Description of Work: They replaced a post that holding up the structural steel that supported the second floor. Also the roof was sagging in the same area - they fixed that as well. Added gutter topper to prevent leaves from clogging them. And they did some maintenance to siding and downspouts. The project went well. They matched a very intricate pattern in the thin coat plaster ceiling. we weren't in a rush -just wanted the job done correctly. So when we had to wait for the correct guy to do the plastering we were agreeable and in the end the wait was well worth it. They worked around our schedule and we accepted theirs. It looks great now like there never was any sort of problem.

New fascia and soffits with structural work. Ran into problems they were able to solve through out project. Great company to work with. You get what you pay for.

Description of Work: Replaced our front entry and storm doors. They did a great job. Paid attention to detail, and have courteous and professional employees. We plan to use Callen again for other home projects.

Description of Work: This was a large project. 80-year house. Asbestos siding was removed & insulation installed (the house hadn't been insulated). Roof, gutters, flashing & downspouts, windows & doors and porch railing were replaced. Masonry repaired. I was on site a lot. Everyone (carpenters, mason, etc.) seemed concerned about doing their work well. Mike and the site manager Allen were quickly responsive to my questions and concerns and made sure I had a way to contact them. So far I'm pleased with the quality of the work. This was expensive but I didn't have the nightmare of finding and coordinating contractors for all of the necessary work.

He ended up recommending that I not have the work done because it was going to be so expensive and wasn't completely necessary. He also recommended that I wait on having my windows that I was looking to have replaced because they were still in good repair.

Description of Work: Kitchen, master bath, powder room + interior plaster work and painting, hardwood floors. Design, demo, construction. Excellent work, great staff to work with. You may be able to get a lower quote, but will not match the detail and quality that Callen provides.

Description of Work: We have replaced 13 windows in our house over a 2 year period. Callen did an excellent job as we had all new framing done for the windows on the inside of the house. Work was timely and neat - no mess was left behind.

Description of Work: Received a bid for vinyl windows. I have used and trust Callen for many other projects. This one came down to price and warranty for the windows itself. We wanted to go with a manufacturer/installer instead of through a third party for the warranty. I will always go back to Callen though.

Description of Work: Looked at three different bids and suppliers for some replacement windows in two bedrooms and Callen was far and away the best choice. Price was competitive, quality and professionalism was outstanding! Would absolutely recommend them to friends and family!
