Sean did a great job identifying the root cause of our heat pump's failure, and outlined several options for us to choose from. The reason I gave 4 stars for value has nothing to do with his work or Pacific Heating & Cooling's prices - it's because we went forward with immediate repairs vs. getting several other quotes to establish a range. For our project (repair cost of less than $500) we felt multiple quotes wasn't required, but I would strongly urge anyone with a project over $500 (or your comfort limit) to solicit multiple quotes/bids. I did not have such a terrific experience with Pacific Heating and Cooling. We had no heat in the house and suspected the furnace or the thermostat was not working. I was told that the initial charge for a diagnostic would be $119.00 but it turned out to be $130.00 and the guy was here for only 10 minutes at the top. It would not have been that long except I objected to his offer of $500 for a new thermostat especially since I told him that I could pick one up for under $30.00. He would not budge on the outrageous price of $500.00 to replace the thermostat. For $119.00 or as it turned out $130.00 you would think that a cheap thermostat could be thrown in for free or at least charge a reasonable price for it especially since we have used Pacific Systems Heating and Air for so many years. They have only conducted air systems inspections in the past and since our house is fairly new, there have been no problems. However, to take advantage of elderly people thinking that we can be fooled into accepting such an unreasonable price because we would not know how to install a new thermostat ourselves is unconscionable. YouTube explains everything perfectly. I even asked if the technician could go out into the garage and quickly look at the heater to see if there was a problem but he said that would be a specific charge at another time. I dread to think how much that would be. I am 72 years old and I figured it out myself. It took me 10 minutes to install after I had purchased a new thermostat from Home Depot. Thanks a lot, Pacific Heating & Cooling!

From the initial call for service to the emailed receipt for services completed, it was and always is a great experience. The phone representatives are always friendly and helpful and get you scheduled quickly. The service technician was going to be early for my appointment window so they called and asked if it was okay and gave me an almost exact time he would arrive. He was neat, clean, professional, and very courteous and the best was very competent. He identified the problem quickly, repaired it, explained it and was on his way. Very little disruption to my day and I am very grateful as the nights are getting colder to have my heat working again. We have used this company for years and we have never had a bad experience. I HIGHLY recommend them without any hesitation!!
