She is a crook. Plain and simple. I know she finally shut the company down, because of her negative reviews and ****** off clients. That doesn't change the fact that she would steal from her own mother. We never got a copy of the updated contract when we changed the sale date, she said "we wouldn't need it". She promised an inventory of everything sold and price sold for, we got nothing. She brought her daughter's and her own crap to sell after I told her I did not approve that. She did ZERO advertising, and when I confronted her about it, she claimed she posted it in several places, I asked for the proof....nothing. She ended up taking our furniture to use for future staging jobs - no clue if she paid us anything for it. She took ALL of my jewelry home with her "to organize and price".....that jewelry never made it back to the estate sale. She trash talked me and my husband to people attending the sale, not knowing they were my neighbors and they were in real time, texting me with exactly what she was saying. She promised us about $10K total for our entire house furnishings, shed and outdoor patio living items. We got a check for $2800. She also said that she would be the only person there. When I showed up a couple hours prior to sale end time (due to the texts I was getting), her daughter and granddaughter were there, her granddaughter laying on my daughter's bed watching TV (which she should have sold). This woman is a psychotic fake. I am still thinking about pressing charges for fraud and theft.

My husband wanted to write the below with me and just stick to facts, no recriminations, no she said-she said-he said... If the company would like to respond in another manner, we will be amenable to get down to more of the details also! A+... This provider removed 2,000 +/- sq ft of beautiful, some of it expensive, furniture, artwork, oriental carpet orig $16,500, hundreds of decorator items, exercise equipment (just to tell you the quality of our items) misc goods for charity, as well as the trash in an expeditious manner!! F for all the below reasons: No inventory of the vast amount of merchandise taken, nor did the company provide an accurate running list of what sold and for what price. We received a VERY basic sheet that had totals on it for June, July and August, plus 14 items sold on Craig's list. Our belongings were taken May 10, 2013 and our account was closed out in September. We received 2 tax receipts from Value Village and another from Goodwill plus $3,100.00. We didn't expect THAT much more, this being consignment, but we WERE disappointed in the small amount of sales... Even in a bad economy... (We'd just moved up from Scottsdale AZ and had put over 5,000 sq ft of furniture, etc like this with Airpark Consignment. Had a great experience. We thought we had lots of consignment/estate experience.) This whole experience, except for the first day, was unexpectedly bad. Very limited communication on the part of the company and when it was initiated by member to see what was happening, owner was defensive and argumentative. We feel our behavior is understandable when someone drives off with almost half of everything you've worked for, own and love! It's understandable to wonder about it. We feel that somehow we fell through the cracks. ********** READ this member's other reviews if you want to get a flavor of this member's state of mind! We just moved, so we've used quite a few vendors lately!!! This is killing us to write a negative review and we waited over a week to write it.
Description of Work: This provider removed enough merchandise from our house to completely pack a 24 foot van and had the need to put overflow into the provider's truck. We downsized from 5,000 sq ft to 3,000 sq ft and needed to remove what we couldn't take to our new, smaller home. Our home needed to be sparking clean and empty for the tenants moving in. Our friends joked that our home was like a museum, packed full of hundreds, if not thousands, of artifacts and unusual, beautiful items from all over the world. When she was done, it sparkled! We were thrilled that what had seemed insurmountable earlier in the day had been accomplished!

Response from Kitten Creek Estate Sales Inc
If any one reading this would like to see the emails that were written by this person then we will be glad to share with them. We told them when we picked up the items that the most money we would get would be $8,000 dollars for all the items. We told her to keep the rug and that we would be lucky to get $1,000 (we got $800)after taking it to several sales. She said at the time that she knew she would not get very much from it and to go ahead and take it. She tells you that she paid one price but tells us in her own email a different price. In fact several times she stated during the pickup for consignment that she just needed to get rid of all the remaining items in her house because she was renting out the home right away. The only reason we brought a 24 foot truck was due to a very tall bed and it was the only truck that would accommodate it. We were to only pick up about ten pieces of furniture but when they found out that we could take other things they were very happy. We did not fill up the 24 foot truck. We did not have the proper packing material to stack things in the truck so it covered the floor of the truck you could easily see all the walls of the truck. I placed several breakable items and several art pieces in my truck so that they would not break because we did not know we were picking up any of these items so were not prepared for packing them. We were about 2-3 hours away from the office so we could not come back with additional packing material. We took this consignment because she told us that she had cancer and that she was going to die within months and that she did not want to leave any work for her husband. Having a father who died of cancer I went out of my way to get her need taken care of as quickly as possible. I have letters and emails to myself and to another company written by (removed member name) stating that I should run for president on how I took care of everything. I also had crazy phone calls wondering why all things had not sold yet and calls wondering why I sold her things to fast. All I can say to you is when people are under stress because there is something going on in their lives they for some reason want to take it out on people who at all times had their best interest. This is a client who would not communicate and insisted that I give her all the money. When I told her no that we had a contract she stated she would ruin me. The other review that I have on Angie's List is a client that not only use me but used me 3 more times within two years.

The overall experience was great! My mother needed to put her house on the market and it needed to be prepared for sale. A large part of this preparation was to clear the house of many household items including some large pieces of furniture. Kitten Creek was recommended to us so we gave them a call. They came out two days later to do an estimate and were handling our estate sale within two weeks time. They left our house in great shape and ready for final deep cleaning in preparation for sale.
Description of Work: Kitten Creek Estate Management set up and hosted an estate sale for my mother. They required no money up front (they take between 30-50% of the gross receipts from the sale) and were very friendly and professional. They organized everything in the house and held the sale, then cleaned out the remaining items in just 7 days. We received our cut of the receipts just 3 days after the sale was complete, with a detailed invoice. We were delighted and will recommend them to others.
