Mad City Windows & Baths

I was very happy with the job that Mad City did on my shower replacement project. My master bathroom had a very small, dingy one-stall shower. But Mad City was able to make it bigger without moving any walls, simply because of their unique paneling system which takes up less room than the old-school fiberglass shell. The process for understanding the unique benefits of their product, picking out my preferences, scheduling the install, etc went very smoothly. Any company I looked at for this project was more than I wanted to pay, but that's just because this stuff is expensive. But Mad City was competitively priced AND I actually understood exactly what I was getting, so I at least felt better about it. I highly recommend! (Katie, job #502988)

We had a master bathroom shower installed and had our original jacuzzi tub removed. Mad City also replaced one of our bedroom windows. The original window was not installed properly when our house was built in 2004. For the past 8 yrs we have owned our house, that room has always stayed cold. The new window is great. That room is no longer cold and hasn't been since they replaced it. Our shower is nice and big. We love the shower. The only issue we had with our purchase was the initial scheduling. It took 3 mos, after the contract was signed, to finally get our work done. I was pretty upset by this, but the boss (Mike, I believe) made sure that we were given priority for our installation date. They got in on time, with that date, and they were all nice and professional. They cleaned up their mess, and they even returned to fix a piece of wood trim that was damaged during the installation. They replaced and installed a new piece of trim. We were very pleased and love our shower and window. We would use them again and would recommend them. JOB NUMBER 28147364MK.1

They arrived on time for measurements and to install windows once they arrived. Very professional, laid plastic in the house to catch dirt & debris. Crew of 7-8 worked steady and had windows replaced by 3:30, cleaned up, and were leaving within an hour. Lifetime guarantee on windows and screens. This leaves me with no worries. They came out in a couple of weeks to replace a defective lock on one window and the insulation strip missing on another. Service was prompt and professional. I have had 2 follow-up calls asking if everything meets our approval.

The crew did a great job. They were on time. Very professional and friendly. Our shower is huge so we were surprised when they finished the entire project in one day and it looks beautiful. The willingly answer any questions I asked while they were working and explained everything in detail as they went along. We would certainly recommend them for this type of project.

My husband and I recently had Mad City Windows & Baths install windows for us. They made the whole process as quick and easy as possible. Recently had a shower replaced. Installers were professional and easy to deal with. They kept me updated at every step and cleaned up after themselves. I love the new shower!

Do not hire these people. I have no idea how they have such a good rating. Would absolutely not hire again. Cons: •Lack of communication regarding project start date. We expected the team to show up on a Monday. They showed up at Friday at 4pm (which was fine; just unexpected, and our project ended up being dragged out for extra days.) We signed papers in December and our install wasn't until June. •Install team was unprofessional. They were not focused on details and rushed to get our job done. Lead told us "go to to Home Depot and buy a piece of trim. I'll leave you some glue to do it yourself." Obviously, we paid them to do this, because we didn't want to DIY it. Duh. So, I played phone tag with the service manager for a week or two. During that time, we got our bill. I called their finance office, who (very quickly) got our project on the schedule to be fixed/finished. •They also left the wall next to our shower in complete disrepair, siting "I don't do drywall. I'm an Install guy." While this is probably true (and I appreciate him not doing our drywall, based on the quality of his other work), it would've been better if he had said "we have a subcontractor that does drywall. I'll get you in touch with him." •Install team left their work areas dirty. I expected them to do a bit more than a cursory sweep-up. They didn't even attempt to clean their mess in our basement. 🤦♀️ •There are some spots where the caulk isn't straight or neat. I realize this is pretty nitpicky, but after months of dealing with these people, I can't help but be. •Definitely not the experience we were expecting after paying tens of thousands of dollars. •During the month of phone tag/trying to get our project fixed/finished, their promotions department called me weekly. They tried to sell us windows. This is so minor, but it added to my annoyance with these people. Couldn't get the bathrooms right, why would I hire you for windows?! Pros: •The new showers and bathrooms do look nice. Hopefully they hold up for a while. 🤷♀️ •The service tech that came out to finally finish the details that we were told to DIY was really nice. If he would've been the first guy to come out, we would've avoided this whole months-long, million and one phone calls, debacle. •The drywall team that they contracted out to was really great. We would hire them again.
