Maintenance man arrived on time and quickly did his work, providing an update on the equipment when finished. This is the second time we've had this service performed and have been happy with the professionalism of the firm and its employees.

The technician had a little trouble getting my furnace to turn back on, but eventually did.

UMS offered a great deal to service the furnace of our new house. It was about $200 LESS than the servicer we used at our old house, for the same service, so we were very pleased. We will be using UMS again.

The technician showed up on time, was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. He performed the tune up quickly and I was emailed a copy of his write up almost instantly after it was finished.

Zach the technician showed up, got to work, was quick efficient and courteous. Have used this company many times. Will use them again without hesitation.

They were very nice and gave me a bid for moving my A/C unit.

Technician (Rhett) did a thorough job. Did a visual check of the gas furnace and hot water heater. Also cleaned filters. A good value.

They are wonderful. I like them a lot. They provide good service. They were really courteous, they show me about the disconnected wire that's why I wasn't getting air conditioning and he put it back together. Everything else is running properly.

We were quite happy however, it took them awhile to get to us. We have to wait quite awhile for them and I didn't like that but it worked out alright.

I purchased one outdoor electrical outlet installation for the holiday lighting season for $79.00. The electricians arrived on-time and were very professional. I inquired about an additional outlet installation and the electricians stated they would honor the price of $79.00 for the second installation as well. I was very pleased with this. They also provided me with several different installation options and allowed me to choose which one best fit my needs. Overall, I had a very good experience with Universal Mechanical Service Co Inc.

It went well. They did a good job and gave us some good information.

UMS was very quick to return my internet query regarding setting up a time for an AC estimate, and the employee sent was both punctual and professional. Unfortunately, the estimate was well above (>$1k) the other estimates I've received, and the estimate was provided as three values for three separate units with no breakdown of the costs making it very hard to understand why they would be so much more expensive than their comparatively ranked Angie's List competitors. I'd definitely consider them in the future for other services, but I couldn't move forward with the install with such a huge discrepancy in cost.

It was good. They didn't show up for the first appointment. I called them before the coupon expired. They didn't leave a report because the furnace was new. They were on time. One technician came out.

Great!. I have used Universal the last two years and will continue to use them.

Zach came on time and did what he was supposed to do. I can't ask for more.

Bought the tune up special. the only note was that the filters that were provided as part of the package were of lower quality than the Ultras we usually use and had in there. We used them 3 months and then replaced them.

Although the tech arrived within 15 minutes of the appointment time, he didn't seem to do anything other than look over the furnace and run it through a couple of heating cycles; no cleaning/dusting/vacuuming. I assumed these things would be done as part of a routine tune-up. Also, he had to ask for help from another tech he brought when the unit starting making noise on the fan cycle, which is not normally used. Between the two of them, they figured out the problem was a faulty relay (on the fan only cycle) that would eventually fail in the future. They indicated that they would email me an estimate for the part and service and also the option of adding a/c to our existing furnace. It has been two weeks, since the appointment and I have not received the estimate. I have contacted the company at least once (a week ago) and they confirmed their estimator was going to send me the estimate within a few days. I have since followed-up again (by email) and am awaiting a response, but I'm not holding my breath!

They came out to do the work and found that our gas furnace wasn't working. They took a look at that and gave us a written estimate of $850 to replace the induction motor. We ended up not really utilizing the Angie's List's Big Deal for a tune-up and had the induction motor replaced with another provider who we've used before and quoted us lower than Universal.

technician seemed to know what he was doing (truthfully, how would I know?? I didn't stand and watch him). He did find a rat's nest in our A/C unit, which totally grossed me out, but that wasn't his fault. I would have liked him to have opened up the unit and pulled it out of there (rat was not there, it ran away when he pulled the cover off - I'm working on catching the little rascal). But he said he couldn't do that, that would cost me a $160 service call. Needless to say I'm going to see if I can figure that out myself... Overall I'm good with this service.

That turned out fine and we chose to have the furnace tune down. It took one technician about 30 minutes. Everything was straightforward, quick and easy.

The provider was punctual, did what the contract called for and outlined the pros and cons of the system. Unlike many other companies he did not try to needlessly sell me a new air conditioner, which was appreciated since I had just spent a bundle on a new gas furnace.

Checked the pressures and function of the A/C unit. I didn't expect a lot as I was mostly interested in determining if the unit would function properly this summer.

It was fine. They let us know that our furnace is old and could go out at anytime. It did go out. We got an estimate from them but it was expensive. It would have been nice if the price of the tune-up could have gone towards a new furnace.

I have used this company in the past and I'm very satisfied with their service.
