Description of Work: Installed new windows. They leaked air like there was a hole in the wall. They told me the weeping holes in the windows are the result. Installed some tiny insulation the size of a dime and said it should be better. It was not. Generally very poor at responding to emails. Installer did a poor job, product is inferior, and their customer service leaves much to be desired.

Description of Work: Full new siding and 2 new windows in May. In July part of siding had fallen off. They repaired same day, however a product meant to last 30 years shouldn't have failed after 2 months. It is very hard to get a hold of a manager, and customer service claims they are unable to forward you. Our siding looks very good, and we actually really liked the siding crew, but the window crew was unorganized and excessively unprofessional. Some people just don't know how to behave at work, or in public for that matter. A supposed "reputable" company would stop making excuses for sub par attitudes and workmanship, and take action. Feldco is NOT the company they want you to think they are.

Description of Work: I contaced Feldco since they got good reviews, I even stated in my email that I only want a brief visit with estimate and that my funds are limited and my house old with most windows replaces with very basic vinyl windows. The Feldco rep called me and stated I was required to give a minimum of 1 - 1 1/2 hours of my time for an estimate. I assured her it wont take that long but she insisted anyways, needless to say, I didnt even get the point of setting up an estimate. This was very surprising that a company would forgo business because I didnt have time for a long drawn out sales pitch!

Dear Member, Regarding your appointment, I apologize if we did not meet your expectations for an estimate. However, we are very meticulous about our products, service and our warranty. Given that we believe this will be the last time you will replace your windows, doors or siding, we want you to be certain exactly what kind of product, installation and follow up you are going to receive from Feldco and our employees. Sure many contractors will provide a quick ‘estimate’ for work, and when the window, door or siding arrives for installation, a lot of the details and questions that were not addressed up front can become major problems for you and your family. After 35 years of installing millions of windows, we want to make sure you really understand what you are comparing, and with Feldco you don’t receive an ‘estimate’. You receive a written proposal with a firm price quote, and a company that will stand behind its product, installation and service. Our employees are trained and coached year-round to make sure they understand the customers’ needs and propose the products and service that will provide the best solution. It might take a bit more time upfront, but it we believe it makes us more accurate, economical and responsible to our customers.
