American Tree Care

Ammon and his crew at American Tree Care did a TERRIFIC job. I had one tree taken down w/ grind stump 6" for grass and a few pruned and trimmed up. It being my first time ever having my trees professionally taken care of, Ammon was very patient and informative in answering all my questions. I had to leave before they were finished and when I got back everything was cleaned up and looked very very nice. I couldn't be more satisfied and happy with American Tree Care and I will be calling them in again in the future.

This man, Amon, knows trees. He knew every kind of tree on our property and he could answer every question I had about each one of them. I called him in August, and when he came out, he told me it would be better to do the pruning in December for the health of the particular trees. He wasn't so much about the dollar as he was waiting for the perfect time to do the pruning we needed. It was hard for me to wait, but he was right. I cannot say enough good about him....he is truly a tree expert. His crew was professional and he oversaw it all. He did some of the more ornamental trees himself. He loves trees and appreciates their beauty. Amon did what he promised, cleaned it up, and they were gone. It couldn't have been better. He told me the cost of the project in August and it was the exact price I paid in December. No surprises. I will be calling him again because we need work on the back property. It is obvious this man knows his work and is the 4th generation of people who are experts in this profession. I bet he was doing it when he was seven years old! He is that good. I have hired different tree people over the years. I will never have another.

Promptly answer phone on first contact. Showed up on time to give estimate. Very personable. I would have used these folks but their bid was on the high side.

Ammon was very considerate of our personal situation and was willing and able to schedule around our needs. His crew came to the job early and waited patiently for Ammon to arrive, which he did on time. I have to tell you I was dreading the whole thing because the last company I hired damaged one of our out building when the tree fell in the wrong direction. They were quick, professional and cut and stacked the rounds where I indicated. We have many more trees that need to be removed this spring so I will without hesitation or reservation hire American Tree Care again. I couldn't comment on the price because I didn't get a bunch of quotes but based on my previous experience with the "other" company I found his quote to be reasonable plus I got a $75.00 Angie's List discount.

I've used several other tree companies in the past and using American Tree care has been the best experience I've ever had. The Very professional with the best follow up service I've ever had. I will be recommending this company to everyone I know.

On the day of his appointment, Ammon Harris, called and asked if he could show up at 2pm instead of his appointment time at 4pm. We told him we could not see him since we had appointment with other tree service company at 2pm. Once he heard that, he told us he's not coming !!!!

It smoothly and quickly with good cleanup.

The crew arrived the day scheduled and went right to work. They stayed busy until the entire job was done which included hauling away the trimmings. Excellent clean up and removal of all debris. Care was taken to protect surroundings and worked to meet my expectations. It was a lot of work that I used to do but the hedge has grown too tall to reach with a pole pruner. The even offered a future call 14 months from now to trim again. Will definitely use them again!

It turned out to be a great experience

The project was straight forward. We had initially spoken about the trees the first time he did work for me last year. He returned to discuss the additional two trees that needed to be removed, we agreed on the work to be done, and the cost, and then he came back at the appointed date and time and did the work.

We were very happy with Ammon's work. He is a true professional and has an artist's eye for shaping & pruning trees! He was punctual and did the work exactly as contracted. Excellent clean-up and removal of debris. A very pleasant person to work with. Would definitely hire him again.

The arborist arrived a few minutes after the appointment time. He had been working for someone else and was slightly detained. He checked out the 40 foot tree and its few bad branches. He showed me why the tree was still healthy; how it was continuing to grow and what to expect for the future. He thought that I could probably remove the bad branches myself without having to call a specialist. He was pleasant, professional and I would definitely use American Tree Care again.

The crew arrived on time and did an excellent job of falling the agreed upon trees.

The crew arrived promptly at 8 am in 27 degree weather. They cut down 6 trees, ground out stumps and totally cleaned up the yard. Next they trimmed back a 350 foot Laurel hedge. Both sides and the top. Everything was cleaned up. The hedge is very evenly cut. They did an excellent job.

They arrived on time and ready to work. We were amazed how fast and clean they performed the work. They were very careful not to damage any of the other vegitation while they worked. While there, Ammon made recommendations to other trees that we may want taken care of and explained why it may be necessary. We will definitely use them again for any future work needed.

Their quote was close to the lowest bid we got and Ammon was by far the easiest tree guy I talked to. Some made fun of tree-loving people (um, I do love my trees, I just want them to be safe). Some wanted to cut down any tree any time. One flat-out mocked laws regarding excessive tree removal. One never returned a bid (maybe the job was too small). So, with scheduling quotes and some interesting characters, I was getting unusually frustrated looking to simply remove these branches from a few trees and get some advice about another. Then I was referred to Ammon by a landscaper (that I did find on craigslist) and he came out. He came when he said he would, provided a quote immediately, and once I called to schedule it, called back quickly and scheduled the work for about a week out. My husband watched and asked them to take another branch on the spot; they did, no problem, and didn't charge extra. It was really nice working with someone who was polite and did exactly what they said they'd do when they said they'd do it, while also taking care of the trees I love.

Ammon came out in January to view the property and talk about what work I wanted done. I had one alder tree that the trunk was dead, but there were several branches growing on one side only, which made the tree look unbalanced. I have several piliated woodpeckers as well as other birds, that come & feed on the insects in the tree trunk, so I didn't want to remove the tree, but leave most of it for the birds to enjoy. Ammon said that he would take care of it and "groom it" to make it look more balanced. I also wanted him to remove several dead & broken branches out of a large maple tree - including a heavy branch that was overhanging the neighbor's fence. He recommended that he add a safety cable (aircraft grade) around the 3 main trunks of the maple tree for safety. That way, if any of them ever separated from the tree itself, they would fall straight down instead of across the fence or into the yard. I agreed that he could add the cable. Then Ammon saw a 3rd tree behind another that the top section was dead & should be removed that I didn't even know about! In addition to the trees, one of my neighbor's has natural growth on his side of the property line that had been leaning over my side and was difficult for me to remove because of the slope of the hill. I asked Ammon if he would cut everything back to the property line, which he did when he came out on Feb. 7th. Everything they did looks great! They cut up the large branches & tree trunks to 16" for firewood. Stacked the wood in one area near one of the fences, cleaned up all the branches & debris and put them through a chipper. I asked that the chipped wood be left here so we could spred it around the exposed areas of my large yard. I would definitely recommend Ammon and his crew to anybody that needed tree work.

I was very pleased with the work he and his staff did. It was amazing how quickly and efficiently he cut down the trees. Three of them were 80 feet tall. I was also impressed with how hard his staff worked. They put in long hours to get the work done in two days.

Ammon and team arrived at the stated time, took down the remaining part of the tree and cleared away all debris. They did the job in a couple of hours and cleaned up better than I could have hoped. I was extremely impressed with the level of service and professionalism provided.

We were very happy with them. He came quickly to give us the estimate. It was not the best estimate but we felt they would do a good job and they did. They had all the trees and cleaned up in about 3 hours. They were very good because we share a driveway and they had to move once to let somebody out and it wasn't a problem.

Very professional and a pleasure to work with.

Arrived right on time, finished shortly after 10 (had estimated to be done by 11). Cleaned up all limbs, even small ones, and blew the driveway clean of tree trash and sawdust. A neighbor was so impressed that he said he'll use American Tree Care if he needs any trees work done.

Came to give estimate when promised. Gave date when work would be done. Called to say they could do an earlier day. Came when promised. Did an excellent job. Very professional.

During the last wind storm he put his commercial accounts on hold to help his residential customers remove dangerous or down trees. He charged a fair price for this emergency service. When I have wind damage and downed trees, Ammon is the first one I call and then my insurance agent.

Recommended to us by a neighbor who has used them repeatedly. We have now used them twice and signed up for a third round of cleanup and tree removal. They are very professional, careful not to damage property, and generally did a better job than two other tree services we have used.
