I called them up and they couldn’t get out right away and I had to wait for about 3 days for them to come out. I called them before they came out and found that they didn’t even have me on their list. When they came, they had trouble finding where the tank was until I showed them and then they dug the hole up and emptied it out. They pumped out my tank but I thought that their price was outrageous. They finally got the job done and did a good job.

We've used them before, so they had our records. When I called to ask for a service appt I asked the scheduler to look at our records. Based on our records, she quoted $440. The last time we used them the price was $315, but I understand price increases over time. I do not recall the scheduler telling me the price could be different than what she quoted. When the men arrived they told me it would be higher because a standard quote price is used over the phone. ??? I asked how long they would be there and they said about 45 minutes. They were done in 20 minutes and charged me $578. I did not understand the explanation I received for why the price was so much higher than quoted. I asked how they could give me a quote over the phone knowing the size of the system, and yet charge me so much more on site. The answer didn't make sense, especially since he said the pump chamber was only 500 gallons, not the 900 gallons listed on their previous invoice. This wouldn't prevent me from using them in the future, but I need further clarification on this from the company, as I think this is a communication issue.
Description of Work: They pumped our septic system. My husband dug the 3 holes in advance so all they had to do was lift the lids, which came off easily.

We're very pleased w/ Evergreen's service. They're large enough that you can get same-day or next-day service. Their phone operator asked for details so that the technicians came prepared with the proper equipment & parts to fix our problem. The appointment window was kept, with the technician calling 30-minutes prior to arriving, as promised. After diagnosing the problem, he drew up an accurate estimate of the charges for the needed work. The repair was completed efficiently and the work area was fully cleaned up, with all the old parts taken away. He also reviewed with me some suggestions for future septic maintenance.
Description of Work: The technician, after pumping out our overflowing septic tank & pump chamber, diagnosed a burned-out pump. He removed the old pump and installed a new one. He also checked all the electrical & plumbing connections.

They came in a said the pump was fine, but the drain field was not working properly. I wasted 900.00 for the 2 hours they were here and they didn't fix anything. They basically got the money out of me for no good reason. I called someone else and they found out I had a problem with roots going through my pipes.

In Aug 2007 the sewage alarm went off and we called Kingsgate Plumbing whom we had previously used and had a great reputation. They replaced the pump at a cost of about $1700 which included labor and a new pump. The system worked fine until July 2008 (11 months later). The alarm went off and we called Kingsgate who came out and reset the pump and said there was something wrong with the electrical system. They charged me $434.91; $125 to pump, $125 to troubleshoot, $125 to flip the circuit breaker plus fuel charges and tax. The bill came from Evergreen On Site/Series Seven, Inc. (We found out then that Kingsgate had been bought out by Series Seven). Though it seemed excessive, we paid the bill. They said the circuit breaker was weak. I had an electrician replace the circuit breaker. Two weeks later the sewage backed up into my basement. The alarm failed to go off. We called them back, they said the pump needed to be replaced. They said it failed 'because we replaced the breaker ! Since it had been less than a year it was supposed to be under warranty. A few days later they called my wife asking for credit card payment for $1796.32 which included labor and the pump. I protested that the pump should be under warranty but they said the manufacturer had refused. I insisted they provide me with the make, model #, serial # and a letter from the manufacturer. A couple of days later they conceded that the pump was indeed covered under warranty and sent me a new bill without the pump but they padded the bill for more labor and a float that was not on the original bill. The hand written invoices were nearly unreadable and they did not provide the make, model & serial # they promised me. I refused to pay the invoice until I received this information because I was suspicious. By this time I had received lots of feedback from the real estate industry in our area that Evergreen has a horrible reputation so I became even more cautious. Eventually they sent me the make & model number (but not the serial number). They then complained that they shouldn t honor the warranty because I was not the original owner (I have owned the property for 5 years - a matter of public record). They then said they were not responsible for Kingsgate Plumbing s installation because they only purchased the assets of the company and not its liabilities. The model number reveals they put in a smaller pump that costs 1/2 the amount they were trying to charge! Now I'm stuck with a pump that is undersized and will likely fail much sooner than it should. My 20 years in the electrical mechanical field gives me a thorough understanding of electrical systems and pumps. I could tell early on they were lying to me to rip me off. When they said they could not test resistance in the field, I knew they lacked good troubleshooting skills and they were just guessing, then trying to buffalo me.

They came out that afternoon and quickly identified the problem. The float mechanism had gotten caught up in the electrical wires hanging down and prevent the float from operating normally. The technician strapped the float mechanism securely and cable tied all electrical cables to avoid future tangle issues. The technician answered many of my questions about the condition of the system and maintenance that I can do myself. I graded B for price only because 200+ seems like a fair amount of money for such a quick repair, but in net I not only had the system repaired, but learned a great deal in the process. So, money well spent. I also learned that the company that pumped the system last was so lazy that he didn't properly seat the filter after pumping and some sludge crossed over into the pump chamber. Not enough to require a pumping, but some.
Description of Work: Our septic alarm started to sound one evening. The next morning, it was still in an alarm state, so I called Evergreen for repair services.

I felt like the company is an honest one. They weren't as prompt with the job then I would have liked. On the other hand they pumped our tank for free while they were holding us up since we needed a whole new one. It was a colossal upheaval, certainly on the property, and especially in January. But it's all recovered now.

To say that I was astonished and unhappy at the callousness of this company would be a huge understatement.
Description of Work: We bought a house with a septic system in Seattle. The septic report (issued by Evergreen for the real estate transaction) was entirely false. We discovered, upon moving into the house, that we had a completely failed septic system, due to a crushed concrete tightline between the tank and the drain field. I called Evergreen for an explanation, asking them why and how they could give a pass to a failed system. Their guy, Kevin Butler, explained that they always indicate septic systems are okay on real estate transaction reports, because they do not wish to expose themselves to "liability." So we have inherited a failed system because of their misrepresentations, and have contracted legal counsel to pursue a claim to what will be a very expensive fix. Buyer beware!

I called to have my septic tank pumped. I had never done this before, as I only bought a house with a septic tank for the first time a few years ago. I knew in general where where the tanks were but no idea how to proceed beyond that. Siarhei S. from Evergreen; arrived when expected and warned me that he would be charging extra to dig out the openings to the tank (as did the dispatcher). He did this carefully and exposed all three openings. He pumped out the tanks and then explained to me how he tested the water pump switch and tank overflow alarm. I watched him clean out all the valves and filters and assorted stuff. He put it all back very nicely. I felt that I really got some value out of this. I took pictures and next time I can do my own digging. I could not have done this on my own and really needed to hire their expertise. I recommend them to others and picked them because of Angie's List.
Description of Work: "Siarhei S." from Evergreen did the following for me during his visit. Searched for septic tank (I had a general drawing but no real idea where the covers were or how many there were). Dug to expose tank openings (he and the dispatcher warned that this would cost extra). Pumped tank cleaned exposed valves and filters. Tested floating water pump switch. Tested floating water pump alarm Replaced covers and put the dirt and landscaping back in place Explained to the owner (me) what he did.

After two days and no Brad or follow-up, I called again and was told by Sherri, that Brad was not coming out because "our drain field had failed" and he was designing us a new one. So, Brad had not been to the site, no examination of the D box had been done, but supposedly from their seeing the as-built and the word of two crew (who only poked around a bit), I needed a whole new drain field. I was never contacted by anyone of any authority, but their admin person argued that they did not want to waste my money on the D box since they knew I needed a new drain field. So I was to take the word of two crew, no visits by their on-site expert, no review of their findings or my options, and was to accept point blank that I needed a $2500 design and a complete new system that could easily be over $10,000. They were very arrogant and had horrible customer care. Even if I did need a new drain field, it is obvious this company has no regard for its clients, so I have gone elsewhere for help.
Description of Work: Evergreen On Site was called out by a septic company after our septic tank was pumped to diagnose its problem of "backing up". The septic company was not able to expose the "D" box and felt that it would be better for Evergreen to do. Two workers from Evergreen On Site came out, poked around a bit, said they had to come back with a digger to expose the "D" box to determine the problem and that Brad, their rep and drain field expert, would come out to determine what was going on and what was needed. We prepared the area that day for the digger and for Brad's visit to the site and the crew to come and expose the "D" box and check the lines. I called their office and talked to Sherri, their admin, who said Brad would be out possibly the next day. ($12,500.)

Process was straightforward and a good experience. I was able to pick the day I wanted to have my tank pumped, they showed up on time, did the work and explained what looked good and bad. No pressure sales pitch for additional products and services. Eddy gave tips on how to continue keeping the tank and field in top condition. Everything was cleaned up when he was done.

Both employees were helpful and friendly, and the lady scheduling the appointments made a special effort to get the final work done after the electricians had left, sending the tech out the next day even though it was Saturday (and at no extra charge). We appreciated that.
Description of Work: Evergreen made three separate trips to our house. The first trip they pumped out the tank. The next day another employee came and inspected the sump pump which was not working, and also installed a filter on the baffle of the tank. He diagnosed the problem as electrical and said we needed to have it repaired before the pump would work properly. He recommended an electrician who did not return my call, so I contacted another firm to do the work. The technician returned the day after the electrical work was done, put the pump in working condition, checked it out, and installed a warning alarm under our crawl space so we would know if it malfunctioned again. We did not have an alarm previously. Since I was unfamiliar with the workings of a septic tank and sump pump, he explained everything they had done and how it all worked.

After calling another company and waiting for them to come out, I called them and they came out the very next day. The first time they didn't charge me. My son had turned off the electric switch to the septic and the guy thought that might have been the problem. It was still backed up 3 or 4 days later so I called and they sent someone out on Labor Day to fix it. They are definitely reliable and offer great customer satisfaction and service!

Very well. Job was accomplished better than promised. Rather than calling for a separate service call, the pumping technician fixed an alarm sensor in the pump chamber (it was a simple fix) rather than having it cost more money by having another tech come out to fix it. My only issue (and it is a very minor one) is that they said they would call me on my cell phone about 20-30 minutes before they arrived. They actually called my home phone at that time but did not call my cell phone until they were at the job site. As authorized, I had them get started before I arrived, which actually worked out better because I did not have to stand around waiting for them as long.

Our problem was misdiagnosed as a drain field failure. From the start Evergreen seemed to push for a complete drain field replacement at a substantial cost. Fortunately, we had a second company offer their opinion. They diagnosed a clog and suggested a repair at an estimated $600. When Evergreen saw the second opinion, they changed their diagnosis and suggested a repair estimated at $2000. We felt like from the start Evergreen was going to claim we needed a total drain field replacement for thousands of dollars when in fact all that was needed was a minor repair.
Description of Work: We had a septic problem, were told by Evergreen representative that our tank would need to be pumped before inspection. Pumping was $392. Then another person came to diagnose the problem (incorrectly it turns out) for $194. Then a third person was called out to analyze and provide an estimate ($50 fee was waived).
