Don and his crew showed up twenty minutes early, worked hard and fast to get us back up and running, and were clean and courteous at the same time. They explained all the work they were doing and even gave me a video file to show to the city as proof of the broken sewer line at the city's end of my line! They showed up and turned an emergency situation into a giant win. Couldn't have been happier with the service.

A little late, but I was kept informed. Installation was excellent. A little difficulty with receiving proper receipts and paperwork.

The owner and employees of this business were super responsive. They called to talk through the potential problem beforehand , arrived on time with the correct tools needed and solved our problem extremely fast! They knew enough from asking over the phone to be fully prepared once they arrived. They were also kind and very professional! They were also priced competitively and the job was done right from beginning to the end! Thank you I will call again and happy to leave a great review for a local business! Great job.

Beware!!!!!!! Tech arrived on time, tried to snake my sink for about half hour. He then gave up after not being able to maneuver around a fitting and left because of other calls! Then handed me $270 bill without a solution! Would not use again. Beware!!!!!!!

They have a shop in Edmonds WA and were able to send a crew out immediately on a Sunday afternoon! Two young men showed up. They were professional, polite and had a squared away appearance; up to and including their matching jackets, pants and Salomon boots!! They were quick to get the line blown out and were very good at explaining the entire process.

After snaking, they said I needed a full jetting for an additional $595 due to debris. I had already had this company jet those same pipes recently and was disappointed they had no record of it. It made me feel uneasy so I declined the additional jetting. However, since they snaked it this time, there have been 0 problems and I am glad I declined the extra jetting. When I called the main office to inquire why they had no record of my past service, they said they had recently changed their record system. Later that day, I found the used snake line on the ground right next to where they had parked.

We called Action Jackson; they came out that morning and cleared the drain. The charge was much less than we expected after we got prices from other plumbers. We were very satisfied with them and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone with a similar problem.

The bottom line: I have never had such high highs and low lows with the same service provider. Action Jackson came out the same day and my drain is now clear (yay!), but the verbal price estimates I received throughout the process were many and varied, which resulted in a difficult confrontation at the end of the visit. I also wish that they had checked the in-house drains before performing an expensive sewer scope, but my plumbing experience is limited, so I can allow that perhaps the odds were in favor of there being a sewer issue. Details: I called Action Jackson on a weekday morning and explained our floor & sink drain backup issues. The lady on the phone quoted me a price of $500 for a full jetting of the main sewer line. I explained that we had just had the sewer line scoped 2 years ago and it was clear (with no signs of any pending issues), but was told this was what needed to be done. I was (gratefully) given a same day appointment time of 1 pm. When I arrived home shortly before 1, two plumbers had already arrived, so I ushered them downstairs and pointed out the relevant drains and pipes. I reiterated to them that we had a clear sewer scoping 2 years ago. I was then informed that the charge for jetting the sewer line was $595. After insisting several times that I was quoted $500, the plumber let it drop (later, during the plumbers' visit, I called their office and verified the original quote of $500). The plumbers then looked at the access to the sewer and informed me that there would be an additional $100 charge for removing the toilet so that he could access the sewer line. While I seriously disagreed with the price for such a simple task, I didn't feel I had a choice, given the situation. The plumbers then removed the toilet, sent the scope through the sewer line and discovered that it was completely clear. So since a sewer jetting was not going to be required, I was given a revised cost estimate of $250 for the already-complete sewer scoping, and $100 to clear the drain line in the house. They then opened the access port on the kitchen drain I previously pointed out to them and found the standing water. They concluded that the shower drain was tied into the kitchen drain, which was the original source of the backup materials. After 15 minutes of routing, the drain was clear and water was able to flow freely without backing up. Once the job was complete and the tools packed up, I was asked to pay a total of $495 for the job. Since that was not the number I was given most recently, I asked for a breakdown for that cost, but he couldn't give me one. He just said that he had contacted his boss (Don Jackson) who had told him to charge that amount. So while the plumber waited, I attempted to call Don directly for an explanation, but had to leave a voicemail. A moment later, Don called his plumber's cell phone and refused his plumber's offer to hand me the phone so that I could speak directly with him, as I had requested. The plumber hung up and explained to me that the cost was $250 for the scoping, $100 for the drain cleaning, and now $150 for the toilet removal. But he had just now been authorized to give me a 10% discount. I paid by credit card at the end of the visit, and was told that I would receive an email receipt, but as of yet I have not received one. So as of time of this review I have no written documentation regarding this payment or what service I just paid for. I have attempted to call their office a couple times to inquire about my email receipt, but I keep getting a busy signal.

Jason, and his assistant Kermit, did an outstanding job. Jason quickly diagnosed the problems and was able to clear out the blockage and remove roots that had intruded into the outside drain by using high pressure water. All the while Jason kept us informed as to what he was doing. He also recommended ongoing maintenance to prevent this problem occurring again. We called Action Jackson last night at 5:30 pm, and they were prepared to come out immediately. Instead we scheduled for 8:00 am this morning. We would highly recommend Action Jackson.

Jay and crew were prompt and professional. They explained what they were going to do and showed visual of their findings. With an older home, Jay provided suggestions on how to keep the lines clean and what to look out for in the future.

They couldn't complete the job and they said I had to hire them or someone else to put an access point in my driveway which would be a couple thousand dollars. They said it would be impossible to do all the way out to the street. They did try to do it but they couldn't complete it.

A couple days later I hired another company to come out and do the inspection and they had no problem at all.

I reach out to them every couple of weeks. They always say they will follow up with me or the owner will and they never reach back out to me it feels like they just want me to go away.
Response from Action Jackson Plumbing & Drain Cleaning
"We arrived on site and assessed the situation. Our techs spent several minutes and several attempts to get the cap off the clean out in the basement. We could not remove it and asked the owner if we could cut it off. He refused. He also refused us to pull a toilet which requires a signature on a release form. If the other company did it without permission than that is their company's policy. Our insurance requires us to have a signature so that we are covered if the toilet breaks or the clean out cap has to be cut off. If the owner will not approve that, the last resort is the roof vent., trust me we do not want to go climb a two story house to do a sewer scope but if it is all we have left we have no other resort."

Toilet stopped-up the day after Thanksgiving.
I tried a plunger but it didn't work, so ... after reading a few online reviews and knowing we needed a repair, called Action-Jackson early (6:50 AM) Friday morning,.  I also knew that the Thanksgiving holiday is one of the busiest days of the year plumbers and drain clearing given the amount of grease that goes down sinks, etc.
The woman who answered my call arranged for an appointment at 10 AM and said it could possibly be earlier.  Got a call at 8:40 AM from a guy in the truck and asked if they could arrive early.  Yes!  Two guys arrived soon after with all the necessary drain clearing equipment and after a couple of questions began the job.  After a bit of work, retrieved a washcloth that somehow (!!!) had fallen into the toilet and had gotten flushed.  I also asked them to check on a bathroom sink that was draining slowly and they used a small "hair retrieval" tool and the drain worked better.
I used an Angies List coupon that I had printed out that took 10% off the total.  The two workers were professional, knew what they were doing, and accomplished the task quickly.  Very pleased with the work and if I have a drain problem in the future, I will use their services again.

Thanks Jason and Tony for freeing up my drains......especially since I have houseguests coming today :-)

One of my toilets was blocked and I called after 5 pm on a Wednesday evening.  They were able to schedule me for the following day at noon but called me the following morning to say they were ahead of schedule and could come earlier if I wanted them to (which I did).  Two men showed up, one of whom snaked the toilet/drain while the other handled the business end of things.  After the toilet was cleared, they had me flush it several times to make sure I was satisfied that it was cleared.  It now flushes better than it ever has since I've lived here.  The price was slightly less than I was quoted over the phone.  It was all a very satisfactory experience. My only slightly negative comment is that one of the men smelled very strongly of cigarettes which took a little bit of time to clear my bathroom.  Otherwise, it went very well and I would call them again.

I was very pleased to have them come within about an hour of my call. The servicemen (3 total: one to diagnose and 2 to jet) were all pleasant and got the job done quickly.  My only complaint is regarding the angie's list 10% off service coupon. The first guy to come out and diagnose said that his boss insisted I have a print out of the coupon in order to get the discount and that payment was due upon completion of service. I had told the customer service person on the phone I was an angie's list member and she said she would take care of it. Certainly it does say on the coupon to print it out, but a reminder from the  Action Jackson customer service person on the phone would have been great. It took me telling the serviceman that if his boss wanted my further business - the expensive jetting job that I had scheduled for an hour later- he would have to allow me until that later appointment to get the coupon printed. Once I said that, they acquiesced and let me pay for both the diagnostic and jetting at once with the 10% discount. Hence, I only had to run to the copy shop and print out one copy. I did greatly appreciate that. Having to print out the coupon and physically hand it to the serviceman when he collected my check seemed ridiculous, however, considering that all of the billing, receipts, etc, were done by him electronically. I have no physical receipt myself, only electronic!. This is not so much a complaint against Action Jackson as it is with this general rule about angie's list coupons needing to be printed out. There must be a more efficient - electronic - way to help members get their discounts.
