 + 0 moreEverything was done quickly and very satisfactorily. I had been given a bad fixture at the hardware store and had to drive some 10miles to find another one. He quickly determined what was wrong and tested to confirm. He was scarcely delayed in leaving as he worked on information for future projects that I had asked about while I was exchanging the fixture. This was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a contractor working inside my house. Amazing. We will definitely pursue some other projects in the very near future as we know exactly what to expect. Also, maybe it's economy, but the time to get an appointment was very short. We're not in the dark anymore. Thanks.
Description of Work: Replace two round flourescent fixtures in the downstairs family room that had quit working. Also, replace two 4' 2 light flourescent strips recessed into the ceiling downstairs that hadn't worked for a long time. We also got some information on a convection wall panel for supplemental heat downstairs and information for a possible circuit breaker panel upgrade as well. Very happy to get the information and an idea of cost and options.

 + -1 moreThe lights were blowing out everytime I used my microwave. They investigated the issue and it turned out my newer microwave was not getting the power it needed. They also found an outlet which the wires were burning and could have perhaped caused a fire. I had no way of knowing this, but I was glad he found this. They were very professional, on time, and nice. I dont feel I can grade them on "price" since I did not have any other quotes to compare it to.

The Angie's List discount is nice as well. They were able to explain several different options with their associated prices and after choosing what I wanted done that day they completed the job in about two hours. I'll be using them for future projects.

I called up Eagle and they promptly came out and gave me a quote and then showed up a few days later and completed the job in one day. I was very impressed as I have been working with a bunch of contractors and they really stood out above of the rest in all aspects. Great job guys.

 + -1 moreThey are always a pleasure to work with, and generally very responsive. They give you a price up front, which is nice so you know what you're getting into. Every one of the electricians who's come out has been friendly and courteous and really seems to care about the quality of his work and whether I'm a happy customer. They are also usually able to be very flexible to work with my schedule--the only problem I've had was in scheduling a fairly major but non-urgent job (which wasn't completely their fault, as it was around the holiday/snowstorm time). All in all, I've been very pleased with Eagle and will continue to consider them "my" electricians.
Description of Work: I've used Eagle for several problems and projects: installing a circuit for a microwave, diagnosing a tripping breaker, installing outside lighting, and adding a new outside receptacle.

Description of Work: Added a junction box where an old lighting fixture was on my front porch. They came the next day and provided a solid estimate upfront. The work was completed in less than an hour and they cleaned up as well. Very professional gentleman.

 + -1 moreIt went well. They arrived on time, performed the work, and cleaned up after themselves. They were not able to repair one of the sconces, which is a fixture original to my 1913 house. It's being repaired at Rejuvenation now and I will be calling Eagle again soon to put it back in place. The only bad point was that apparently the technicians who had used the truck the day before had not replaced some of the basic tools/items so they had to go to the store a couple of times. It took a little longer than I thought it would.
Description of Work: Trade out of 4 chandeliers (I already had the new fixtures); repair of electrical outlet; installation of a dedicated outlet for a treadmill in our basement.

 + -1 moreI can't rave enough about how great this company was. Our circuit blew and broke one of the breakers the day before the big snow storm. One of the company technicians talked me through trying to restore electricity to my house late at night during a snow storm. Then when no other electric company could make it to my house(not even the Electric Company down the hill, a 5 minute walk from my house)they send out two technicians through heavy snowfall to fix my electricity and charged a great rate. I applaud this company for great service. Thank you Eagle Electric, I will now be a loyal customer for life, and refer you to everyone.

 + -1 moreWe like them a lot and they're very prompt. They put booties on their feet when they come into my house so it stays clean and tidy. They were very accurate in their estimation. They're very pleasant to deal with. There were 4 or 5 different workers and David Lind was the head guy. He was just delightful. They made an error and threw and outside light fixture away that we wanted to keep. They replaced it with something much nicer than we had. They were very forthcoming with information because there was a lot of detail in what they were going to do. They explained why they were going to place the outside lights were they needed to be. They were very informative about using halogen lights as opposed to regular outdoor lights and what the difference is. When they came to do the panel that was the most expensive work they did. Again, it was a lot of information and they answered all my questions. They were polite and it was an enjoyable experience. The crew was great. They ran into a couple of problems with the outside lights and the panel, but explained all that and didn't charge extra. They charge by the job, not the hour. We felt we got a very fine job done when it was completed.
Description of Work: They've done quite a bit of work for us. We needed some motion sensor lights done on the outside of the house. That was the first thing we had them do. Then we needed a new electrical panel and they put one in. That was the second thing they did.

Description of Work: We got a call Christmas evening that our rental property had a problem with the breaker box, arcing and smelling of hot burning wiring. The fire department was also called to check out the house. Greg came out and explained in detail his findings: A panel, which are on the fire watch list as hazardous panels. It was showing signs of a lot of rust on the meter and mast. At least 4 breakers were damaged, Burning themselves out. One of them had a hole in the middle of the breaker, all smelled very bad. I was pleased with the initial dispatch fee and the flat rate fee per diagnosis. Greg, Josh and Dave arrived and took care of Puget Power, permits and replaced and moved the box on the inside and out. It wasn't the best of conditions with the snow and very cold, by 5:00 that evening the house was up to code and the generator ready in case of any other emergencies and the technicians made sure the heat was on so when the occupants walked in the home it was warming up for them. I felt very comfortable with Greg, Josh and Dave in the professional manner every detail was handles. I had a few insurance issues and Eagle Electric, Dave, was more than patient with me in handling the final details.

They performed the work quickly and professionally. They also inspected my electrical panel, and gave me an assessment of my wiring and what needed to be addressed in the future. They were clean, reasonably priced, and straightforward. A good experience.
Description of Work: I have a 1950's house with mostly 2 prong ungrounded outlets. I needed one of those outlets to be converted to a 3 prong grounded receptacle.

Description of Work: When I called Eagle, I thought I had a relatively small project. They found significant hazardous electrical conditions(I verified their findings before proceeding)and gave a very reasonable bid to do the work. It involved a new panel, a generator, moving the meter and a number of smaller items. In the process, they inadvertently tripped the earthquake gas shut-off. They took quality care with the work and professional responsibility for all segments of the project, including the gas issue. I would use them again and recommend them highly.

 + -1 moreIt was easy to schedule an appointment with them, both over the phone and on their website. The technician Greg was very honest and straightforward with us and we got an upfront price so there were no financial surprises. Because our situation was an interesting problem to solve, the technician called over the business owner, Dave, who came by within a few minutes to offer a second opinion. Both guys were very friendly and relaxed and explained our options in layman's terms, which helped us make an informed decision. When it came to the work, the technician and his apprentice showed up on time and worked late to make sure we had electricity by the evening, then came back the next day to complete the work. Their work was clean and professional and they were very good with communication via phone while the work was being done. I would say the best thing about these guys is that they give a fair price up front and are more interested in doing a quality job that they can be proud of than making tons of cash.
Description of Work: My husband and I purchased an old home which had been well-maintained, but needed some considerable upgrading from old systems, including several which had been "revamped" by a previous owner's handyman who did sub par work. Eagle Electric came in and rewired our circuits and gave us a new breaker panel, a new 125 amp service, and moved our service entrance and meter to a more appropriate place on the house where it no longer blocks our sunroom windows and lays on the roof of the house! The work involved cutting holes in the finished basement ceiling drywall in order to pipe the wires across the room to the exterior wall where the new service entrance is located.
