Colleen and Don were excellent. I was able to get my sewer scoped the day I called. They arrived early, climbed the roof, and did a vent scope (it's hard to find someone that will do vent scopes). I have a disc of the scope and he's writing up all his findings and sending via email! So easy.

They were awesome. Very prompt, professional and explained everything they were going to do. The first company that came out wanted three times as much to fix the problem. I am in real estate and have worked with sewer companies and plumbers for years and these guys were the best I have encountered. Highly recommend this company.

They didn't accomplished the job at all. They came out with some kind of a 2000 psi pressure washer machine. I wasn't happy with them at all. They located my pipes and they gave me an estimate for replacing them. I called the other service provider and they came out with 4000 psi machine and blew the rocks through and I am completely happy with them. The Action Jackson Plumbing & Drain Cleaning were prompt, efficient, and they cleaned up after themselves but they just didn't do what they said they could do. I also had a 2000 psi machine in the garage I just didn't try it because I knew it wasn't enough. Their price was good.
Description of Work: I used Action Jackson Plumbing & Drain Cleaning. I specifically requested them to blow rocks on through my pipes.

WARNING: This review is not for the squeamish. As Murphy's Law goes, an unexepected plumbing and/or household emergency will naturally take place on a weekend or holiday. In our particular case, our plumbing emergency was discovered late in the night on Saturday, March 15th. After using the facilities and flushing as usual, we were alarmed to see the toilet paper disintegrating into bits, swirling in the bowl, but not going down! We quickly ascertained that it was not safe to flush; otherwise, our toilets would have overflowed. To make matters worse, dirty water mixed with fecal matter bubbled up in the tub (YUCK!) which was gross and unsanitary!!! Early on Sunday morning, I began making frantic calls to plumbing services we'd used in the past, as well as a number of Angie's List providers who advertised emergency 24 hour service. After making a dozen or so calls, none of whom were available, one guy suggested I call Action Jackson. When I asked for a contact number, the guy said he did not have that information. Luckily, I came across Action Jackson on Angie's List! Two polite, good-natured, capable plumbers (a master plumber and an journeyman) arrived on time, exactly when I was told they would. They assessed the situation, determined that they would need to hydro jet the main line, and went to work. The access point for their plumbing work was on our roof (!?) which I learned is not that unusual, they worked in rainy conditions on a Sunday, and did so with a friendly, can-do attitude. The obstruction was cleared within about 45 minutes, and they went on their way. On Monday, while taking a shower I noticed the bath/shower drain was not draining properly, and the water bubbled up in the toilet. "Oh, oh," I thought. "No again!" I called Action Jackson, and they said they'd be able to send a plumber out first thing on Tuesday morning. Once again, two more guys (different guys than on Sunday, but equally amiable and capable) came out to our house. This time, they were not as prompt, but I got several polite calls stating the traffic was heavy, and they'd be delayed. Once again, they inspected the line with a camera, discovered an area that showed build-up/blockagae, flushed the main line with the hydro jet, and assured me the obstruction was clear. They guarantee their work, so I was not charged for the second visit. While such a plumbing emergency is no fun for a homeowner to experience, Action Jackson got the job done not once, but twice, and I was pleased by their prompt, professional service, especially considering their availability on a weekend!
Description of Work: Checked sewer line with camera to locate blockage. Hydro jet line to remove obstruction.

We had an old cast iron pipe that had rotted through and was leaking in the crawl space. After inspecting it, they discovered that the pipe was still bad where it entered the concrete slab foundation. Jason came out and did a bid thinking they would have to dig about 1 foot into the foundation to get at some good pipe to hook into. They actually had to chip out more like 6-7 feet, a huge job for the equipment they had. They kept at it, removing foot after foot of rotten pipe until they found a good elbow to hook into. They used their camera equipment to make sure the pipe beyond that was still viable and determined that everything from the junction to the garage was good. Then the job was as simple as hooking up some new PVC drain pipe, back filling under the new pipe and pouring concrete into the ditch. They did an excellent job patching and leveling the concrete, something that wasn't discussed in the bid so very much appreciated. They were there for 5 hours. They even took a look at a bathroom remodel I am planning for the summer and gave me some recommendations for roughing in the plumbing and explained how they would do it. As far as I'm concerned, they earned themselves that job too. I'm happy with the workmanship and service we received from Action Jackson Plumbing. Thank you!

FANTASTIC! We're very happy with the service & price and have agreed to be "on their schedule" each Autumn to have our line jetted, hopefully preventing a back up again. They're a partner company with Sewer Friendly, whom I had called initially because Sewer Friendly did a lot of work on our line last year. Within 90 minutes of my initial (somewhat panicked!) call to Sewer Friendly, our line was clear again. What a great way to start a Friday. We highly recommend both companies for their professionalism, friendliness, service & price.

After having another plumber out to help is with a 'clogged' kitchen drain on our new house, we called Action Jackson to jet the line and, hopefully, clear it enough that a camera could be used to find out what was really going on down there. They came out promptly on the same day we called them and arrived several hours ahead of schedule which was very helpful. On their first visit they only worked for a brief time and so discounted the cost of the work accordingly. They found our problem and had us scheduled with Sewer Friendly promptly to dig up the line and fix the problem right away. Sewer Friendly is a partner company so Action Jackson was able to generate the bid for the work themselves. The bid they gave us was more than 1k less than the first company had quoted and included digging and ground replacement and clean up after. We were thrilled they could fit us in and that their prices were so much more reasonable. The line fix went in and it was time to follow up and have it jetted one final time to make sure it was all clear. On their return visit we found the the break had caused a large number of rocks and debris to enter the line - the hole had been on top of the pipe and a lot of material fell into it. Any other plumber would probably have had us dig it all up again or told us that we had to replace the entire line but Action Jackson was able to 'push' all the rocks and dirt out w/o harming the pipes at all. The process was very long and tedious and it started to rain towards the end. They even found a blade from another plumber that was left in the line. Despite all the obstacles, they were able to completely clear our line and save the day. They also did not leave as soon as they ran into trouble but stuck it out and finished the job - unlike our first plumber. Thanks Action Jackson!

We hired Action Jackson to hydro-jet out downspout drain line due to a water intrusion issue in our crawl space. They arrived on time and went over and above the call of duty. When it was determined that the drain line was burried (thanks City of Everett) they helped determine where the burried line was so that we could have the city correct the problem. They even came back on the morning of the 4th of July to re-jet the lines after the city fixed the burried line issue. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Action Jackson was hired by our real-estate agent to perform a sewer scope of our home during the inspection phase. They did a great job, and unfortunately detected a broken joint leading from our house to the main sewer line. Their technicians did a great job estimating what the repair would look like in terms of cost and effort, which helped us decide on making an offer on the house (which we did!). In March, we closed on our house and decided to schedule the sewer repair. We asked Action Jackson if they did this type of work, which they gave us a very competitively priced bid for. The only problem with this stage of the project was getting the bid in writing (electronic PDF), and I had to ask multiple times for this (sometimes receiving text messages in place of actual documented bids). In this day of electronic documentation, I didn't think I was out of line to request a PDF of the bid, and Action Jackson was a bit untimely getting it to me, which they eventually did. On the day of the repairs, a different sewer company showed up, which I was not informed about in advance. This was a little unnerving, as the bid I had received was with Action Jackson. I was informed that they were a subcontracted outfit, which was fine, but again ? the communication between Action Jackson and I was a little poor. Customers expect to be informed as to who they're paying when having any work done. Despite the communication mishaps, the two technicians who excavated the broken sewer line did a great job, were super informative, and replaced the broken joints very quickly. They were very fast, and did good work with the repair, but I was disappointed with the finishing of the job ? they didn't replace the soil in order, and now I've got a 2 feet deep bed of clay in my flowerbeds to deal with. In summary: Pros: -Great pricing -Quick turnaround Cons: -Poor communication

Job went well, men were polite, informative, and cleaned up well after the work was done. This was the second time I'd called them for unrelated work. I hope I won't need a plumber again for a long time, but if I do, I would not hesitate to call Action Jackson.
Description of Work: I had them come out for various small jobs in a house recently bought: 1. The fitting on the end of the copper pipe from the kitchen sink to the tube on the refrigerator ice maker leaked and the pipe had to be cut and a new fitting attached. 2. Install a spray hose attachment on the kitchen sink 3. Jacuzzi bathtub had black flakes coming from nozzles. They cleaned filter in Jacuzzi tub and ran bleach thru it.

Action Jackson had done a sewer scope on a house I bought in December. Not realizing they also did other plumbing work, I called another plumber when a hall toilet and tub started draining slowly. The other plumber snaked the toilet and gave me a quote of $3,250 to install a cleanout drain which included $700 for a permit. They also suggested I needed to replace a cast iron pipe that was rusting but gave no quote on that. Since I had yet to move into the house and the previous owners had not lived in the house much for the past five years, I was angry that Action Jackson didn't mention the iron pipe and why they didn't find the clog. They came out and reminded me they had suggested a cleanout drain in their initial inspection. Without my telling them, they suggested that it probably hadn't been used in a while and that's why the iron flakes and "stuff" was just sitting in the pipe and could cause a blockage. All it needed was to be flushed out with a couple of tubfuls of water. Action Jackson gave me a bid of $2,200 to do the cleanout drain and said they would knock off $200 if I got the permit which I did and it cost $25. I can accept paying a contractor for his time to pull a permit, but I felt the $700 from the first company was way excessive and I appreciated that Action Jackson gave me the option of pulling it myself. Overall I was quite satisfied with their work, they cleaned up well afterwards and while waiting for the inspector even cleaned out a couple of downspout drains that had been clogged because it "bugged" them! Way cool. Action Jackson was very professional, answered all my concerns and calmed my fears. And while I hope I won't need them again, I would have no problem using them in the future should another plumbing problem arise.

It was close to my worst nightmare. We have a combination laundry room / 3/4 bath. That toilet had always been a little slow ever since we bought the house, and the day before Thanksgiving, it overflowed. We just cleaned up the water and planned to do something about it the next week. On Thanksgiving, I was doing laundry in preparation for leaving the next day on a 5-day trip. When the washer started draining wash water, the adjacent toilet erupted with sewage. We later found that it had also come up in the shower. And it's Thanksgiving Day! I started calling plumbers and sewer cleaners from Angie's list, and the best I found was someone who would kindly come out for $300/hr. I had checked out Action Jackson, but they had one "C" rating, so I kept calling other one who just had "A"s. But when nobody else was very helpful and we called Action Jackson's number, they responded with a text message: "We're busy. What's up?" A couple of messages later, we had agreed to have them come out at 7 a.m. the next morning. I decided to take a different set of clothes and stayed up late packing. So I woke up about 8:30 the next morning and ... no plumber. I asked my husband, "So ... no plumber yet?" He said, "Oh, yes, they've come, found the problem, and gone. The sewer pipe is broken. They're sending another guy with a camera to figure out exactly where the break is." I had slept right through it. So I went on off to Texas and he dealt with it, calling me periodically with reports. Action Jackson gave us a fixed bid of $2500 to solve the problem. Two guys showed up to dig the hole. They were great workers - hubby described one of them as "a human digging machine." (He said, "I don't try to do any of the other stuff, I just dig.") Turned out the initial location had been off by about a foot and a half. So the "digging machine" filled up that hole with dirt from another, nearby hole, and voila! there it was. They worked all that day and part of the next day. They were really happy that the break was under an overhang where the master bedroom was expanded years ago, so they didn't have to work in the rain. Hubby sort of thought we got a discount for that. He watched the whole operation and was very pleased with the continuous hard work and the craftsmanship, if that's what you call very expert fashioning of a replacement sewer. Everything fit perfectly the first time. When they were done, they filled in the hole very nicely and even came inside and cleaned up the shower and the laundry room floor. Don Jackson, the owner, came by to check on the job and have a chat with my husband. Turns out they do inside work and subcontract the outside part, but they monitor the whole thing and ensure a good result. The subcontractor was Sewer Friendly, and all involved did a great job. We had (and still have) no idea whether $2500 was a good price for this job, but we weren't in the mood to shop around. After it was completed in a professional, expeditious manner, we felt it was a fine deal. When they finished with the broken sewer, there was still a minor root blockage (apparently the whole thing had been caused by roots from a Japanese maple). They came back and finished up that part at no extra charge, and of course, no extra charge for moving the hole. Action Jackson is in our neighborhood. In fact, we drive by them every day and had noted that they have a well-maintained facility and vehicles, which generally means the rest of the operation is pretty A-OK. In this case, that turned out to be the case. We tried A-rating companies from Angie's List first, but when that didn't pan out, we just called Action Jackson, and if there's a next time, we'll call them first.

Sewage backed up into the shower and toilets. Called several places and Don Jackson of Action jackson called back very quickly, even though it is Sunday and he was watching his daughter at her game. He asked to call us back when the game finished and did so promptly. He quoted a price and said he would arrive in about 2 hours. He arrived on time, explained what he was going to do and cleaned the sewer pipe from the house to the septic system in a very short amount of time. He explained Don turned our horrible, ruined Sunday around.d that if we were to put in a clean-out pipe we could flush the septic system ourselves and most likely prevent any problems in the future. he ran the video camera through the system to make sure everything was clear. We agreed to have him install the clean-out pipe so he used another tool to mark the pipes on the ground, asked where we wanted it placed and if it should be at ground level or higher. He asked the right questions, listened to what we wanted and was very pleasant. We will have the additional work done next week. Highly recommend Action Jackson.

Don Jackson, the owner quoted me $565.47 for a camera inspection and jetting my partially obstructed sewer line. When the "mechanic" showed up he only had a mini camera and said a DVD or camera inspection would be extra. He then jetted my line and repoirted he had gone to the main at the manhole cover and cleared the line. He went out to the manhole cover and said he saw the jetter hose extruding from the pipe. My line backed up again in one month and subsequent inspections by other companies reported the line was broken right outside the house and the debris and broken material were left in the 6" common pipe up to 60%. Don Jackson came back out and confirmed the line was broken. He then said he couldn't get past the break to check the rest of the line and left. Since then I have confirmed that my line doesn't go to the manhole cover but instead ties into the main 30 feet away. I called Don Jackson and he called his mechanic and immediately called back and said he would send me a refund check. He reneged. LESSON LEARNED: Always verify that a full camera inspection with DVD is performed before having anyone snake, jet or repair your sewer line. Action Jackson did a shoddy unprofessional 45 minute cash grab and misrepresented that my line was cleared to the main and intact.

Response from Action Jackson Plumbing & Drain Cleaning
We quoted $565.47 and thats all that was paid. Even though we visited this address three times trying to help. The first call out we came and cleared the line. We sent the sewer camera down the line and told you that you had a break and it should be fixed or you would continue to clog up. A few days later you called and were clogged again. We came out and cleared the line again FOR FREE and told you it needed fixed. To clarify the tech said he went to the manwhole and could "hear" the hose line not that he saw it. However you clogged up again and this time the owner himself came out cleared the line and sent doen a camera once again for FREE. He told you then the concrete pipe was broken and needed fixed. We even sent out a sewer repair comany and paid for them to give you an estimate to fix the line. You declined and said you would fix it yourself. You then later called and requested your money back. We respectfully declined as we did alot of work to help you and felt we could not have done a better job. Yet you still had your credit card company dispute the charge. At that point we decided this was not a battle we wanted to fight and expressed to the credit card company that we didn't disagree. So you did recieve your money back and I have the transaction numbers to prove that incase you need them. I am very sorry we couldn't help you. We strive to make a good company reputation and have a great client base that would agree. It seems in this case though that after all our efforts you were still unhappy. I hope the other companies you went with were able to help you at a reasonable price.
