with an overheating vacuum. They came quickly and replaced the ruined section. We would absolutely go through them again for any future flooring. No question!
