Modernized Exteriors

6 weeks ago we agreed to do the siding on our home with this company. we were very happy with the way everything turned out. The siding was special ordered and delivered right to my home. We chose one siding color because we had it painted at the factory and the trim color for the corners and the window trim we chose white to match with our windows and gutters. It was a big job and there was a couple small things along the way because I had some pretty bad siding rot. Modernized exteriors took pictures of it contacted me right away and it was handled. this is what I was looking for in a company and they followed it up. We really enjoy the new look of our home.

The whole outside of our house was worn beyond its years. The wood siding was hanging off and the windows were leaking the cold air. The roof had been a nice shingle roof 30 years ago. It all needed to be fixed. The Modernized Exteriors company was chosen because they would do all the work and so we didn't have to piece meal it out. They fixed the old deck which was a hazard. All composite decking with very little maintenance. It is good to do all exterior work at once because the fit is superior. The price was expensive but it was a good value. There was a lot of work done and we got our moneys worth.

we went with this company based on their deck experience, We talked to several people and even though the man that came out was slightly younger he really knew his stuff. It took about 6 weeks before construction started due to waiting on the city permits. When the deck was started it took about 2 weeks to build. The men that built the deck were polite and extremely hard workers. We really feel we got what we paid for and the final product was unbelievable.

It was good, they were very nice. I had misunderstood what the plan was and it was kind of about designing a new deck. I wanted input on how to rebuild the deck. Once I found out what I had purchased, I decided I didn’t need a brand new deck design. He insisted on looking at my deck anyways. I did let them take a look but the estimate was just too high.

Siding was ripped off my house and completely new fiber cement siding was installed. A+ Angies List Rating. Coudlnt be more satisfied

We wanted to get these two projects done over the summer but finances just didn't work out that way. We had to wait until our other home sold as we were using that to fund this remodel. The top two items on our checklist was our back deck because we liked to entertain quite a bit and also the siding needed to desperately be redone for mostly looks I would say. Because we are outside entertaining in the Spring and Summer time we really put a large focus on our deck and so we wanted a specialist to do it. We looked on Angies list and the company with the best rating and the most good reviews and we found Modernized Exteriors. Luckily we found that they also do Siding. When they first arrived they arrived ten minutes early. It was two younger men and we got along right away. They were very outgoing and really had some great suggestions on how we could design and utilize our space more to mazamize our space as well as our seating. We decided on using the trex decking and install lighting with it as well. As for seating, we dreamed up a couple benches space out within the deck. We had been waiting 5 years for this and couldn't have been more excited. We trusted modernized exteriors with the job ( both our deck and our siding) and the final product was astonishing. I let them know that anytime they needed a reference they could call me and I would be happy to send any of their client pictures of the deck!

cedar deck added onto the rear of my seattle home expanding 20 ft and extending out 10 ft. This deck about doubled the size of our previous deck so you can imagine how glad and excited we are for this spring to have BBQ on it with family and friends. Luckily our deck didn't need to have permits because it was under 3 ft off the ground. We received a discount to get into their schedule and doing this deck now as opposed to waiting and we are glad we took the deal. It wasn't my cheapest bid although I liked these guys the most by far and they were fair every step of the way

This company kept the framing on our deck because it was pressure treated and still usuable. We have a fairly small deck and didn't see any need to replace the underneath beams. What a difference this made from our old cedar boards. We are most excited to not have to maintain the boards every spring!

Siding was replaced on my home from the old terrible LP siding and replaced with the new fiber cement board by james hardie. our experience with Modernized exteriors was a great one to say the least. They were very upfront with us about everything including the amazing deal they have with the factory and their installers. We love the new siding!

Recently just built us a amazing Irowood deck. Or I cause the name for it is IPE. anyhow we contracted with this company to come out and give us a estimate. When they showed up they showed us samples of the trex decking material that we were thinking about. Once they pulled out there ipad and suggested the hardwood decks our minds were made up. We knew this deck was going to cost tens of thousands of dollars so we didn't want it to look like every other deck like our neighbors we wanted something special. When we dreamed up how it was going to look and settled on a price the architect came out and drew it up. When everything was all done we loved it. We are having all our family over and cant wait to show off our new purchase. These guys are definitely capable of building something amazing. Ironwood Deck approx. 385 sq ft roughly $43,000

Paid 50$ thinking I would at the very least get design plans whether I went with them or not. Nothing. I paid 50$ for an estimate. Wont make that mistake again.

Sliding Glass Door 6 ft wide with grids was 2500 installed.6 ft fiberglass French door installed about $5,000.We opted to have both done.The installation was excellent. Top Notch Products.

We were not happy with the extra costs that this company wanted to charge.

Replaced the sliding glass door that went to the deck as well as a full decking replacement as our deck wasn't built to code. they did a excellent job and were a pleasure to work with.

I was very satisfied with them; they were nice, they setup on time and did good work-it is a great looking deck.

We were considering a new roof because we were going to have solar installed. They came out and looked at the roof and gave us information on where it might need work. The quote they gave was double the amount of the company we went with in the end.

I purchased a big deal coupon for pre-colored siding installation. However, during estimate, company wanted to charge extra for painting. Several other charged applied that totally negated any saving from the coupon.

When we first called Modernized Exteriors (M.E.) we reached there office where there receptionist took our information down answered a couple of our questions. They let us know that the owner was in another appointment right now and he would contact me when he was done Sure enough one hour later I received a call and we scheduled up a time for my husband and myself to meet with him. He was extremely helpful and meausered up all of the windows in our home. We prioritized a couple different options and ended up going with the whole house because of the volume discount. they were great and showed us how their windows differ from some of the others we have seen on the market. We were in love. We ordered them up that day and they let us know that our windows would be installed within 3-5 weeks as they will be getting custom ordered. The install was complete and they walked us around the house and showed us how they operate. I have reffered them to multiple friends and family.

Replaced all of our siding on the outside of our seattle home including the soffits and the trim. The crew was extremely helpful and did a excellent job with our home. The crew worked hard and was on time every single day which amazed me because I was late to work twice that week :(. These guys are really top notch

This outfit came out and did our siding as well as our windows. They were the only bid that we got even though we were going to get 2. After the appointment we called and cancelled our second appointment. because we knew that the guys at modernized exteriors were going to be the right ones for the job. We really appreciated that we didn't have to hire two different contractors to do the job. They were very efficient friendly and did amazing work!

Was a good experience and worked out well. Happy with the new look of the house and the work that was done.

It turned out good but scheduling does take a long time with them.

The estimator had a sheet with products and pricing to let us design our deck a la carte. It was a good sales experience. Not the least expensive bid we got, but we wanted quality more than we wanted a cheap deck. We chose Tigerwood, and it is stunning. Everyone who has stepped on the deck has marveled about it. We have so far referred two other friends to Modernized Exteriors to have their deck done. The roof was a different crew than the deck guys and their work is equally impressive. To be quite honest, we had 90% made the decision to go with this contractor based on Angies List reviews alone, so when they came out with a fair price it was a done deal.

It went well. The estimator showed up on time and was clean and friendly. I was given a price the first day for my job. I agreed to a price to have my decking boards replaced and new railings. The structural lumber underneath was still good. The building crew showed up on time as well and worked hard until the job was complete. The crew also cleaned up at the end of the job. This company is top of the line and I had a first rate experience. It meant a lot that everyone was always on time because my schedule is tight. I will call them back to do more siding soon. These gentleman came out and did our homes window replacement.We had got three bids and Modernized Exteriors was actually our highest of the three bids. Probably because they sat down with us and gave us all our options. oops I think we have expensive taste but we really loved the attention the guys that came to our home gave us.The difference between the window that modernized exteriors recommended and the other companies was huge. Their window could be painted on the exterior. The windows were double hung. And the window even came with a insulated foam frame . They came out measured up our windows and even showed us the efficiency of the windows with a heat lamp that they brought in from the truck. I could finally see the difference between my old single pane and the new triple pane filled windows. The process was seamless and they were even able to save my interior trim on my windows from 90 years ago. We are extremely happy we chose the premium frame and never thought how much we really love opening our up and Down windows from the top.
