Description of Work: 4 different jobs were performed. 1 1/2 hours of work. Great job. Just a little more expensive than I thought it would be. I would still go back to schoofs for future work as the quality and professionalism was top notch.

 + -1 moreDescription of Work: I had Schoofs out to see why the pilot light would not ignite on my high efficiency water heater occasionally. nothing could be found initially and I was to observe the codes for when it went out. When I had them back, they ran a diagnostic and narrowed it down to two things. The most likely part was ordered. After the part was replaced, the water heater has been working like a charm. Even though they were here 3 times, I was only charged for 1 service call. They were very professional. The work was done in a timely manner. I did not need to clean up after them

 + -1 moreThey were great, they are on time, they are responsive, we always get our moneys worth. If he finishes in less than an hour they will ask for additional work, they are very professional. They had to come back once and had to replace a faucet and they didn't charge us extra. They only charged us for a little under two hours and they were here for a lot longer than that.

 + -1 moreI called Shoofs and the phone ran for a long time before someone picked up. I didn't get the name of the gentleman that took the call, but I told him what I needed. He told me they would charge me $148 for the 1st hour and then bill on the 1/4 hour at $24 per hour. I asked if they could come out the next day and he said that would not be a problem. He told me that Frank would call between 8:30 and 9:30. Frank called about 9:30 and arrived within 15 minutes. He replaced the pump on the toilet very quickly. He replaced the plumbing on the laundry tub and replaced a leaking pipe on the hot water heater. He was really nice and did not waste time working. We would definitely use them again. Thank you Schoofs! I have not received the bill yet so my price is an estimate.
Description of Work: I had a toilet that was running constantly and a laundry tub that needed to have the faucet replaced as it was leaking as well.

Description of Work: Called the company to have some gas pipe work repaired and the policy of the company is to not give estimates on this type of work. He just basically comes and charges $200 for the first hour and $97 for the additional time plus materials. I chose not to do business with this company because I would have no idea with regards to what I could ultimately pay at the end. I chose to go with someone else.

 + -1 moreHe was really helpful and felt bad that it only took him 5 minutes to repair even though he would have to charge me the minimum hour, so he walked around my house with me to give me an idea of how much future major work would cost - and in the end, only charged me for a quarter of an hour of service.
Description of Work: Cold water would not turn off in shower - he removed the knob and adjusted the control valve.

 + -1 moreTHEY CAULKED THE FIRST VISIT AND CAME BACK WHEN THE ISSUE RECURRED. THEY CAME BACK RIGHT AWAY. AFTER I CALLED WHEN THEY BILLED FOR TWO TRIP CHARGES, THEY CREDITED $100 RIGHT AWAY. I APPRECIATED THAT THEY WERE WILLING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE SO QUICKLY.
