They were wonderful. We spent about $3900 on the job and we really liked them. The salesman helped us choose the right floor sample to match what we had. This is an older home, so we felt fortunate that it matched. They were prompt, easy to deal with and the installers were wonderful and it was a really good transaction.

They came out to give an estimate. However, apparently they carry very little good quality nylon carpeting. It appears that they carry mostly "recycled plastic" (in the salesman's words) carpet. It felt exactly like that, plastic. If you're looking for mid to low end carpet, try Empire Today. If not, try somebody else.

When I called to order the service, the gentleman I spoke with did not seem to have knowledge of the service. He contradicted my wants and seemed to know better than me what I wanted. I said that I wanted to speak to the person that would be coming before they came so that we could specify what kind of samples I wanted to see. My interaction with him left a bad taste in my mouth, but I was willing to overlook that. They never called before the appointment, which I specifically asked for. I decided that I didn't want this to be a battle, so I called them to cancel my appointment for today. The first man that I spoke with was pleasant, but couldn't help me. I was transferred to a woman who said she needed my contact information in order to cancel. I told her that my phone number should be enough, but she insisted that I give her all of my information all over again. I told her that I just would not answer the door when they arrived. In the future I would choose a company that has a showroom so that I am in more control of the situation.

Very convenient that they come to your house and can process the order of several different materials at once. There are lots of choices, but not overwhelming like in some of the home improvement stores. Very personalized service -- the sales rep spent four house at our house helping us place the order. The installers were always on time, very tidy and courteous, although none of them spoke English well. When we had some minor damage, Empire was very responsive and fixed one concern and reimbursed us for the other. We were very pleasantly surprised by the service provided. Would love to see them expand and offer more "green" products. Otherwise, we were very satisfied and our floors look great.

We expected a hard sell with such a large company, but the process was painless. We were quite happy with them, and their price was actually $1000.00 less than expected. The salesman was very positive.

It was not a good experience. They tried to sell us their carpets at twice the price that they ended up after we said that we did not want to use them a million times. It was awful. They did some high pressure sales till we told them that they would have to go. We will not use them in the future and we will tell everybody not to use them.

We are very happy with our experience with Empire Today. All the people were very professional and easy to deal with. The product is good, and the installation couldn't have been done better. The installers went out of their way to do a superior job. They cleaned up after they finished, and helped move all the furniture back into place. They worked very hard for ten hours. We were amazed that they were able to complete the installation in one day.

Everything was excellent. They took out the carpet and tore the old floor out. Everything was done in a timely manner and they did it in one day. They had to stay late to do it. They could have opted to come back the next morning but they chose to stay late and do it. It was a big job. It looks nice and is holding up very well. We have got kids and dogs and it is standing up well to that. I thought the price was reasonable. We could have gotten it cheaper if we had gone to other places, but I don't think we would have got the installation. They moved the furniture and everything. We didn't have to do anything.

They did an excellent job. They were very prompt and priced well. There was a little problem and they fixed it immediately.

The price was good but we didn't end up using them. We ended up tearing out the carpet and refinishing the hardwood floors underneath.

Greg showed up at 6:45 in the 5 to 7 window. We showed him the existing hardwoods that we wanted to match. He immediately narrowed the samples down to what would work and explained the difference in quality. He then measured the area and gave us an estimate. It was the first estimate we received but it seemed high. He took about $1200 off that price and explained that our project was very labor intensive because of the stairs and small spaces, but that he wanted our business. My husband and I have a hard time getting away from work, so it was worth a certain amount for us to have an installer come soon and when it worked for us, which Empire did. The installers were on time and did a great job. There was very little residual dust when they were finished. The only hitch was that it took longer than expected. The original time estimate was one day and the installers worked from 8am to 9pm the first day then had to come back the second day from 7:30 to 3:30. But overall, we are really happy with the floors. I checked Lowe's and think we got a great deal on the materials and with the extra day, think that the labor was more than fair.

It was excellent experience and I would recommend them to others.

No work performed, although I like the idea of their reported rapid response. If only they performed the service I need in my area. I have called a couple of local companies and await their call back.

The salesman (Joel)was super and eager to help and work with me.They were very responsive, professional, and wanted to make sure that I was completely satisfied.

The company they subcontracted the istallation to,All Floors Solutions LLC did do an outstanding job. Over all I am satisfied with the carpet, installation and price. I just did not like the salesman, Kie Fannin.

They were very good. They came out the day after I called and installed the following day. The estimate was very close to their final price. They were very professional.

The Empire sales rep showed up the following day and presented samples of their product line. Because of the amount of staining to the existing carpet they referred us to a third party vendor who could remove the old carpet down to the sub-floor and seal the sub-floor. Once the sealing was done the Empire installation techs came and installed the laminate flooring, which only took one day. The laminate flooring has held up well and still looks great one year later. We took advantage of the one year no payments and no interest financing, plus they also offered a senior discount.

The quality of the carpet was not as nice as the carpet at another independent business we visited, however, we felt that if we could get a good deal, it may be worth it. Instead we were quoted twice as much and then pressured into committing to a "once in a lifetime" offer. The consultant had gone down to almost half her original price by the end of the evening and talking to her "boss" on her cell phone.

Terrible. I had him bid my carpet, about 650 square feet to be put in on a certain day 8 days later. He bid $3400 for next day service. I explained that I did not want next day service I wanted a certain day 8 days later. He said he could not do that. So I asked him to put his bid down on paper and I would think about it. He wrote in pencil on a back of envelope $3400 and handed it to me. I said you have got to be kidding, he said no, He doesnt give out bids on paper and that was it. I told him goodbye. A few days later went to Home depot got a bid for $1700 installed on the day I wanted for the same exact carpet. I went with Home Depot, who did a great job and I have been warning people about this company since. BUYER BEWARE!

Three guys, 90 minutes, it was great! They did a wonderful job.

Six tiles were laid in the wrong pattern. It took a few trips for them to acknowledge that, but they came back out and relaid tile. Unfortunately, I have a washer/dryer in the bathroom as well and they failed to connect the outside hose, which I discovered a half hour later when I did a load of laundry. I didnt catch the rinse finish in time and the floor was soaked. To their credit, though, they came back and ripped up floors and carpeting, brought in a carpet cleaning company to dry the floors, redid the floor AND gave me new bedroom carpeting because the water had seeped two feet into the bedroom.

It took longer than estimated, but other than that it was OK.

The salesperson was professional and knowledgeable. The pitch is that Empire sells carpet from the top three manufacturers (Shaw, Mohawk, and Coronet). Overall, I was satisfied with the experience. However, a couple things worth noting. First, Empire doesnt disclose the price of the carpet samples, but rather waits until you select a carpet to provide an all encompassing price for the job. Frankly, I was expecting to save a lot of money by buying "warehouse direct". $3,500 for three bedrooms doesnt feel like a very good deal to me, but hey, its what I signed up for, so I cant blame them. MY ADVICE IS TO GET A COUPLE ESTIMATES BEFORE CALLING EMPIRE. Secondly, I was under the impression that I was buying a Shaw, Mohawk or Coronet carpet because those were the manufacturers discussed. Looking back at the purchase order, I cant tell you what I ended up with (its not listed), which I find interesting. I can tell you that it appears to be very nice carpet.

Empire Today was a good company. They were very responsive, and they negotiated a price with me because the initial estimate was a bit high. They worked with me to get the work and gave me a very reasonable price.

The salesperson came to my home. They offered various samples which I chose on the visit. They installed the product within a matter of a few days. The salesperson went above and beyond his duties to assure customer satisfaction. Following the installation, he came to my home to visit with me about the project and results. I do not wish to state the cost as it is not relative.
