Brisco Roofing

The combination of age, leaks, and location (PacificNorthwest) made the decision to reroof easy. We were getting an estimate from the 3rd and final contractor when something unexpected came up. The company would not roof our house without installing sheeting over the existing boards. Our roof was originally decked with spaced 1" x 6" lumber instead of traditional sheeting which in their option wasn?t acceptable or able to carry a warranty. Additionally, depending on the type of material used the added cost would be $1700.00 to $ 2500.00. In order to get a consensus on how to proceed we had another 6 to 7 companies come out for pricing and advice. Out of that large swath of contractors we narrowed the field to 2 -3 outfits. After talking to others in the industry and driving by completed projects we selected Brisco Roofing to do the work. Besides being reasonably priced (not the lowest) we were impressed with their roofing acumen. The actual work progressed quickly and efficiently. Landscape was covered, materials arrived on schedule, the crew was acceptably polite and industrious. Two days from start to finish and that included a last minute addition of re-roofing the shed. Both days owner Dave Brisco came by to check on the work including climbing the ladder, inspecting things first hand, and directing labor as necessary. The ?hands on approach? was comforting and appreciated. Several items came up regarding our original agreement. These involved small things such as roof vents, etc. Dave handled each case respectfully and properly. Again I was impressed and pleased. The roof has been tried by a few rains since its install. No leaks. Not that we were expecting any but it didn?t seem right to give it the thumbs up prior to that test. One final benefit we weren?t expecting: how much nicer the house looks. While not forgotten, the extra money spent on re-sheeting the roof doesn?t hurt quite as bad when viewing the finished product.

I took bids from several Roofing Company's. Brisco was both punctual and professional. He quoted us a quality product for a fair price. We also chose him because of his high ratings on Angie's List. As soon as we received our Roofs funding Brisco arrived. They completed the job in two days despite the heat wave that existed. The work they did was very neat and our roof looks amazing. We did have one dry rot problem. Brisco quoted us a price to fix that of an additional $200 which we thought was very reasonable. He brought back 3 workers and it took them 5 hours because of the awkward slope of our roof. He still honored that price even though we believe he had to absorb some of it. It's nice to find honest, reputable, service-minded business owners in the area.

The work went very well once it got started, we had to wait for the weather to cooperate. The job site was cleaner than when they arrived, very professional and worked very quickly.

Prompt response on all phases of the job from bid to completion. There were no delays or surprises. About 3 full working days to completion plus an added 2 hours to install gutter and drain modification. Work looks professionally done. Cleanup good with minimal litter or nails left behind. Work crew was polite, hard working and looked well experienced. The owner Dave is a local guy and knowledgable about technical requirements, codes, weather related issues etc. I'd highly reccommend Brisco if you want a fast, good quality, no non sense job.

After interviewing and receiving 5 roofing bids I knew that Brisco Roofing was the right company to hire to replace my worn out shake roof with a new composite roof. The entire experience was perfect. Dave answered all my questions, provided a competitive bid, and worked within my desired schedule. His crew was also amazing as they arrived on time, explained their process and listened to my concerns about previous leaks with the old shake roof. Everyone was so professional and worked non stop to complete the entire job within two days. The clean up was complete and the new roof looks great! Everything went as planned. No surprises and cost was as estimated. Work was completed sooner than expected.

It went very well. They were prompt, professional, clean, and reasonably priced. They could not specifically bid on this, since they did not know for sure they were getting into, but the price was definitely fair.

They started on friday and finished by Saturday afternoon. Did a great job and cleaned up 99 percent of the mess. Just a couple of nails and a few very small peices of wood left over. For the size of the job, that was great. Extra price for the plywood that they had to replace due to dry rot was very reasonable. Would use them again anytime.

Dave was fantastic to work with. We explained the situation when we found a leak in the attic caused by the chimney flashing. Dave responded very quickly. He called to let us know he was sending Freddie out to do the repairs, and that he would be there ASAP. Freddie showed up the very next day and immediately went to work. He replaced the shingles and flashing that was the source of the leak. He worked quickly and diligently. We were very impressed with his knowledge, thoroughness and friendliness. I was on the roof with him and he explained in detail all the steps he was doing. We are very impressed and will use Brisco roofing for any further roofing replacement or repairs if needed. We called on short notice when we found the leak and Dave responded very quickly. A great company to work with!

The guys were prompt, polite, professional and very conciencious in their work. The house was clean and everything was very well done. I will definitely use this fine company again for my roofing needs.

Very prompt response. It took only minutes for him to identify what needed to be done. The estimate was very reasonable. Work was completed in about one week from first contact.

I called on Monday morning and was told someone would be out that same afternoon. It worked out well since my wife could come home from work and be available to meet them. No one showed up or called. I got a call and email later than week asking about setting up an appointment to look at the work. No thanks.

A breakdown of experience Positive experiences - Owner answered all my questions - Gave a quote at a reasonable price - Stuck with the quote - Crews showed up on time - Crews where polite, and answered any questions I had Negative experience - I picked up about 100+ roofing staples from the yard and driveway. This definitely should have been done. $20 for a magnet and 10 minutes of a crews time is a small price to pay to keep a staple out of any kids foot. Cory

Their quoting process was fine. I think they are still a small organization because I already sent a contract with them but they have not responded to me yet.

On time, on budget, done in two days. Dave Brisco uses his own employees instead of subcontractors, personally supervises every job, does what he says he's going to do, when he says he's going to do it. I have already recommended him to others.

They worked with me to do the job when it was most convenient for me. They were on the job on time and ready to work. The work was done without issue. The crews were professional and ready and willing to answer any questions that my wife and I had. All-in-all, I am very pleased with the job they did and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Dave came out the day I called for an estimate. I got 3 estimates. His was comparable to the others and he had a coupon offer on Angie's list so I signed with Brisco. The following Monday morning I got a call from Dave at 7:00 a.m. saying they would be here in 1/2 hour. They were here by 7:45, began work immediately and worked constantly all day, taking a break for lunch only while the shingles were being delivered. One fellow stayed til almost 6:00. The following morning they were back working very hard and fast to beat the rain that was expected in the afternoon. They were nearly finished when the downpour hit but they continued until the job was finished. The bushes and yard were all clean (with no damage) before they left. The gutter people came on Wed. morning; started and finished very quickly. They were very professional and did a great job. My neighbors all agree. Dave came back the next day for his check and went up on the roof and double checked everything. He did some caulking in one area and that was the extent of the problems. It has only been a week and no heavy rain storms but I am very pleased with the roof and gutters. Dave was very professional & responsive in all ways. I cannot say enough for the work ethic of his men. I will certainly recommend Brisco to anyone in need of a roofing company.

It went great. Dave introduced me to the roofers and told me that they were almost as knowledgable as he is. They started immediately. One of the roofers pointed out that we had a leak and he corrected the problem. The guys cleaned up each night before they went home. I searched my driveway for nails and clips and found NONE. They even took a few extra things to the dump for me. The only issue I had was that a lot of dirt and dust came into my house when they took off the Skylights. I guess that is a common problem. Overall Brisco roofing did a great job and we would highly recommend them.
