About us

Larry's Volvo is a family run independent car repair shop specializing in Volvos located in the heart of Seattle's Beacon Hill neighborhood. Larry's Volvo was founded in 1980 by Larry Hebert, a dealership technician and then service manager since the early 1960s. Larry's fair pricing and honest service spread through word of mouth by his loyal customers, which allowed him to retire in 1995. Warren Moy the current owner of Larry's Volvo decided to take over the business after careful consideration by Larry to make sure the quality and integrity of his business was kept.

Description of Work: This is an early review for Warren's shop (he bought it from "Larry" long ago). I just got my Volvo 760Turbo wagon back after having the front seals, timing belt and tensioner, drive belts, turbo oil drain seal, oil cooler seals and transmission tailshaft bushing and seal replaced. Whew! This car had alot of oil leaking and having bought it used I had no idea of service records. Well, Warren got the car on Monday and it was ready for pickup on Wednesday. Reasonable prices given all the work that was done although parts prices always seem high to me. Warren has a special for 10% off the first service and he was true to his word and took it off the bill. Excellent first experience. Thank you Warren.

I've been taking my car there for quite some time and they are great. I never have to wait to get in and the service is fantastic. They do what they have to do and nothing more. I like that.

The service was always good and the price seemed always reasonable -especially when compared to my experiences at the volvo dealer in Tukwila. In general Larry's seems to be interested in maintaining long term relationships with satisfied customers. Their location close to a bus stop is especially convenient to me; I drop off my car in the morning, continue on via bus to my work downtown, then return by bus in the afternoon to pick up my car. Have never had any problems with their service.
Description of Work: I have two volvos and have used them about 5-6 times for routine preventative maintenance and repairs over the last 3-4 months.

THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. WE HAVE AN OLDER DIESEL VOLVO WHICH NOT MANY PLACES WORK ON AND THEY GAVE US AN ESTIMATE AND STUCK TO IT. THE CAR RUNS GREAT AND WE WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANY VOLVO OWNER.
Description of Work: REBUILT TOP END OF THE ENGINE, GROUND DOWN THE VALVES, PUT ON A NEW TIMING BELT.
