Impressed with the level of service and knowledge of the technician who serviced my furnace. He answered my questions and even explained to me how to assess the savings I'd find through buying a new furnace. He didn't try to sell me anything, just did his job and answered my questions and didn't rush me. However, two weeks later the furnace started blowing cold air. This has happened before and I knew the flame sensor was dirty but was surprised that it hadn't been cleaned during servicing. I called the company and explained what had happened, they took my information but didn't call back. I even wrote them an e-mail to explain what had happened and again didn't receive a response. I guess my expectation was that they would acknowledge the error and apologize, explain how they were adjusting their process so this won't happen to other customers. And then....I got out my sandpaper, turned off the furnace, removed the flame sensor, cleaned it myself and said a couple of choice words. I'd use the company again if they would explain why this was missed and what they were doing to fix it since I think the technician was great. I think their service checklist may just need to be adjusted...But, if I never hear back, I'll probably go with another company next year.

Rhett called to let me know he was on his way. He arrived on time. He went about his business without delay and seemed very knowledgable about my furnace. He left paperwork about the work he had done.

Used an Angie's List Big Deal. Easy to book, technician, Rhett, was prompt. Worked quickly and gave me valuable information for upkeep.

They have yet to schedule an appointment over the past 4 months. They have been responsive but keep pushing the date back. I have chosen to use another company.

It took a few days to get all the options squared away, but it all worked out.

I purchased this deal in November, but they were not able to perform the service until late January. That is a long time. The tech's name and cell number were provided in advance which was real nice. The tech was exactly on time, very friendly and knowledgeable. He was informative and went over the whole furnace and pointed out a couple of slight problems, but was not the least bit pushy about trying to upsell service or telling me that I needed to urgently address any issues. I am not sure what was done in terms of service or cleaning.

The technician arrived on time and performed the task accordingly. The company installed the heat pump and provided an annual inspection since 2008. This company has demonstrated exceptional competency in skills and knowledge. The Angie's Deal ($59.00) was a saving on the cost of the annual inspection.

Worker came to the door - was about 10 mins late but that was fine. Told me it would take 20-25 min but was about 30 min and when he was done - showed me where I had problems (cracks) He told me how much it would be to repair/replace it. He had me feel where the problem was. He was a nice guy.

Our furnace was going out every year, so we figured we'd have universal come out and take a look. AS suspected the mainboard was fried....again. So we opted for a new more efficient furnace. The estimate was free, on time, and had 3 different options. Even their most expensive option (2 stage 95% Furnace Variable Fan) was still under buget even with labor etc. They said it would take a day, they were in and out in maybe 5-6 hours? That included the tutorial on how to work the new wireless thermostat etc. I'd absolute recommend them to anyone; and will be using them again should I need HVAC work done.

I bought a Big Deal off Angie's List for a furnace servicing and filter cleaning. They showed up right on time. As they went through the service they noticed a few issues, so they grabbed me and walked me through each of them while clearly explaining each issue in a way that I understood (I'm not a HVAC mechanic for a reason). They spent about 30 minutes or so on site then left me with a little one page summary of what they did and what they found.

Service was great. We will have them back again for general service and other gas appliance needs.

He was a nice guy and he has done a great job.

a puget power rep had taken a look at my furnace and said it looked great but could use a good cleaning so I bought this deal on angies list. it took about six phone calls to reach a person to schedule the appt. she then wanted to schedule my appt for about three months out. after i pushed, she agreed to an appt six weeks out. the service guy showed up right on time and went to work. he said my furnace was the dirtiest he had ever seen and then told me he had bad news. he said my heat exchangers were cracked and they needed to be replaced for $1800 but he recommended that I get a new furnace for $3000-$5000. he said he had to shut off my furnace because it was leaking Carbon Monixide into my house. I asked him to show me the crack and he showed me a little slit on what he called the heat exchanger. when I asked if it could be sealed instead of he replaced he said, "no we replace them." he left and i turned my furnace back on. I went to ace hardware and bought a top of the line CO detector. There is no CO in my house and my furnace is working great. in addtion to being difficult to comunicate with intially, I think this company tried to scam me for a lot of money and i dont think they belong on angies list.

They were pretty good. They were telling me about my furnace. I thought they were very professional. They came in and did their job. They told me exactly what they did and what my furnace needed. There were two fellas that came. They thought I needed another furnace, but I am not getting another furnace. It is still working. I had a lot of service calls from it, but it is working fine now for the time being. It was a big deal. The quality of their service was good. They came right away, and they were on time.

It went well. We checked the situation where he recommended the intake pipe and found it to be unneeded.

Service performed was satisfactory however, there seems to be a slight whistling noise emanating from inside when the furnace kicks on.

Service rep Rhett was on time. He was friendly, courteous, and professional. He listened to and ansered my questions. Also asked questions about any problems, if any, that I was having with my furnace. I told him of a ratteling sort of noise coming from somewhere in the furnace. He concluded that it was not coming from the fan motor but rather from vibration of the ducting. He suggested adding additional straps to further secure the ducting. The furnace itself was given an O.K. all around.

We bought an on-line deal at a discount, we scheduled an appointment and the repair/inspection person arrived on time and completed the job in a timely manner.

I called Rhett prior to his arrival to ask whether he had filters or whether that was something I needed to provide. He assured me that he had filters with him. He arrived promptly at the scheduled time and completed the required maintenance without incident. He took time to answer my questions and showed me how to install the filter. He was pleasant and courteous.

Rhett, the technician, was here on time and very pleasant to talk to. He answered all my questions and seemed very knowledgeable in what he was doing. I would not hesitate to have him back again.
