Mad City Windows & Baths

We had Mad City install a shower. The product is very fine, and the plumbing work is top notch. The workmanship is a bit messy. The ceiling was scraped and gouged and we have found adhesive and caulk on other fixtures and wood work. The roll vinyl on the floor had waves in it that were not there before the work started. We enjoy the shower, and I know that things happen when a you are working around a finished room.

We initially were in contact with Mad City to replace our tub and shower surround but decided to hold off on that. We ended up working with Mad City to replace our front bay window, sliding patio door and a kitchen in the window and they were great. The quoting process was very easy and they worked with us on what we could afford to have done at this time. The delivery was as expected as far as timeframe. The installation exceeded our expectations! The install crew was very quick and respectful to our home and cleaned up everything before they left. There were two latches missing during delivery/install but they were in stock the following week and they sent a guy out to install. We would recommend at least talking with Mad City about your window or bath needs.

I loved the windows themselves, the triple-pane is so clear and keeps out the elements and even a lot of sound, plus the double life-time warranty is a big plus. Other than the actual windows, I was not crazy impressed.... I had heard a lot of great things about Mad City from other people who had their whole houses done so I was excited, but I did not have a similar experience. It was winter in WI when we were having our windows replaced, so we knew it would be cold, however we were rescheduled two different times, which was difficult since we had to take the day off of work each time just to have the appointment canceled. The third time the installer called to reschedule the day of the install and I tried to cancel the purchase, which I think is the only reason anyone even came out. It took three guys 9 hours to replace two windows that were in the same room. They didn't clean up outside, and they trampled my gutter downspouts so we had to replace them. We were also sold on the windows that once installed everything would be the same as when we ordered them, however they did not use the same trim, and used unfinished trim so we had to try to paint it while it was on the wall. We did call and complain about the install and the techs and were advised that they were sub-contractors, not actual Mad City Installers. Someone from Mad City did come out and look at the job, then offered to give us a break on the price because of the unsatisfactory job, however once we mailed in the check for the remaining balance someone from Mad City called us to try to collect the balance, which was the discount amount we were promised. As I said - the windows are amazing - but that's where it stops. The scheduling, installation, install crew and communication between the people at Mad City left quite a bit to be desired. We started with just 2 windows because it was already over $3000 and we wanted to make sure this was a quality product and we were going to get what we were sold on before committing to the whole house. We did not contact Mad City to do any other windows in our house after this experience.

Mad City replaced our old, no longer usable shower with a new, clean, and completely sealed shower. It looks great! We have an old house, and Mad City was able to accommodate the unique layout of the bathroom. Thanks to Mad City Windows & Baths for working with us to make our bathroom operable again!

This was the easiest project we have undertaken. Mad City responded to our inquire quickly and a representative came to our home. He informed us of all the possibilities and allowed us to ask questions so that we could design exactly what we wanted. The installers were on time, very easy to work with, and their work was exceptional. They also cleaned up and one could hardly see they had been to our home. Our 1970s bathroom was quickly updated and we have received so many compliments from family and friends about it. We would highly recommend Mad City!

Most frustrated experience ever! Extremely overpriced. No return calls from salesman. No gift certificate as we were told. Ran out of supplies. Short staff. Weeks late. After I signed loan, we were on our own with our questions. We are disabled and on fixed income. Can’t believe this is still happening to elderly. Extremely pushy. Didn’t really have a chance to think about it. Such a sad experience.
