[email protected] Subject: Service Order invoice # 1053, Furnace installation at 908 W 39th ST, Vancouver Hi, In late June of this year I requested your companies assistance in completing the installation of a Goodman furnace at the above address. The technician, Chris Gamble and associate were nice and seemed to be proficient at what they were doing but the job was left with a couple of items for me to do. They said that they did not have the electrical license to connect the high voltage leads and run the ground wire to the furnace, but that was all that was left to be done. Here it is September and I ve finally gotten back to this project (cold weather on the horizon and all). I connected the high voltage to the furnace and ran the ground, but the furnace will not activate. I have voltage at the power block on the furnace and the thermostat is confirmed working. There are a few issues with the service that was provided in June that I would like to take some issue with. 1. The furnace obviously needs some additional wiring connections made to make it functional other then just the power leads and ground wire. 2. The bill came to $286.73. a. Misc. supplies $20, o.k., not problem there b. 2 hours service $170, well, they were there for just about 65 minutes and at least 10 minutes of that was spent shooting the shit., so being billed for 2 hours seemed a little much. c. Service Master Referral fee for the lead from Quality Smith, $75, This seems to be just plain wrong that this cost is passed on to the customer directly like this. Nowhere in the website did I find any mention of the customer having to pay a referral fee. At the time I thought, well at least the job s done (except the final power connection) and I can move on. But in light of the fact that it appears that their was more to be done then just the power leads and ground wire it irritates me that I now have to write this email and continue to deal with this project. I would really appreciate a response to the concerns raised above and how your company would propose to address them. Thanks
