Mad City Windows & Baths

We ran into MadCity Windows at cranfest last year and they set up a time to meet at our house to give us a quote. We knew we wanted some new windows in our house we just never found the right place. These guys went through everything with us and told us what to expect and handled everything. Upon installation day, this guy came in and went right to work. We were a little worried with there being just one guy but there was supposed to have been 2 but one didnt end up making it. This guy took out an entire patio door and huge front window all by himself, and installed both our new patio door huge picture window with precision and professionalism. By the time it was done, you wouldn't have even known that this guy was here. He cleaned up everything and then vacuumed. The seals are perfect and the trim looks great! Now for the windows. They are amazing. What they describe to you during your quote is what you get. We have had one of the coldest winters on record and these windows may be cold to the touch but they are not freezing and they don't let in one ounce of cold air. They open with ease. You can open both the sliding glass door and the windows with one finger. We have had a great experience with MadCity windows and plan to go through them again once everything thaws out and we would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a professional company to install their windows and doors. I love my new tub! the installation was great, the installer was exceptional, stayed till the job was done. It took all day because my house is OLD. The main installer worked all day with others coming in to help at certain points. He stayed till late to make sure it was all finished. Came back the next evening to finish all the final touches.

Our experience with Mad City began with Ryan Adams one of their very knowledgeable sales personnel. We knew it was time to replace our harvest gold tub which we had already painted and that paint was chipping off. We wanted to replace it with a walk-in shower. Ryan was able to show us options on his computer. It was great to be able to see what our choices would look like. We could view and decide on the color of the shower walls, placement of grab bars and even placement of shelves and shower seat if we wanted one. We were told that installation would take one day (which we were skeptical about). We were shocked to have only one installer show up and he was very prompt with his arrival. He was very professional and said he would be done by 5:00 pm that day. He worked diligently all day even having someone from Mad City drop off a window framing kit so he could continue to work. He had all his tools and supplies and every bit of debris cleaned up by 5:15 pm. We are extremely pleased with our new walk-in shower and cannot think of anything Mad City could have done to make our remodel better! Super company to work with. Peg & Al Wondrash

The job they did was not great or good at all. We had problems with get the manager out to look at the work that they farm out to other contractors. We had the work done in Augest of 2018. They have not called back all. We contact the BBB. They responded to the BBB by saying they tried calling us back. Which they didn't call back. then they want you to do a survey of there work they bribe you with $50.00 to $100.00 gift card to give a great review. They pressure you into buying their product. Please do your research. I highly recommend not to use this company. We have contacted our lawyer to see what rights or what we need to do. Don't use this company at all. I go out of my way to spread the word to stay away from this company. I'll post it on everywhere on social media as much as I can

We recently had a full window and patio door replacement. We were deceived by the salesperson Brian Miller by him stating that the installers would gut the walls around our windows and put all new insulation in. Pocket windows were installed instead meaning they put the new windows in without any new insulation. We were also led to believe there would be a thermal test before and after the install to show how much of a reduction in the energy loss of the windows. This was never done. They installed new molding that wasn't finished (we had to do that ourselves). This was stated on the contract and it's technically my fault for not reading the small print, but he never bothered to mention it either. We asked about anti-theft devices on our patio door. He told us they come standard with that hardware. There is no such hardware on the door. There are noticeable drafts in at least 2 of the windows. When I tried calling (on more than one occasion) Brian to voice my concerns, I received no call back. The only saving grace was the installers. Very professional, answered all my questions and were very timely with their work.

Mad City replaced our entire house full of 40+ year old Anderson Windows in December. From start to finish... Matt and I have been extremely satisfied. Love the windows, and the people are great. We will definitely be working with them in the future, next project... new siding!

Highly recommended if you need work done. Recently had a shower installed and couldn't be happier. The contractor did amazing work and the final product is beautiful!!

Install was great! seems like good product.

I would recommend this company for your bath remodel. I love my new tub and surround. The guys that did the work were very knowledgeable and friendly and explained to me what they were doing as they went along. The work did take more than a day but that was because of a plumbing issue not on their part. I also saved money due to discounts and other options that other companies would not offer. Great choice.....very happy!!!

We had our tub/shower replaced and could not be happier about it. They did an excellent job and were fast and extremely friendly. I would recommend them to anyone who was looking to upgrade their bathroom.

They were so nice and very efficient

The 1st time it was done in the 3 hours that they said it would take. Only problem is I think due to the time restraints that the workers have it makes them rush. All the windows in the living room had to be redone and a 2nd team came at a later date to fix them. I believe they are ok but haven't been able to check well and open them due to the freezing cold weather here in Wisconsin.

Overall very impressed with the quality of the work done in my home by the folks at MadCity. Work was done in a timely manner and the contractors were all very respectful and tidy! Can’t wait to have more work done!

We had a tub installed with jets and grab bars, which included new walls and new shower head. The tub has eight high-pressure jets on swivels that can be targeted to different areas of the body. The sales person did press us firmly on buying this type of tub, after we changed our minds about the walk-in tub. Eager to try it, I was at first disappointed in the power of the jets. Then I adjusted them with a simple turn of each nozzle, and the sensation was amazing. You can target lower back, shoulders, mid-back and torso, outer thighs and calves, feet, and ankles. The power of the jets relaxes tired muscles, helping me to ease into sleep more easily. I recommend getting more than two grab bars. I get so relaxed, it's hard to pull myself out of the tub with just the two. The installers were fast, efficient, and cleaned up very well after they were done. I had a minor issue, which was resolved vey quickly through the message service online.

Very much enjoyed working with their rep and install team. They worked with me on finding the best options and getting the best pricing available. Install team was swift and made the experience enjoyable. Look forward to working with them again in the future!

Excellent customer service, quality product. I believe you get what you pay for. Mad City was the first window company I had tried and I decided to go with them. The salesman was knowledgeable and worked with me until I was happy with what I could afford, and until he made the sale (didn’t take no for an answer). Windows were delivered and installed timely (1 day installation), and I love them. Every call I had made, whether it was to the store itself, to the installers, or salesman himself-- was handled courteously and professionally. Salesman even suggested some side opening windows that saved me some money. I will be paying for them for quite awhile, and if I sell my home I will be set, and in the meantime, I get to enjoy them!

Work was done efficiently and am very happy with the results.

I would not recommend Mad City Windows for any home project. I’ve been asked to write a review by them twice now, even though our project is yet to be completed. They started our project over 3 months ago. Initially we were told that the installation would take only 1 day. The first day they came to start our sunroom window replacement, they quickly realized that the windows that they ordered were the wrong size. This is after they ripped out the screens that had been in place previously. We were told that they would need to come back when the correct sized windows came in (which we had already waited over a month for). They then came back about a week later and used the same windows (which were too small) and tried building an extra trim to fill in the area. The trim was so poorly built that you could see spaces in between. We let our project manager know that the work was not acceptable. He was nice enough to come back another day to work on the trim, but unfortunately this did not work either. It was then decided that they would “wrap” the windows, which thankfully looked nicer. This process was completed over multiple days over a few more weeks. The last piece of the project was to fit panels over the wrapped windows to cover the screw holes. The parts were damaged and we were told that they would order new ones and be back to install them. Weeks went by and we heard nothing. When I reached back out to them, our project manager had been told the job was done and no one had ever ordered the panels. We are still waiting for these to be placed. Did I mention that the “windows” that were installed aren’t actually windows? They are tight sheets of plastic. We had originally been quoted an outrageous $18K to have the screens in our porch replaced with windows. We just wanted something to keep the weather out to protect the room. When we told them that was too much, they offered us a cheaper “vinyl” window option designed specifically for this kind of project. We believed the window trim would be vinyl, but instead it was the plastic window that we received. It would have been nice for this to have been communicated to us. So if you would like to waste over a week of time off of work to watch your windows be installed incorrectly, I would recommend going with this company. The only positive is that our project manager apologized that this had happened and acknowledged that he was “unimpressed with the crew assigned to this job.”

They were quick and did the job great. Only thing that bugged me was the wood lining they put around the windows were not fully even. Very knowledgeable and the windows are keeping the heat in!

We highly recommend Mad City siding...the work was done professionally from beginning to end. The house looks great!

It was done accurately in just a few hours. It is beautiful and easy to clean. Both the salesperson and the installer were professional and knowledgeable. I am happy every day that I did this.

Mad City recently installed 13 Valley Brook windows and a new roof on our home. Overall we are pleased. I couldn't coordinate the new gutter install with installation of the new vented eaves. The old gutters did not go up well don't drain properly. There is also some damage to the new drip edge. Mike Wills, the roofing manager was great and went above and beyond with his crew. He was on sight for most of the project and did some extras including roofing a small shed that was not in on the deal. After the new gutters go up, I am confident that he will see to it that it all looks good. I dealt with several sales and office people who were all pleasant and knowledgeable. Calls were always returned and scedule was kept. Window salesman was a little pushy and prices were higher than we anticipated, but you do get what you pay for. We would certainly use them again. I work in the medical field so I understand microban. the tub and surround will never mold. best product out there. Plus it has a dbl lifetime warranty. in and out in 8 hrs. my house built in 1910, the pipes also replaced with new copper.

In October 2018 my husband, David, and I contracted with Mad City to rip out our current over-sized tub and install a walk-in shower (ref. 162068). As promised, the custom-ordered materials arrived late November and a Mad City installer promptly took three days to install it. We felt the pricing was fair and are extremely pleased with the design, materials, craftsmanship and installation. Petra Press
