+ -1 moreAfter repairing five leaks in my cedar shake roof, cracked and split from our summer drought, thus of little use during the wettest winter in Seattle history, Tavy finally threw a huge tarp over the roof until the weather cleared enough for it to be replaced. My homeowners? association having relented in the 19 years since I last replaced my roof, I was able to have a composite instead of cedar shake roof. Because of Tavy?s responsiveness, attention to detail, and commitment to d*** the best job possible, he was the one for the job. Tavy and his crew arrived on a Tuesday morning and worked straight through Sunday in order to finish the roof before the rain returned, which it did on Sunday just as they finished!
Description of Work: Complete tear off existing roof · Installation ½ in CDX plywood · Installation of starter metal · Installation of 30 pound Diamond-Deck synthetic, scrim-reinforced, water-resistant, felt underlayment · Installation of designated starter strip on all eaves to prevent leakage · Installation of “W” metal valleys · Installation of second layer of starter strip with material color · Install roof to wall sheet metal as needed · Install sheet metal drip edge metal · Replacement of chimney flashing · Installation of new pipe boot flashing (lead) on external roof pipes · Installation of new ridge RVO metal ventilation system · Installation of 25 ft of ridge vent (8 in core vent over living room only) · Installation of CertainTeed Presidential TL · Installation of mountain hip and ridge · Lifetime warranty on shingles; 10 year warranty on labor · Drill holes at eaves to establish proper attic ventilation, with screens to keep out wasps, roof rats, and squirrels · Complete clean up and haul away of all debris, including using a magnetic roller to pick up nails · Price includes city permit fee
