I was hoping to have the stump pulled. But i learned that it's not likely without a backhoe to remove a four foot maple stump. I dug out out and used a sawzall to cut the main roots, 4 to 12 inches. Then realized it was still a difficult and dangerous job ahead so i hired a professional with a large grinder. It went quick without the risk to my truck or buried water or power lines.

Very polite, responsible and did a great job. Have really great equipment to remove stumps.

Neil and his team are amazing! I called to leave a voicemail at 5:34 p.m. on a Friday night, and he answered on the 2nd ring! Surprise! Then he agreed to visit the next morning (Saturday) at 11 a.m. Wow! His bid for cutting trees, chipping branches, leaving rounds, and grinding stumps was half of our highest bid - plus we scheduled the work for that Thursday! No other company was as responsive, available and affordable as Pacific Coast Stump Grinding. The challenging job was done quickly, safely, and cleanly, so we couldnâ t be happier. We hired this company to come out because we had a whole bunch of stumps on our property. The minute I put in a request the owner Neil came right out and gave us a quote. When I was ready I let him know and he was out there 2 days later. The moment he came out we knew we hired the right guy. He was extremely accommodating, super professional and super quick. In the middle of getting the job done his machine broke down and within 20 mins a service tech was right out and got it up and running. He finished the job and even got some stumps we had missed in our count. He even offered to clean up all the shavings when he was done even after being here all day which we declined as we could do that part ourselves but just the offer was shocking. From start to finish I couldnâ t recommend Neil and his company enough!!!

Started out very well but that soon ended. They hit a boulder while grinding the first stump which fried their machine. He then wanted me to pay to have it repaired. I feel when people in that profession accept a job they should know what the possibilities of problems could be. I am sure my property is not the only property with boulders in the ground I did not put them there! They put off coming for several weeks(I had to call to get them back. They did not remove all the roots ( I tried to plant some small plants and had to dig around roots). I did not complain figured they were hesitant because of the boulder situation. I still had another stump to grind texted again after 3 months and they said they would come had been out of the country for a death in the family. I accepted that. When his son came he said they came with the wrong grinder and would come the following Tuesday which is today. He is denying that was said and said he would refund my money. Now is arguing about what amount he should refund me. I am not going to argue with him nor am I ever going to refer or hire him. His communication with customers is very bad as well as his demeanor when he is called on it. The first day he was here was very good and then it just went from bad to worse! The worst experience I have ever had working with someone I hired!
